5 star all round. We came down from Yorkshire for the meal, We WERE NOT disappointed. It is as good as we heard. Nice family atmosphere. Attentive service. Excellent food. Good place for a family celebration. Thanks for a lovely time.

Absolutely fantastic hidden gem! First time dining on Sunday evening, not booked a table and we were very lucky to get a table, after we were seated the place filled up. Such lovely hosts and a really friendly feel, having an olive and bread taster brought to the table and then a shot of limoncello comes with your bill. We had seafood tagliatelle and a calzone (this was huge!!) And followed up with desserts which were delicious! Thank you very much, we will definitely be returning!!

Very tasty authentic Italian restaurant. Wonderful cocktails too. Very friendly greeting on arrival and good quality service with a calm and relaxing ambience.

Found this through Google reviews and it delivered - eating on your own can sometimes be a little ‘boring’ but thoroughly enjoyed my evening, helped in no part to the team whom made great recommendations of the Shiraz, caprese and of course the Principe Romano - very enjoyable

We booked at table at Primo and what a lovely evening we had. The experience from walking in to leaving after our great meal was fantastic. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Everyone in our party enjoyed there meal and it cannot be faulted. We haven't visited primo since before pandemic when we would visit at least once a week.Service is excellent, food lovely and atmosphere relaxing.We booked a meal for myself and my husband for our 50th anniversary which we enjoyed and was given a lovely glass of bubbly after our meal .It is a bit more expensive but for special occasion you don't mind.

We had a wonderful meal last night for our Son’s 16th Birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. We would definitely recommend.

Small and intimate with a great and attentive service. Wine selection is excellent. Sitting there people watching you soon become aware how many regulars they get throughout the very enjoyable evening we had. Great food selection too!

What a brilliant little place. I went on my own. Usually restaurants don’t really like singles, but I was served enthusiastically and the service was great. I wasn’t too sure if I wanted pasta or pizza for mains (I had the Carpaccio for starters, which was fantastic). I ended up with Principe Romano pasta after a brief chat!!! Wasn’t disappointed!! The meal/wine was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.

It was our 1st time at primo and wow we loved it couldn't fault a thing the staff were brilliant the service was excellent as was the food and I loved the shot of lemon cello after our meal 😀 we will definitely be regular customers and we can't wait to try something different each time 😊

We were in Ashton 4 Haydock races. We had previously eaten in another restaurant (which was excellent but had to shut as a result of the effects of the pandemic and rising costs). I trawled the internet and found Primo which had excellent reviews. Having now dined there, I am very happy to confirm that the reviews are accurate. We had an excellent meal,; every constituent of which was cooked excellently and very tasty. Very pleasant service and a cosy atmosphere. Although we live more than 200 distant, we have booked in again where we are in transit in September. A great find!
