Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Room

Emergency room

😠 I’ve been waiting in the ER to be seen by a doctor since 9 pm. It's currently 1:51 am. I’m here because I'm experiencing bad chest pains and was advised by Teledoc to go to the ER. A woman with a sprang/fractured wrist was just given a room and she arrive 3 hours after me. I guess having chest... People often mention hours, pain, room, wait, hospital, waiting,

Do yourself some good and DO NOT go to this hospital. Wait times are at least 3 hours and can be up to 8 just to be taken into a room. Not to mention they never had any results, my primary care ended up curing my sickness. This week my best friend passed out and was uncontrollably throwing up, she was taken here in an ambulance and waited 6 hours. She was passing out and throwing up in the lobby for SIX hours and her Mom ended up taking her to UC health. They will take someone with a sprained ankle while letting other patients die.

I’ve been waiting in the ER to be seen by a doctor since 9 pm. It's currently 1:51 am. I’m here because I'm experiencing bad chest pains and was advised by Teledoc to go to the ER. A woman with a sprang/fractured wrist was just given a room and she arrive 3 hours after me. I guess having chest pains is less of an emergency than a hurt wrist. They also took a guy that was an absolute nuisance before me too. He also arrived after me and the whole time he was talking and walking around eating snacks. Also, he stole a water bottle another patient that was seeing a doctor left on the lobby table, but I guess the theft is more of a medical emergency than my chest pain. This is ridiculous. During these past 5 hours, I've debated leaving and risking possibly having a pulmonary embolism than continuing to wait and grow old here. I'm disgusted at this point, truly. I'm patient but these two individuals being seen before me is unacceptable. I just checked with the person at the front desk and inquired why I haven't been seen yet. Apparently, if you come with an urgent emergency then you're going to have the longest wait because they take the simple stuff first because there are more rooms for the simple stuff than the urgent stuff. Now I'm extremely upset. Healthcare is an absolutely expensive joke in this country!

I don’t know about the ER specifically, but if your looking for a labor and delivery hospital, this hospital rocks. The entire nursing staff that we had was so professional and so informative for first time parents. We never felt rushed and they sat down with us and answered all of our questions numerous times. We never felt like we were bothering them. One nurse even stopped in from another floor, that helped us the day prior to check on us before we left. Dr. Yu was the delivery doctor and made us feel comfortable the entire time and also sat down with us before we left for several minutes just talking about our baby and answering any questions we had. We LOVED her. Whoever hires and trains the labor and delivery staff, we applaud you. You guys made us appreciate the joy and happiness of becoming first time parents and it was a great experience we will cherish and never forget. Ryan, Holly, and Ashton. Thank you guys again so much!

Good Samaritan used to be my go to hospital when having a sickle cell pain crisis but over the years it has gone down hill something terrible..when having a pain crisis they used to prioritize getting me back if i was in excruciating pain..now they just let you sit in the waiting room in agony an emergency room wait should never be hours on top of hours..i have a temp of 102 with a pain level of 8 and exposure to covid and i have been in the waiting room 4 hours and counting..it's very irresponsible to even put me back in the waiting room with the knowledge i most likely have covid that can spread and chest pains with sickle cell. I hate that i even have to give one star.

One of the best hospitals in Cincinnati you can go to. They’ve correctly diagnosed my husbands issues after years of fighting with the VA. Our current experience, with a nurse named Kristopher subbing in in the ER was phenomenal. He was the best nurse my husband has ever, ever had. He was kind and compassionate and had excellent bedside manner. Thank you Good Sam for caring for your patients and treating them with respect.

I could not have received poorer treatment unless I asked for it. Came in with upper right abdominal pain pressure in the gallbladder area. Said they couldn't do an ultrasound because they weren't staff to do so. Did a pregnancy test on me even though I told them my tubes were tied. Prescribed me two medications that I am allergic to. So I basically left no better than I came in if not worse.

You know you have a bad ER department when you wait over 6 hours for no help just sitting there in agony. I was so dehydrated that I was lightheaded and dizzy to sit in one place. There was no transparency, no help and horrible sanitation. If your looking for an ER department avoid this place unless you like torturing yourself.

I love this hospital. The service is amazing, the doctors are always knowledgeable and concerned for their patients that come to be seen. The wait time is usually not bad during morning hours and they have gone above and beyond to help find out what was going on with me during my visits.

It's incredible, I'm with my wife who had surgery, she's bleeding from the wound and we've been waiting for 2 hours for them to call, what a shame, how can they let her wait for an open wound?

Saw Dr Spaz last night-worse experience ever- only goal for him was to tell me I go to hospitals to much- if he actually looks at all the different specialists I have see for all my health conditions I have always taken my pain meds as prescribed. He was arrogant, argumentative, and discriminatory. I told him the only reason I have multiple drs is bc of my complicated medical history. Going to any ER or hospital I want to is not a crime- unfortunately I have gone to some that the doctors are not treating you or blow you off. He would not let me talk and walked out while I was speaking. I need to know how to get certain things removed from my notes bc the things he wrote were absolutely not true and I will be complaining to the medical board.

Waited 5+ hours to get a gash stitched in my forehead, never waited this long for an ER visit before this is ridiculous.

I was born here 41 years ago. I went back for a cellulitis infection and got very poor treatment. Disappointing. And poor doctor bedside manner.

If you enjoy long wait times, no transparency, staff that don't care, and nasty bathrooms then this is the waiting room for you!

The employees are college students mostly. The are all lazy and doesn't care enough about their patients or their elders.

I went to be seen for stomach pain that i’ve had for a week straight, nausea, hot flashes, hard to breathe, sharp pains when i breathe. all the doctor did was press on my stomach, give me medicine & fluids & sent me home. they didnt even look at my urine that the said they needed to collect from me. the only labs/tests they did were ekg & blood tests. no ct scans to look at my stomach or intestine. they said thats a gi doctors job. this place is a joke.
