We have been taking the kids here for well over a decade and always have a wonderful!!! They have multiple trails and all are fairly easy to trek with the chillins throughout the whole park. We have definitely had the opportunity to camp in a trailer as well as a tent. This place accommodates both very well. Very gorgeous views the whole hike through. Also we like to hit the fish hatchery and the ice caves when we do come out this way

Great short hike for the family. Not difficult at all. The caves were so cool. I wish I would have had a better flash light than the one on my phone. So we could have explored them a little better. The falls were really cool even late into July early August, running strong. We hiked up to the top of them to the look outs. At the top there are some ponds and I believe there is some fishing there.

This is an awesome state park. It can be very sketchy if it is icy. Very, very sketch. But, it is beautiful. The Limestone Caves are very neat to explore. Lots of trout swimming around. Just pure beauty... and make sure to drive up the creek into the Gorge. It is better than some national parks!!

Most beautiful place! The waterfalls are amazing and you can actually walk right up to it and take pictures behind the falls. Lots of parking and trails. The staff was very nice and helpful.

I have hiked to these falls in the winter a few years ago, which made me want to hike again in the spring, and let me tell you, they do not disappoint no matter the season. Instead of hiking the main trail we hiked coyote trail, after paying for our parking pass at the main entrance, which was absolutely magnificent! It's a fairly easy hike, the pups enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and there are lots of caves to explore along this trail as well as crystal clear mini falls surrounded by lush greenery.

This was a wonderful surprise to find outside if Rifle. The loop walk takes you past small caves, and up to the top of the waterfalls where they have several platforms to view the gals from the top. Once you come back down there are also multiple viewing areas with great photo opportunities. The mist coming off the falls was so refreshing on a hot day. The park is clean with multiple picnic tables and overnight camping spots

This place is awesome, the views from below, behind and above the waterfalls are breathtaking. There are caves throughout the park some are easily accessible others are a bit challenging but doable. There's several trails and some have handrails when needed. On the top their is a gorgeous pond and other scenic adventures. Entry fee is $9 for day pass or they offer state park yearly fees. Would highly recommend this place.

The falls are amazing and easily accessible at the bottom, a short distance from the parking lot (if not full). There are amazing views from the top, hiking up a marked path, with little to no rails to hold on to. There's a short hike to the cave area next to and under the falls!

An amazing, hidden gem within the Colorado state park system! A little out of the way from I-70, but worth the trip. $10 per vehicle for a day pass. Be sure to hike around the trails and read the signs to learn about the intriguing history of the falls and the surrounding area. Vault toilets and picnic tables near parking lot. Dogs are allowed on the trails, up to a certain point, read carefully. Take only pictures, leave only footprints.

Tiny little state park. Self-serve to pay. Nice walking path around the edges where you can look at some caves and go above the waterfalls. They were picnic tables available. They were restrooms available. I would go there again.

Very beautiful Park with bathrooms and hiking trails. They have these weird Sandstone caves that you can explore. They have places where you can sit or take a picnic lunch. The Falls were gorgeous and go in the morning, it's a little cooler. If you go make sure you take $10 cash to pay for your park pass in case the park rangers not there yet. You'll need this $10 to pay for your park pass and it will get you into the other nearby rifle Gap and the other two state parks nearby. The past is good for one day. They have campgrounds here too you can tent camp or RV camp. I'm not sure what the camp cost is that you'll have to look up.

I had a few spare hours while in Rifle and decided to visit the falls. It was well worth the visit. Hit up the Coyote trail for the best views of the falls. Around the base things will be crowded, but at the top and the vantage points on the way down aren't, and give you a great view of the falls. The park itself was clean and well used. Staff were very helpful, but parking may be an issue.

Beautiful and small state park with very easy trails. Exploring the caves was also fun. I wish it had more picnic tables around the waterfall area. Campground looks very nice.

We took my parents to this local state park and they loved it. What I love the most about the park is how accessible the park is for people with lower fitness levels or disabilities. The path to the park was well maintained and very short from the parking lot. There's other hiking options that go up and over the waterfalls and through the caves for the more fitness-inclined as well. A porta-potty is available near the entrance as well. Don't forget to bring $10 for an admissions pass if you don't have the Colorado State Park pass!

Great price at $10 for a day pass for entire carload of people. Easy hiking trails for all Abilities of hikers young & old, main part of trail in front of waterfall easily wheelchair accessible, not much past that first big trail though. Caves were great for the kids to crawl through and many brought their 4 legged friends also. Overall the beauty was well worth it and wasn't too over crowded on a weekday around 11am.

The Falls are pretty neat to go visit. I recommend going early, before 10 am, if you want a parking space at the bottom side. There is only room for 32 cars and it's very busy over the weekend. There is a little space to park up above next to the Fish Hatchery, but it's also very limited and it's a decent walk from there to the top of the falls. It will also cost $10 for the state park pass but it's good for any Colorado state park until noon the next day. That's if you don't already have a pass or the special license plate tags.

Beautiful Park and Campground. Both the RV section and the tent section are small and more intimate and they are separated. I stayed in the RV section and one side is along the creek. This is lovely because you can hear it at night. Also, it’s a short walk to the falls and the hiking trail that goes around and above it. The limestone caves were a surprise, they are magnificent and you can go in them. I highly recommend this park for a peaceful stay.

This was a beautiful little gem we found in this quaint town of Rifle. We paid the 9-dollar day use fee and took the small hike to the 3 beautiful waterfalls. These waterfalls flow into a cute little fairy tale type brook. The 3 waterfalls, by themselves, make you feel as if you've been transported to Hawaii for a minute. You can easily climb/hike up behind the waterfalls to explore some small limestone caves that look pretty cool. If you continue on the coyote trail, which is up and behind the falls, you will see a little fishing pond. You can also get a fantastic aerial shot at the top of the falls. There are picnic tables around so you can bring a lunch and enjoy a nice picnic.

Easy hike. Great for exploring. Our dogs loved it just as much. This area is beautiful. Would definitely recommend to visit! We got some great pics here but they never do it justice!

Beautiful! We took the Squirrel and Coyote trails, both of which are beautiful on their own, but then you add the falls, and it was amazing!

Wow ! great park with hiking trails and a nice camping area. The waterfall is very easy to get to and it's stunning . This is a must stop if your close to Rifle Co.

Rifle Falls are such a beautiful triple waterfall that exceeded our expectations. The trail takes the hiker up to the falls then around to the top and back down to the other side. There are some really cool rock formations as well as caves along the trail. There view of the falls from each point is spectacular!

Loved it! This year has seen a lot of rain so the lake was high and the waterfalls were powerful and gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed the trails, creeks, hiking, kayaking and camping in Elk Creek/Rifle State parks.

Amazing state park, beautiful waterfalls, caves and gorgeous hiking trails. Our first time here, visiting from Miami and this park didn't disappoint. We saw birds, wildlife and even hiked to the fish hatchery. The trail to the fish hatchery is not easy and tight in a few areas but very worth it.

An absolutely beautiful park! Plenty of hiking trails to pick from. Not to mention the waterfalls, caves, and camping sites. Definitely a must see! And wow, the river below the falls is crystal clear....

It's about 20 minutes north of the interstate, but well worth a stop if you're near Rifle, CO. We just stopped to visit the falls but they have some camping there as well. The falls were wonderful and depending on the time of day you go they cast a great rainbow. There are pit toilets for restrooms. You do have to pay a entrance fee.

👍👍 We visited nearly all of the places to drive to and did many of the hikes. The Sunrise Trail was more difficult but one of our favorites. It had lots of people on it but lots of places to stop and take pictures but it has a lot of elevation change. The visitors center was very nice and the video sho...
