Nice place but expensive drinks. They do offer a drinks delivery service to save you going to the bar but our drinks turned up warm. Over £12 for 2 warm cans of Budweiser is not what you want for an enjoyable evening out.

Came here to see Shrek The Musical UK Tour while staying in York. The theatre was really nice, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Sound and effects were great, and it's a pretty big theatre. The show was brilliant! Would happily see a show here again!

Beautiful small theatre. A Fairytale in New York brought the spirit of Ireland and Christmas to York. Very talented singers musicians and dancers although sound quality was a little low at times

Nice old fashioned theatre. I was sat in J4 in the stalls and could see the full stage. Ticket advises about limited view but all that is is the handrail of the stairs up to the stage so you won't miss anything really. Main complaint was lack of space whilst waiting for the auditorium to open, got everyone waiting in a fairly small space. It says to arrive 30 minutes before start time so I'd arrive 20 minutes before the start time instead if you hate feeling cramped in. Can also order food to be delivered to your seat either before the show or during the interval. (The show was Tim Vine and in case you're wondering, the picture is a house in Bali/barley)

THE place for panto. Berwick Kaler and his band found a new home across town. The Grand Opera house got a win win here. Top stuff

Lovely Lovely place. Beautiful old building kept in fantastic condition. Worth seeing a show just for the building.

Went to see Anton du Beck and Giovanni Pernice at the Grand Opera House last night. It was, as expected, a fabulous show. It had It all. Dancing, laughter, and singing. Didn't realise that both Anton and Giovanni had such good singing voices. From the moment we sat down to the final curtain, we were thoroughly entertained. A wonderful show. If you get the chance, don't miss it. Photos are from the programme as no cameras were allowed.

A lovely theater with great atmosphere, good views and helpful staff. Main entrance is tight and could do with audiences.being guided away to leave space for people to enter. We have used the ambassador option which is a great way to attend the theater and good value for money providing a relaxed area before and at the interval.

👍👍 Lovely cruise across the city by river. Takes 1 hour. There are tea, coffee and simple snacks on board, as well as a toilet. Beautiful views, recommended. Were sitting inside, as it was very chilly on top! Dress accordingly. Sails off every 40 mins.
