This place existed before on a much smaller land, now they added more area to it , and it was finished with added picnic areas, benches, small amphitheater, seats 100, and kids educational section, opened in March 2021, and it's located from 22nd street to 19 st. (South, North) and from harding street to montgomery st. In National City. The new park is 4 times the size of the old one, with more emphasis on the public park aspects than the wild life educational aspects.

Quiet, isolated, dangerous, ecological nightmare, weeds and reeds over run the entire area. Strange birds, strange rodents, and even strange strangers, no doubt strange fish too. Next to tons of fly by night Mexican semi - repair shops , behind the Mile of Cars Auto Dealerships Emporiums.

I was very disappointed. It really wasn't a park at all. Kids smoking pot under the only make shift pavilion/canopy. The river system under the walkway bridge was very shallow and the only wildlife we saw was a hummingbird and some sparrows.

Beautiful place to see wild marsh life. Floods with king tides or heavy rain.

It's nothing fantastic. But my daughter likes to go there and it's by the house so I take her.
