Just came back from the trip of a lifetime! Ivana, from Private Tours Croatia was extremely attentive to our groups needs, very flexible, found us the most amazing tours within Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik. Fantastic! We had to postpone this trip twice due to COVID, but Ivana was patient, flexible, professional and extremely responsive. The itinerary she put together for us was flawless. Great hotels, excellent guides, professional drivers, and great stop-offs. Everything was of the highest quality and everything proceeded like clockwork. We wouldn't have changed a single item on the itinerary. Her help navigating all the COVID travel requirements was extremely thorough and helpful - she even arranged a rapid test at the hotel the day before our departure. My husband and I just had an AMAZING honeymoon in Croatia! I am so happy we booked through Private Tours Croatia. It was effortless on our part, and every second of our trip exceeded our expectations. Our travel agent, Ivana, was very accommodating to our requests while planning our itinerary, and she always responded to our questions quickly. Our itinerary was a perfect mix of activities to fully experience Croatia. For other trips, we usually take public transportation or rent a car, but we loved having a private driver for this trip. He made the car rides more interesting by telling us about Croatia while we got to enjoy the scenery, and he took us to local spots we would not have known about. Most people in Croatia speak English, but it was nice having a local driver especially crossing border control on our way from Dubrovnik to Split. Plus, it was nice not dealing with a car when we took the ferry to Hvar and after wine tastings. All of the hotels we stayed at had great locations and were clean and comfortable. We even got a refund for the first night we missed due to a 24-hour flight delay caused by severe weather. This refund was not expected and was greatly appreciated as we were very disappointed to have missed a day in Dubrovnik. Private Tours Croatia has amazing customer service, and we highly recommend booking through them!

From the beginning of planning the itinerary, I was extremely satisfied with Private Tours Croatia. Ivana was the sales manager for my trip, and I spoke with her on the phone well in advance so she can get an idea of exactly the vacation I was looking for. She was so accommodating, friendly, and flexible. Communication leading up to the trip was fantastic. Ivana created an amazing itinerary and when I arrived to Croatia everything significantly exceeded my expectations. Every single driver, tour guide, hotel, and excursion was simply incredible. I honestly struggle to think of any negative comment or issue during the entire trip (and I don't say that lightly). The only thing I could think of is the private speedboat was unable to go to the blue/green water caves in Vis, but that was due to the weather. Everyone was so friendly, accommodating, polite, and knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend Private Tours Croatia to anyone wanting to visit the country. It would have been very challenging to put together a fraction of the itinerary and experiences as Ivana did. Everything was simply seamless. I give my highest recommendation.

Our trip, pulled together by Private Tours Croatia was fantastic. We still can't believe how wonderful a time we had. We think we saw it all--cities, countryside, coast, and islands. The agency's suggestions were spot on with every attention to detail you can imagine. All our drivers and guides were incredibly courteous and 10 minutes early! That took a lot of anxiety away from two travelers who had no idea where they were going. The hotels we stayed at were charming and welcoming. We would never have thought of them. We really enjoyed the food tastings that we had--each was tailored to the region where we stayed. We've traveled a lot but never have had this level of service. It was amazing and totally worth it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Private Tours Croatia and working with Ivana to plan our honeymoon in Croatia! High level: strong communication and organization from the team throughout , amazing hotels, incredible off-the-beaten-path experiences, convenient transportation, and just felt safe and relaxed the entire 10-day, 3-city trip! By the end, we felt like total celebrities with how this team plans everything out! The process was so easy to get started (we filled out a form on their website with our ideas and budget) and the communication with Ivana was smooth, informative, and collaborative throughout the months we planned - even with a 6 hour time difference and my MSANY questions. They helped us pivot when we needed to change our budget a bit and the payment plan was easy and convenient (we went wire-transfer through our bank to save on the credit card fees). We got out final itinerary two weeks before our trip and everything was well organized and easy to follow for a smooth, stress free trip! We visited Dubrovnik, Hvar, and Split with private transfers between the cities provided by Private Tours Croatia. Our hotels were all boutique and lovely. We did a private Oyster and Mussel tasting between Dubrovnik and Split, a traditional Dalmatian dinner on a mountain top in Hvar, and an incredible 7-course wine tasting at Bibich winery during our stay in Split - check out the Anthony Bourdain No Reservations Croatia episode for some of the exact places we visited. We had private walking and driving tours in each city which we LOVED because it gave us ideas and places to visit in our free time in each city and we learned so much from our local guides about the rich history of the country. And we did two different private speedboat days to island hop around the many beautiful islands. We felt incredibly spoiled with all of the private accommodations, and it felt great knowing we were within our set budget! This team makes your whole trip feel like a luxury vacation within your means. We want to say thank you again for making our honeymoon unforgettable and blowing our expectations out of the water. From the outstanding hotel accommodations, to the once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences in each city, down to the personally delivered bottle of wine on our last day, the Private Tours Croatia team made us feel so special and taken care of! My husband and I just got back from our trip with Private Tours Croatia and we can not be more happy with our experience. We had a wonderful time! Everything was planned out perfect. The guides and drivers were all polite, knowledgeable and personable… It was like spending time with friends. The accommodations were all great in perfect central locations, walking distance to all attractions. We loved the wine tasing/food pairing in Trogir, where we had beautiful views while being "wined and dined" with a delicious meal and great wine. Another highlight was the private lunch in a village in Hvar with a local family. They brought us in to their home where we enjoyed their company sipping wine while they prepared us Croatian local cuisine. On our way to Dubrovnik we stopped in Ston at oyster and mussels farm, located in Malostonski bay. These oysters won best oysters in the world... they definitely were the best we ever had! We got to enjoy our delicious (plentiful) meal of oysters, mussels, bread Olive oil, grappa and wine on their private island with spectacular views of the bay. It was also a nice surprise to see Ivanna (the agent we were working directly with) when we stepped off the ferry with a bottle of wine in hand just to say hello and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. To sum it up... Private Tours Croatia made our vacation perfect!

From day one, Ivana and Zicasso have been superb in helping our group of 4 retirees create a packed unique itinerary, and then flawlessly execute it, for an amazing, breathtaking, 8 days in Croatia (Split to Hvar to Dubrovnik). The tour guides, car drivers, boat captains, bike and hike leaders they found for us were all lovely and super professional. Even with one snafu (due to our not doing our homework regarding the offerings of one hotel), Ivana and Zicasso quickly and professionally jumped in to save the day. I highly recommend Private Tours Croatia for planning an unforgettable travel experience! Matea was incredibly helpful and responsive during the planning stage as well as throughout the trip. Our itinerary included Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik. The most unique and our favorite experience was truffle hunting. Not only did we get to work with the trained dogs to find truffles for us to dig up, Ivanna cooked and served us an amazing 4-course meal sitting right in the forest. It was wonderful! We also did a "wine and food pairing" at Bibich winery which was out of this world - be sure to come hungry - each course is a small work of art - but after 6 or 7 we lost count and couldn't eat it all. The wine was very good also. We had excellent walking tours in each city with highly experienced and knowledgeable guides who were also fun and great at reading our preference for pace, etc. Croatia is a bucket-list destination and we're so glad we went. The incredible quality and artistry of the food (AND QUANTITY!) was a delightful surprise. Overall, this was one of the best organized and relaxing trips we have taken. I would highly recommend Private Tours Croatia and Matea who overcame every change of schedule we threw at her (and there were many). Every driver and guide was on time and professional. Matea also arranged the required PCR COVID test at our hotel the day before departure. Thank you for everything, Matea!

We just came back from a wonderful trip organized by Private Tours Croatia. Everything from stepping out of the airplane in Dubrovnik to departing from Zagreb were perfectly planned and spaced. They organized for us a trip that included a lot of physical activity like snorkeling, biking, hiking, and kayaking; with tours of the cities and their cultural highlights along with unique experiences like wine tastings to visiting an oyster farm to learn how they grow oysters. Every person that guided us through these experiences were highly educated, had excellent English and provided lots of information and their personal perspectives. We loved everyone of these experiences. The trip involved visiting Dubrovnik, the islands of Vis, Korcula and Hvar, Split and its surroundings, Plitvici National Park and Zagreb. The hotels they selected at each location were perfectly located, clean and beautiful. Transportation from place to place either by car or by ferry were pre-arranged and worked perfectly, the places that they took us for lunches were unique and allowed us to try typical foods from Croatia. In addition, they arranged for us to get the Covid tests before leaving Croatia to come back to the States. We felt that this was a perfect trip and want to thank Private Tours Croatia and their staff for providing such a magnificent experience.

My husband and I selected Croatia as a trip without knowing much about the country. Ivana at Private Tours was a dream to work with throughout the process. We traveled in September 2022 as a family of 4. Myself and my husband along with my parents. From the beginning Antonia was great to work with. I had A LOT of questions and requests and she handled them all wonderfully. We started in Rovinj, headed to Split, Hvar and then Dubrovnik. We also took day trips to Mostar (Bosnia & Herzegovina) and Kotar (Montenegro). Antonia was great at keep us busy (like I asked!) while making sure all the activities fit our groups interests. Truffle hunting, a day swimming/boating in the Adriatic, wine tastings, waterfalls, tours centered around our interests in history, etc. All of our drivers were prompt and polite. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating. All of the hotels Antonia picked for us were fantastic (our personal favorite was Judita Palace in Split!). Antonia came to meet us in person in Split and was only just a call/text/email away before, after and during the trip. She made our Croatia trip one to remember.

My husband and I love to travel and have been to most continents and many countries. The trip that Private tours Croatia did for us in August was absolutely amazing!!! The natural beauty of Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Slovenia surpassed our wildest expectations. Seeing this beauty first hand was matched only by learning about the culture and the history of these countries through our guides and experiences. With hindsight being 20/20, we would look for ways to reduce the amount of time on the road ... perhaps even skip Bosnia (although the learnings were significant) and Montenegro (although the scenery is beautiful) in order to spend more time in Slovenia and Croatia.

Ivana planned an amazing trip for our 25th anniversary. We started in Venice then made our way to Roving, Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik. We broke up the longer transfer days with a stop at Plitvice National Park and Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The drivers and local guides were so kind, knowledgable, informative and helpful! If you haven't been to Croatia, add it to your travel list! Private Tours of Croatia created an amazing trip for me and my husband. Ivana was so easy to work with, attentive to our needs, and quick to respond. Our holiday started in Dubrovnik with a tour of the Old City with a guide who gave us a detailed history of the city walls. After, my husband and I climbed to the top of the walls, which was challenging at our age (mid 50s), but well worth the view of the entire city. From Dubrovnik, we proceeded to Hvar with a stop in Ston for an oyster tasting experience. Hvar is absolutely beautiful and a must-see in Croatia. There, we did a sailing trip of the Paklenki Islands and a wine tasting experience at one of the local wineries. We were supposed to do a tour of the Blue and Green Caves, but unfortunately it was cancelled because of the windy weather. We asked Ivana to arrange a dinner at a family owned restaurant so we could try the native dish Peka, which you need to order 24 hours in advance, and she quickly scheduled that. After 3 days in Hvar, we proceeded to Krk with a stop at Krka waterfalls. We went to Krk because we have a friend who has a home there. It was a great way to end our vacation, visiting with friends and relaxing. All the hotels that Ivana arranged for us were 5 star with beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea. Our drivers were personable and informative. A special shout out to Mario who was our driver from city to city and Anna who was our driver in Hvar. We planned our trip three years ago which was interrupted by Covid. Our host, Ivana at Private Tours, stayed in touch with us during the whole time and worked with us to ensure that our trip was successful. The tour was a wonderful experience that we can highly recommend. We started in Ljubljana, Slovenia and finished in Dubrovnik, Croatia, ten days later. Our drivers the were all local people who knew roads well and their vehicles were top notch Mercedes vans. We were surprised at how good the roads were throughout the country. Our guides at each location were knowledgeable about the area, the history and the people. The history of this area is amazing and deserves much respect for how well this part of the world has endured the march of time. The beauty is unmatched. The landscape is beautiful and the Adriatic Sea is a wonder. Our guides provided details of the historic sites we visited in much detail and answered our questions thoughtfully. The people we met at various locations were all very friendly and their pride in their country was evident. We took away a lot of good information that was shared by our guides, our drivers, our waiters and others at the various locations. The hotels we stayed in were fabulous and each had a charm that was unique. We enjoyed morning breakfast at each hotel which allowed us to get a long ways through the day before we needed to eat again. Many had views of the Adriatic or were located near major attractions we visited. We can highly recommend Private Tours of Croatia for their small size tours(4-6 typically) and their excellent planning and execution of our visit. Any questions or concerns we had were always addressed quickly. If you are even thinking of visiting Croatia, please give Private Tours a call. My son and I did the UNESCO site Croatia tour which was simply amazing. The country is beautiful and everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. Private Tours Croatia was adaptive to our needs during planning, responsive while traveling, on time or early for each drive or tour, and bent over backwards to make sure this was a memorable trip. Trip of a lifetime! From start to finish, our vacation, planned with Antonia’s expert guidance, was an experience we had never imagined possible – mostly because we’ve always planned our own travels. This go-round, to celebrate our 60th birthdays, we decided to let a pro do the work. What a pleasure it was to have a total insider guide us along the way. Antonia considered our travel preferences (budget, hotel caliber, activities, travel tempo) and quickly submitted detailed options. After a review of the proposed itinerary, we submitted changes, asked for restaurant recommendations- so that we could make reservations in advance, if necessary, and within a day we had our revised itinerary. Once in country, we found every moment to be fluid and professional. Our drivers were punctual, easy going and a treasure trove of information (and many laughs!). Each of our transfers evolved without a hitch. What a pleasure it was to not worry about finding cabs, buses, etc to get to our destinations. This was especially key when you’re apt to be a bit travel weary. Our planned excursions included a healthy mix of physical activities (hiking and kayaking), food experiences, a boat tour around the islands near Hvar (Captain Toni was superb!), and historical tours. Tip of the hat to Sikuli Winery’s food and wine pairing experience, Dennis and his daughter Danielle during the oyster farm informational tour and delicious lunch of oysters and mussels pulled right out of the sea, and after one hike on the Island of Hvar, a wonderful traditional stew of lamb and potatoes. Lastly, we did opt to splurge higher on end hotels and they were all on point and luxurious. Each hotel’s staff was professional without being stuffy, truly defining “hospitality.” To note, we found everyone involved with our tour to be generous with their time and knowledge, welcoming, and convivial. Antonia’s team of hotel staff, drivers, and tour guides all were respectful of each other and truly seemed to enjoy working together. All spoke highly of each other with not a negative word. Such joy to see! We would not hesitate to recommend Private Tours Croatia and Antonia to any future traveler to the area.

Like anything else you find randomly on the internet, there is always the question of whether or not it is for real. Private Tours Croatia is very real and very professional. We were fortunate to meet Antonia at our hotel in Split which added a personal unexpected touch. Our trip began in Zagreb followed by 3 day stays in each of Rovinj, Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik. In each place, we had private guided tours of the cities and the surrounding areas. Our tours included a truffle hunt, winery tours, visits to historic mountaintop villages, national parks, an oyster farm, a traditional Croatian cooking class in a private home, and a bicycle tour on the island of Hvar. All of which was planned to perfection including our private transfers to and from our hotels in style. Many of the tours included an excellent lunch after which we found only a light dinner was necessary. In each of our venues, the hotel accommodations were 4 and 5-star, typically located in the historic areas of the cities within walking distance of many restaurants. All the hotels included breakfast and the hotel staff were friendly and attentive to all our needs. Our drivers were always on time, friendly, and professional, and ensured our comfort. The tour guides were all experienced and knowledgeable of the areas they were guiding us through. The people of Croatia are genuinely friendly and welcoming. They are well aware that tourism is the lifeblood of their economy and know how to take care of visitors. Furthermore, English is widely spoken making it very easy to communicate in shops and restaurants. Without reservations of any kind, I wholeheartedly recommend Private Tours Croatia if you are planning a Croatian vacation of a lifetime. They deserve more than 5 stars.
