I rented a 2BR 2.5 Ba condominium unit at Cook Street Plaza in Barrington, Il while visiting my adult children in the area over the Holidays. The unit is very large and very bright with many windows. Each of the two bedrooms is like a master suite with it's own full bath and large walk-in closet. The full kitchen includes granite countertops, fine cabinetry and stainless appliances and flows nicely into the dining area and living room. A half bath is provided for guests and a full laundry room is provided in it's own enclosure. This unit is located in the historic village of downtown Barrington and is a short walk to shopping, restaurants and the Barrington Train Station to the City of Chgo. The unit was quiet and the management staff was very attentive. This development really enhanced my stay in the NW Suburbs over the Christmas Holiday! I would recommend it to my friends.

Cook Street Plaza is on the corner of Cook Street and Station Roads in downtown Barrington. They have several shopping options and a great coffee shop that is not Starbucks. Situated on the NW corner of Station street and Cook street, a 5 minute walk to the Metra train station, we are setting the standard for downtown living!

A very popular shopping center located in the center. They are popular among people of completely different ages. I think there is not a person for several miles around who has not at least once visited this pleasant place. Therefore, I definitely recommend visiting here and trying the masterpieces of local chefs and assessing the degree of their skill.

I come here to work usually. They have amazing coffee and great breakfast sandwiches. They have CDB pucks along with gluten free options. The staff are very welcoming and often greet people by name.

Would have definitely gone with 5 stars with how I was treated the first day I showed up but that went out the door because of some rude person with a white Porsche giving me attitude because I parked at private parking for THEIR store. He was starring at me for a good bit until I confronted him telling me I can’t park there. I guess because I don’t drive a fancy car, I must be soliciting. He then questions what I’m doing and I tell him in here for Phillips and then grills me more by saying what for. Well, you deal with suits and fine attire, I suppose that. I came early, yeah, but so did he. I guess all in all attitude does go a long way and this guy in his white Porsche destroyed it. Will definitely get his name and contact his boss about how he treats their customers.
