I
was
searching
for
a
practice
that
would
let
me
deliver
with
midwives
and
took
my
insurance
and
stumbled
upon
All
About
Women's
care.
From
the
start,
it
was
clear
that
the
admin
staff
and
medical
staff
were
on
different
pages.
Medical
would
say
results
would
take
a
few
days
while
admin
would
say
it
would
take
up
to
10.
Medical
would
ask
for
an
ultrasound
and
I
would
get
an
appointment
without
an
ultrasound
(and
then
was
encouraged
to
come
back
another
day
for
the
US,
rather
than
them
work
me
in).
Also,
beware
that
just
because
your
insurance
is
taken
there,
does
not
necessarily
mean
that
the
lab
that
does
genetic
testing
does.
Mine
wasn't
but
no
one
tells
you
that.
The
midwives
and
the
medical
assistants
are
friendly,
but
you
definitely
feel
more
like
a
number
at
this
practice.
This
is
my
first
pregnancy
and
I
was
clear
up
front
I
have
no
idea
what
I
am
doing,
and
unless
I
asked
pointed
questions,
I
was
given
no
information
on
what
to
expect
going
forward
in
my
pregnancy
or
really
how
it
was
going
unless
I
was
the
one
to
ask.
Records
were
super
slow
to
update
on
the
portal
and
got
asked
at
multiple
appointments
questions
that
should
have
been
recorded
previous
appointments
(like
medications
which
they
prescribed
were
never
on
there)
I
never
really
knew
what
we
were
doing
at
the
next
appointment
or
why.
Luckily
I
had
other
reliable
places
to
turn
and
was
low
risk.
The
admin
staff
are
less
friendly
and
the
billing
coordinator
is
hostile.
I
called
previously
about
a
letter
I
got
regarding
global
billing
for
my
pregnancy
and
delivery
as
I
wanted
to
understand
why
I
would
pay
for
services
before
I
had
them
completed,
and
she
was
downright
rude.
I
decided
that
I
wanted
to
switch
practices
at
30
weeks
into
my
pregnancy.
When
I
mentioned
that
I
wanted
to
discuss
billing,
the
billing
coordinator
came
out
in
a
huff
stating
that
we
had
talked
before
and
I
knew
I
had
to
pay
the
global
billing
price.
I
told
her
that
was
not
what
I
was
discussing
today,
as
I
would
no
longer
be
a
patient
at
this
practice
and
wanted
her
to
bill
me
individually
for
what
I
was
seen
for,
and
how
to
transfer
my
records.
She
straight
up
clapped
at
me
and
said
"once
you
sign
this
release
you
cannot
come
back"
(which
the
midwife
told
me
I
could
come
back/call
if
I
had
any
emergencies
before
my
care
started
at
our
next
practice).
They
also
sent
incomplete
records
to
my
new
practice
and
when
the
new
practice
called
to
request
the
gaps
in
my
records,
the
medical
records
department
(which
from
what
I
can
tell
is
also
the
billing
coordinator)
said
they
needed
a
release,
which
was
on
file
previously
and
how
the
new
practice
already
had
information
on
me
minus
the
few
gaps.
I
have
yet
to
receive
a
bill
for
all
the
services
divided
out
that
I
have
been
seen
for,
but
I
can
tell
you
from
experience
that
there
will
be
issues.
I
was
really
hopefully
that
this
practice
would
be
a
good
fit,
and
was
so
very
disappointed.
