We traveled out of our way to go by and eat here. It was well worth the trip! My husband loved the ribeye and my chicken fried steak was so yummy. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Went to Circa 1880 in Baird yesterday for lunch. We both got the chicken fried steak special and it did not dissapoint. Special comes with the steak, real mashed potatoes, gravy and fried okra. No substitutions allowed. The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, very tender. Okra was well battered and flavorful. Potatoes were a little cool but very good. Sweet tea was perfect and our glasses did not run low even though the place was very busy. Our waitress was running between tables. Two specials, a tea and a soda after tax was just under $32. Definitely will return.

Up dated! The first waitress we had has not been seen 👀 since our first visit. The food alone earns them 5 🌟⭐. The staff working now goes above and works their hinies off! 😁🤣🤣 Our food was fantastic!!! Everything was perfect and I would be giving the restaurant a perfect 5 if not for our waitress!!! My mother raised 3 girls on tips till I was in the 9th grade! I waited on tables!! I expect good service and I tip accordingly!! Always way above the 15% recommended, unless I get this type of service! I did leave a tip!!! I don't feel she earned one!! I do know what it's like to live off them though! We went at 1 on Saturday 8/7/21, they were not busy at all, more then half the table were empty and the bar was completely empty. We received our menus right off, drink and appetizer order taken, came back and then our food orders done. All was good. Hubby's salad came out and she brought him tarter sauce instead of blue cheese plus no eating utensil for anyone. Brought hubby his dressing and a fork. Our appetizer came out. I then asked again for utensil, napkins, small plates and if we could please have more than 1 oz of ranch dressing for a dozen fried pickle spears. There were 4 of us and our gsons eat ranch on everything!!! We set there and set there and set there! I got up went to the bar area asked another waitress if we could please have the needed items. She said she would have our waitress bring them. Well got them about 5 minutes later, guess what the 2 little 1/2 oz cups of ranch she brought us were TARTER SAUCE. Had to go to bar and ask our waitress for RANCH PLEASE and attitude started with eye roll! The pickle spears were cooled off enough to eat by then 😋! We did finally get our ranch when our food got there! Never came back to see if food was OK, never once had a refill on our drinks! and another waitress (wonderful attitude and was so helpful to us) took our used plates and trash. Table was very small and we had no room to eat with all the used stuff there! Our gsons asked for dessert so back to bar I go with our ticket she left with our food!!! I went to front area and let boys pick out what they wanted and the helpful waitress added it to our ticket. We never saw our original waitress after our food was served! Only disappointment about food was the grandkids were so looking forward to the HAND DIPPED FOOT LONG CORN DOGS! and all they received were two commercially produced normal ones! Pickle spears Chicken Fried Steak meal Half ham and cheese w/potato soup Corn dog w/onion rings Corn dog w/french fries 2 cup cakes. Came back today for Hubby's birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊! The food was Fantastic as usual and our waitress Michelle was the best we have had in a very long time! This girl was actually running to get her stuff done. We came at 7pm after our Grandson's football game. They were trying to get the place clean and ready for the next day and serve customers! Great job!! She earned the two stars 🌟 that I didn't award because of the waitress from our first visit!

Great food - more than enough and even took home for later! Service is friendly and if you order the onion rings you get a basketful. Definitely worth stopping by and trying it out!

Me and my wife went here for the first time today because we wanted something different. We only live 45 minutes from here and never knew this gem existed! I ordered the 6 piece fish and 8 piece shrimp with 2 sides for $11.95. my expectations were that the fish would be around 2-3 inches in length, oh boy was I wrong! As you can see in the pictures these fish are huge! The hand rolled cheese sticks are out of this world and about 2 to 3 times bigger than regular cheese sticks and taste so much better! The taste was amazing and real mashed potatoes!! Michelle our waitress was the absolute best waitress we have ever had, extremely friendly, prompt on taking your order, and was running back and forth to take care of all her customers. The restaurant needs to make sure that they show her how much of an asset she is to the place! If you are ever in Baird you need to stop here for sure! I have enough food left over for a day or two!

Visited here for the All you can eat catfish night. I really enjoyed it. The crust on the catfish is a little thick for my taste but it is definitely crunchy and seasoned perfectly. The fish moist and very clean taste with good size pieces. The fries here are not good. They are fresh cut but Soggy,cold and cooked with no crunch or crisp at all. The Cole Slaw was pretty good and the beans were exceptional. The value is very good at 12.99 I think. I’ll definitely be back and give the Onion Rings a shot, I hear they are great.

My family and I went here last night for our first time. Unfortunately they were very low stock on several food items (out of there control) but the server was very apologetic and did what she could to make it right. There was a hiccup after placing our order, but the business made it right. Food was excellent, service was above and beyond. Will definitely be back once the food is restocked 😉

Wonderful atmosphere great service and even better food!!! Had the fish and shrimp!! Amazing!
