I took the War Tour with Kristina, this is both one of the best and also most deeply personal tours I’ve even taken. It’s very rare that a tour leaves you emotionally touched; this one manages to do this while giving you info about the city and historic events. It was only 20/25 years ago that a war happened in Europe‘s own back yard, and this tour throws in your face (in my own opinion) the need for strong European institutions, the rule of law, a free and independent press and robust democratic safeguards. Kristina managed this by brilliantly blending in historical facts and personal insights, all the while trying to remain objective in a area where objectivity hardly exists - in war, cliche as it sounds, there are no good guys. They really try to highlight both sides though. I hope she and the others continue to give this tour; it will only be through sharing information and dialogue that the wounds of the past can start to heal. Ten out of five stars (if you commit to the tour worth every penny)

Our guide Vid was great! He shared a lot of personal stories as well as relevant facts about the City during our walking tour. We also got to see some places that we weren’t have otherwise knew about. 2 hours went by so fast that we barely felt it. Highly recommended.

The excursion was an Invaluable resource for anything we could want to know for our inaugural trip to Zagreb. Seriously, folks. This was hands down the fastest way to hit the Zagreb ground running, not to mention probably the most enjoyable way to get our bearings and set our course for the rest of our vacation! Luka was great! Very professional, knowledgeable, and a great speaker. I knew absolutely nothing of Croatian history prior to the tour and he thoroughly satisfied my desire for historical knowledge. We saw all the main highlights of Zagreb and how the city grew from 2 rival medieval towns to the beautiful modern city it is today. Only thing we wish we learned a bit more of was the mid-late 20th century under Yugoslavia. We find that quite fascinating as westerners from Canada, but understand it can be a sensitive topic as it was quite recent. Luka also provided tons of great recommendations for things to do and how to get around the city. We love free walking tour and Luka did a fantastic job. Thank you!

My wife, son and I did this tour yesterday and it was fantastic! Our tour guide was Ivanna and she was extremely knowledgeable and amazing! It’s high season, so there were a lot of people, but they split the group into two groups of 20, which was perfect. We got a great overview of the old city and many suggestions of other things to do during our stay.

We really enjoyed our city tour with Luka today. Luka is such a great history teacher. History can be boring if the person teaching it just mentions a bunch of names and dates with no story. Luka was fantastic, he has a special talent for telling the story interestingly, keeps the audience engaged, and tells the stories in a way that you will remember them. Ivana was excellent. She described the history of Zagreb in a concise and interesting way. She was knowledgeable and very approachable if anyone had any questions. There were a couple of hills on the tour, but she made us aware of that right from the beginning and she walked at a comfortable pace.

Wow!! Just WOW!! I would never have learned do much history about Zagreb if I hadn't taken this tour. Kudos to Lucas who was a fantastic guide!! He brought the history to life and even though we had a group of 12, his voice could be heard above the din of the city. Highly recommend this agency. No high pressure sales pitch to sell you other tours, but mentioned the war tour which I would have done if I had more time. Amazing! We did the standard walking tour in the morning with the extroverted Vid. He recommended doing the Croatian War tour in the afternoon and wow 🙌🏽 such a unique experience. I learned so much and the guide Luca, was very well-informed, balanced (as he said it’s from the point of view of a Croatian who was a child during the war, but I didn’t feel any prejudice), and clearly passionate about raising awareness. We went into the bomb shelters, and were quite surprised to see that it’s been re-purposes as an art gallery.
