Return visit for to-go of: Pork Ribs and Ropa Viejo meals set. And from their bakery: Yucca Roll Cheese and Ham empanada Quesito Key Lime tart New added favorite, Quesito. You won't regret going there. _____________ First visit, weekday afternoon before 4pm. Simple diner atmosphere, ordering is just like cafeteria style, selections laid out w/payment at end. Meal will consist of your choice of: * Rice (4 choices) * Entree * side of either fried plantains or boiled yucca Our meal consisted: * Pork Ribs /Yellow rice with beans / yucca * Ropa Viejo / Yellow rice with veggies / fried plantains * Flan for dessert It was actually difficult choosing the entree as the all looked very good. First taste of Cuban food and it will be a favorite destination. Coffee was another A+, served in a small styrofoam cup bigger than a shot glass but (!) definitely loved the surprise of tasting STRONG ☕. And believe me, I 💕💕💕 coffee straight black. Pastries, baked goods, bread also available. Got to-go of: * Pork Ribs meal * Empanadas - Ham and Cheese - Chorizo - Chicken My favorite was the Ham and Cheese. I found the Chorizo too salty and the Chicken filling had still bones in them. Loved the dough, though! * Yucca Roll was very good and will be a fave Verdict: 5-⭐ Will be a repeat destination. Looking forward to trying more. Will have to try the cakes and pastries next. Your first visit? Recommend the Pork Ribs and the Ropa Viejo. That's what I got and love it!

Im so happy i found this spot. Had a Cuban sandwich and it was HUGE! Easily made for two people. I will be back to try the hot foods. The wait is a little long but worth it. Must try! Update: came back two days later because I was near by and got the hot foods…omg!!!! It’s so good. Got rice and beans, pork, yuca, and plantains. My husband got rice, ribs, and the soup of the day which was ajiaco. Also got some pastries and the guava pastry was so hot and fresh. Love this spot…might have to work here just to get free food or they will take all my money.

People have been suggesting this place to me for years now and I finally decided to give it a try. OMG as soon as I walked in the door it smelled like home. Mmmmmmm what an hidden gem inside a strip mall. This place definitely needs to be a family restaurant because wow that flavor is absolutely delicious 🤤. This is definitely a must try whether you live in town out of town or just in the State visiting. You gotta try this place you won’t be disappointed. Plenty of seating and parking. P.S the food was soooo good I gave the owner a hug🤗

I’m Cuban, from Miami, both sets of grandparents are from Cuba and my dad is from Cuba, about as fresh off the boat as you can get, this is the best, most authentic Cuban food I’ve ever had outside of my Abuela’s house! I went twice during my visit to Denver. The Cuban bread is authentic (which is shockingly hard to find), the croqueta sandwich was so perfect I felt like I was back in Miami, tostones and maduros were excellent. And, the cafecito (espresso) was made perfectly with espumita (whipped, foamy sugar that floats to the top). Truly the best Cuban food I’ve ever had outside of my own family. Wonderful job! I’m looking to move to the Denver area and I can absolutely guarantee that I will be a regular here. Authentic AND delicious even to non Cubans (see picture of my friend)!

1st time here, place was very clean and open. Good looked and smelled amazing. I got the Cuban sandwich which was huge! Took me two days to eat it. They had lots of desserts to choose from as well. All looked very fresh. You order like a buffet style and walk to cashier. Service was Pleasant. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back the food tasted amazing! It was also quick to come out.

Public service review for anyone hesitant to try this place: do it! I have been here a couple times now and the food is consistently good. They have make your own plates with various meats, rices, if you're curious what they are just ask. They are very friendly and helpful. My favorite is the ropa vieja (shredded steak) and tostones ( fried, smashed plantain). I have also had the pollo guisado (stewed chicken) amazing! Now on to the pastries...things to try...any of the empanadas (fried pastry with meat filling), papas rellenas ( fried potato ball with meat filling) AND my all time favorite because they remind me of childhood the quesitos (cream cheese pastries) they have a nice and crunchy glaze on the outside and light flaky inside. Brought me back🥲 ¿okay que estas haciendo? ¡ vete y prueba lo! Much love from this Puerto Rican 🇵🇷

Delicious empanadas! We had spinach, beef Jamaican, and ropa vieja empanadas for breakfast. Yummy! Lunch and pastries looked amazing. Will come back to try those! One of each, please!

Good, Authentic Cuban cafe food, pastries, drinks (including Cuban Espresso!) and music. Daily entree specials, served up quickly. The fresh pastry selection is overwhelming. It takes a few visits to familiarize yourself. I love their Cafecito, Cuban version of espresso. Just the right temperature and cup size to finish off my dessert. 🥰 The sandwiches are HUGE, so half of it usually becomes another meal at home. The Parking is shared by several businesses, making it a challenge at times They are open for breakfast and lunch, but close before sundown.

Wow. What a treasure we found while in our trip to CO. Excellent good- excellent service- the atmosphere felt little hot as it was a lil crowded and no AC I think. We got ox tail with rice and plantains. It was really good. We also enjoyed the guava cheese with jam pastry and beef pastry. Overall- amazing. We will come back if we ever come back to CO! 🙂❤️

Amazing and generous portions. Specifically came here to try a bit of everything because of other great reviews. This bakery and eatery did not disappoint. With authentic cuisine and flavors and family style service you won't go hungry. Staff takes time to answer any questions and is very helpful if it's your first time in. If you are wanting their baked goods come early as the cut slices of cake were starting to dry out on the outer edges. Even with that aside the pastries and baked goods were divine. The variety and selection was great. Thank you for a wonderful feast.

I finally found a real Cuban bakery and Cafe in Colorado. The food was delicious! PS, I went back this weekend and can I tell you how rude and very disappointing the customer service was this time. The young lady who was taking my order was very rude, and seemed very irritated that I could not speak Spanish well enough to articulate, or pronounce the food names that I was trying to order. She was literally raising her voice and making a scene every time I pronounced something the best I could. Then telling me she couldn’t understand me but somehow saying this in English. All a while she’s yelling the correct words back at me. I even tried to pointing at the food but she was so impatient and rushing me and refuse to move where she was standing to look at what I was pointing at. Also, there where 2 other ladies helping the other customers, and they were the nicest to them and helpful, unlike her to me. I got so embarrassed that I just stopped trying to order what I wanted and paid for what I had already gotten. Even the people behind me was looking at her funny for how she was treating me. So, make sure you brush up on your Spanish before going in there or you will not get good service. It’s a shame because the food is really delicious.

Had some nice empanadas, coffee was nice, flan needed a little work and plantains we ok. Solid 4. There are not a lot of Cuban restaurants in the area, but it is something to try if you never have.

I’ve been to the Cuban Bakery often for lunch. The food is ridiculously awesome! I’ve had both their Cuban sandwiches and hot-serve menu items and they are all very tasty! Be sure to pick your dessert while ordering your meal…the line can get a bit long due to the place’s high popularity and you probably don’t want to go through twice! I highly recommend this place! Update, just had the ox tails, which they only serve on Saturdays…the portion was huge and the tails so tender and tasty!!

great good! the cuban sandwich, the black beans, the rice and sides was great, the croquetas were small, dry and cold, the service was not amazing but the worst part was all the tables were dirty, the floor was sticky and the place is swarmed with flies.

From subtle to savory, every dish is an explosion of flavors that are perfect together. I got hooked on their Cheese Danish (pastelitos). But everything I try becomes a new favorite like their oxtails (rabo encendido). I'm not Cuban but with transplants in line traveling from Nebraska and Colo Spgs to get their "Miami fix" I can comfortably say it is as authentic as it is delicious.

So I was first introduced to this place by a friend that brought me one of their tasty pastries. I have gotten to go back and try their other food since. I really liked their chicken empanada. It was one $3 and larger then what other places charge you more for. Also their macaroons were only $1 each where other places charge $2-4. I will be going back to work my way through their other offerings. Most of the desserts in their display case made it really hard for me to limit my order.

Their food is amazing and their baked goods are very good. I am very happy to find this place and had my lunch there. Their food portions are large which is great because I eat a lot. Their dessert display is very attractive. Highly recommend.

Super hard to find a spot like this so I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's also family owned so it stands to reason that because I'm Puerto Rican and I have many cuban friends that I would be partial to flavors that I've had at home. With that said....their pastries/desserts are all amazing. Loved the empanadilla de ropa vieja. The Cuban sandwich was good. The picadillo was a hard to enjoy. It's not that it didn't taste good but I couldn't get past the idea that they didn't cook the olives in the carne because they were still pretty hard. And it was pretty greasy which it doesn't have to be. The platano Maduro was not cooked in fresh oil in my opinion because I could taste remnant of something that was not platano. Maybe I just had the bottom of the batch 🤷🏾‍♀️ I wasn't sure what it was but maybe it was just me. The restaurant itself was clean and lively. They have good organization to keep the flow of customers from bunching up so that's great. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Overall I think I'd go back and try some other dishes on the menu and give a more complete review.

Very friendly staff and the sweets are phenomenal. I recommend the coconut pastry, the tres leches (I think theirs is called quadruple?), and the key lime.

Food is very good. The atmosphere is clean and feels like a little family restaurant environment. The people are kind and friendly. The cost is great as you can get a full meal that can easily be 2 meals for $15

Had a great breakfast this morning. I ordered the Sandwich de Desayuno which was larger than I expected and tasted great. My wife ordered a Tostada and Cafe con Leche which brought her back to when she was growing up in Miami after emigrating from Cuba. I also ordered a cafecito which was made perfect! There are lots of great options from pastries, empanadas, desserts, and everything between. Highly recommended!
