A well maintained monument dedicated to the freedom movement and the martyrs of the firing at Vidurashwatha during Satyagraha. The monument is set in serene premises with greenery all around. It was nice to spend some time in silence in memory of the martyrs. The 'Veerasoudha' adjacent to the memorial park has the freedom movement depicted in pictures with associated details of each important event printed below. Unfortunately some events have been given wrong information that suits the political agenda of a political party. Nevertheless, it's a good lesson in history for everyone especially children.

This place is called the Jallianwala Bagh of the south. Park is well maintained and they have a play area for children. The museum houses some old photographs of the Indian freedom struggle.

Very nice place. A great history of Indian independence across the states and great Patriots data is available in the museum. Lush green atmosphere with tall trees, good roads. A theatre is built which keeps on showing the history of freedom fight and massacre that occurred in Vidurashwatha acme time in 1930's.

It was too early that I reached here. It is right next to the temple and you can just walk across. Waited till it opened!! The ticket counter does not accept mobile payments - only cash! So be prepared for that. I did enter and walked around the whole place. The person who opens the gallery was late and I did not get to see the insides of it. But did ask around and got the information. There used to be a choultry (marriage hall) here. British soldiers opened fire at a peaceful gathering and killed around 36 people and took the bodies too - only 9 bodies were found and their graves are here. There is a martyrs stone installed at this place. Must visit if you are in this vicinity 😍

This place is known as Veerasoudha means memorial for the martyrs. This is known as Jallianwala bagh of South. So it is said that as there was an unproved firing in Punjab and unfortunately more than 1500 people died, here also unprovoked firing had been opened on the freedom fighters and 32 people died and only 10 out of them are identified. So Gandhi ji told Sardar Patel and to visit this place and pay homage. So they came here. Later in 2014 a memorial has been built. So there is an entry ticket of RS.10 and after entering into the gate one should keep quiet. There are trees all around and after taking a left a structure is there and there is a building where many pictures had been displayed showing our freedom fighters and their struggles. This is a well maintained place and very neat too. One have to leave their footwear outside the place and enter. So go there to know our history of martyrs and pay homage with respect. The this which catched my eyes is a writing saying "We owe you for your sacrifice". So people who visit the viduraswatha temple go there which is just beside the temple.

The jalian wala bhag of Karnataka . Vidhurashwatha where the freedom fighters gave their lives for the freedom of india. Around 96 rounds of bullets fired by the British government on 1938, the sad part of this results thirty two of our heros gave their blood to send British people from our motherland. My blood become heat and felt really hurt. In this place Karnataka Government created veera soudha, to show the freedom struggle with beautiful painting or photo gallery.

A very good place to visit in next Vidurashwata temple. The place has historic connections with Indian freedom struggle. A very nice park, well maintained. The museum is what caught my attention where they have displayed photos and photo story of Indian Freedom struggle. If the river next to the place was maintained by government, it would be paradise.

A memorial for those killed during the British firing on the freedom fighters on April 25 1938. The incident has given the place the name jallianwala of the South. There is a small museum in the park describing the freedom movement and the prominent mile stones in that struggle. The memorial stone is well made and maintained. Look out for the trees filled with bats.
