This local fish market was awesome! The concept was to pick you choice of seafood and either they would fry it or steam it for you. Great concept! K-I-S-S method made good! I had fried red snapper and tiger prawns. They use Louisiana Brand Fry and its delicious... This place will be around and a community staple for quite some time.

I truly love this place. I found it to be most accommodating, friendly, clean and well-stocked. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE! KEEP UP THE GREAT SERVICE.

Best seafood in town! I love their Fried Catfish Fillets and Fried okra! The people who work there are very nice also. One of Vallejo's special culinary spots. It's not a sit down place and I recommend calling your order in advance.

Great & appeasing staff. I never ate fried Basa before. I ordered some, it was done in 15 minutes & it was utterly delicious 😋 Please go by here, & try for yourself. Fresh fish is also there. 👌

I love getting their catfish nuggets, they’re always fried to perfection! They have the absolute freshest seafood in the whole bay area. They carry almost anything you want like Catfish , perch , chicken wings, chicken, crab {already cleaned}, lobster, and more. You can purchase it to take home and cook yourself or whatever you buy they will cook it for you, and unlike most sea food markets the fish is already cleaned cut and ready to go. They sell Alligator and craw fish tails already prepackaged. The store is also full of a variety of seasonings, beans and vegetables . The customer service is awesome too even though a lot of their customers are low income they still treat them with respect and dignity this is not always common when you see businesses that set up shop in communities where some of if not most of the customers will be low income. This store is a real Gem and a real treasure to the community someone brought me to this store over 20 plus years ago and I am still coming to this day. I have moved a little farther away than I used to be but I will still travel sometimes about two hours just to shop here and I hope they continue to be around for many more years to come.

The freshest seafood in Vallejo, guys 10m away from the American canyon and about 35m from Napa Valley. Loved their king Crab, shrimp, fish we got, also very good customer service.

Food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😋. If you have your food cooked there, be specific on how you want it, and you won't be disappointed. You can purchase spices there and have your food cooked with it. I've been going there for over 20 years. The upgrades are nice. The prices have also gone up, but it hasn't kept me from driving over 50 miles now to get it.😆

For years they have been bringing the South to Vallejo California. Anything that you can find in Louisiana from Alligator to Roux.. SOULTRAN'S SEAFOOD definitely has it. Friendly smiling workers and you can tell they love what they do. I recommend SOULTRAN'S to the millionth power.

This was 2 star at best. If i could give 1.5 i would...food was over cooked and not seasoned very well. This is the 1st time that my food wasn't up to par. went yesterday 1/17/23 @ 6pm. so whoever did the cooking didn't so a good job. I have been coming to this place for over 2 years now. a waste of money and a long drive... DO NOT USE THIS SAME COOK... OR LET HIM SEASON THE FOOD...

We've been buying fresh seafood from here for years. Even though it has changed ownership, the supply and service are still great. They also fry your choice of seafood and along with some fries it makes for an awesome lunch! We always get our Gumbo supply from here. Just know that the parking is horrible so you might need to hit the block a few times before you can find a parking space. Oh, and you can also call ahead your order to save time 👍

One stop shop for a vast variety of fish, seafood, and everything for authentic Cajun creole cooking. A Vallejo institution. I drive all the way from Oakland to get their crab, shrimp, sausage, Louisiana blackeye peas, red beans, pralines, dried, bell pepper, dried shrimp and much, much more. You will get everything you need for gumbo, crab, or a fish fry. Highly recommend!

I'll drive from Oakland to Vallejo for some fresh seafood cooked to order 😋 from this market and purchase my Louisiana brand products including some delicious cheesecake, chicken cracklins, oh and the hushpuppies made to order are sooooooo delicious! I'd probably eat here every week if I was closer! Some of the best I've tasted and affordable! The fried crab is fresh and tasty! *This is not a restaurant where you can sit and eat... all to go including a seafood market with other specialty items you can purchase... they don't disappoint! Oh and the French fries!!! Lol, I could go on and on!

Really good fried seafood. I love how fresh the ingredients are and the batter that they use. A must try for those that love fried fish. I had the catfish fillet and fried okra. So addicting. Minus one star for being a bit overpriced. Nice, friendly staff.

This is the spot if you're looking for fried fish. Get a couple lbs of Basa and have them fry it up for you. Make sure to get some of their hot sauce and you'll be hooked. It's in the ghetto and parking sucks but it's worth it.

Very busy environment but the staff was friendly and helpful considering this was our first visit. I tried the Dover sole, small scallops, okra, and hush puppies. You buy they fry, they said 20mins and it was done within 20mins. I took it home and it was wonderful, flavorful, not too greasy at all, my family and I really enjoyed it. This will not be our last visit. Oh, and the price, you get a decent size portion for your money. Warning, parking in the area is CRAZY!

The people who work there are down to earth. And you can also buy some greens for your jumbo the liquor store next door is convenient if you want to get some sodas on the side. Due to my health issue I may not be able to eat like I used to. But it's still a cool place to visit. Maybe someday JJ's can change my mind 🤷🏾‍♀️

I really enjoy their catfish filled. My husband had the fried chicken wings,they were very flavorful. I ordered the hush puppies which were very good,, I wish there were more. We will be back soon
