    Lodge is located in a lively area, but the service from the place isn't too awesome. Firstly our bed didn't have linen and the mattress was so dirty and very uncomfortable to sleep on. The breakfast didn't have a variety of options and offered very few items. The kitchen staff is great but housekeeping needs so much improvement. The noise levels at this place when there are visitors hosting parties is too much. Parking spots are limited especially when the place is fully booked which is also a huge challenge when staying here.

    The lodge is absolutely amazing! The staff is super friendly, helpful, sincere and accommodating. I took my partner with and decided to propose. The lodge made it so special for us. They decorated the room while we were out, they made special arrangements for us. Prepared a special dinner for us and congratulated us with utmost sincerity. This lodge is wonderful, please don't hesitate to go there. You will enjoy the tranquility, friendliness, activities and wildlife. They honestly deserve a 5 star award. Thanks all for making it a great and remembrance we will never forget. See you guys soon.

    What an amazing lodge. The staff are out of this world. The service is world class. Rooms are beautiful and venue is stunning. Best weekend of my life. They go out of their way in all aspects to provide you with an experience you will not forget. I got engaged here and wow did they make it special. Malibu is one place I will highly recommend to any one who wants to escape the city rush. Round of applause Malibu. You have guests for life!!!

    Worst service ever! I made a booking on their booking system and made full payment same day for me and my husband only to receive an email stating that I short paid due to their booking system not working properly and giving me the incorrect amount paid. They refused to accommodate me event though the mistake was on their side, I then requested a full refund. This was on the 17th of October 2022. I am still waiting for refund. Tebogo is also not responding to my emails nor answering my phone calls!

    I had the worst experience. They have been serving rice and stew for years now can they at least change their menu. Their dinner price is insane for what you will be given. Their breakfast is bad. Can they please stop dishing up for people without asking them what they would prefer. Imagine booking for a spa date prior to the actual day and they keep you waiting on top of that you watch them run around with white sheets while you arranged things on time. The bathtub had black spots yohhh guys it was an unpleasant experience honestly. Ohh and I’m still waiting for my refund since you guys decided to overcharge me for that dinner that my puppy will just stare at. I wonder if that “chef” is legit. If you are thinking of going there now lol good luck.

    Worst accommodation ever. False advertising on their website. DStv = No Wifi = No Air-condition = No (Air-condition is there, but they don’t have remotes and some units not working) No blankets, 1 towel, rude staff, breakfast 4 hours late and not enough for all. Reception stinks, staff uses room bathrooms when guests are out and leaves rooms unlocked

    I am still traumatised and left in complete shock at how utterly disgusting the experience was at this place, I cannot call it a lodge at this point, so I will settle for “this place”. Shared aircon remotes amongst various rooms, dirty bathrooms, coffee station not refreshed from previous guests, bring your own bedding from home because here you will get sheets to sleep under on the coldest nights seen in Pretoria. One hand towel to share with my husband. No DSTV, no Wifi…all lies on their website.The breakfast was almost non existent - if you can call guests fighting over a few slices of brown bread “breakfast” then go for it! No electricity (not because of loadshedding). The staff and the management of this facility raised an important question during my miserable stay there and that was - so what do you want me to do about it??? I’ll leave you with these words…where do I give someone zero stars???

    Very very bad experience. Most of the aircons in the rooms don't blow hot air. The remotes don't work on the aircon also. Didn't receive a tv remote. Food was late and they only brought two plates at a time. For breakfast there was not enough food. The food came out in the form of two pieces of bacon every half hour. No hot wate for coffee. No coffee, tea, sugar or milk in the rooms even after we asked for it. Double booked one of the rooms. Blankets were sparce even with the aircons not working. The manager Lerato only show up at about half past 9. Truly bad experience compared to the price you pay for service that is almost non-existant. Not even talking about the power problems.

    Went there for a friend's birthday on the 8th of Jul 2023. 1.The rooms were not ready when we arrived @ 3pm. They didn't have a heater nor blankets in a room with a tiled floor~ slap bang in the middle of winter 🥶 ❄️, no toilet paper in the rooms,coffee,cattle,cups etc. 2.There's plenty hot water but the shower taps transfer shock 3.The food was atrocious they didn't even have sufficient plates,cups etc. We ended up eating breakfast at Wimpy instead. So we basically paid R1200.00 a night for nonsense(this is me putting it politely).

    please note you will most likely regret booking here.. A few reasons why: - Electrocuted in bath - Some rooms had NO blankets for the winter - Aircon doesn't work - some places smelled like sewage - breakfast (no butter or eggs for toast) - service (you can complain but they wont care) - Most important, very dis-organized with bookings and with the general required necessities. The owner doesn't care either so no use complaining to anyone there....

    We spend weekend 23-25 Sept'23 at the lodge. We were a family of +- 50 persons. Rooms including bedding were excellent and clean. The only serious problem was the water which needs serious attention. Some rooms did not have water to bath or shower and flush toilets. The braai area was clean and we could congregate around it and do our thing. The swimming pool had to be filled whilst we were there, I hope it is now sorted. Manager and staff were excellent. Some rooms need the aircon sorted as well. Overall we were happy.

    my stay at Malibu was nothing short of amazing. the staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure my husband and i had the best of the best , from the superior room, to a surprise lunch for two out on our patio and romantic setup in our room, the staff really outdid themselves. The chef is really good, we thoroughly enjoyed all meals, especially the breakfast. the spa treatment was a first for my husband and he couldn't stop raving about it. Rejoice was my masseuse and she paid careful attention to detail when applying her skills with her healing hands. i would mention them all by name but i am afraid i will leave someone out, everyone was friendly and hard working. Thank you Malibu.

    Yoh! This is the worst experience ever. My sister and I booked for a weekend to celebrate her birthday. On the website they indicated that they have spa, restaurant that offers breakfast to dinner, tv, wifi and fun activities. When we got there on Friday they told us that both DSTV and WIFI are down but to our surprised the dstv was not broken but it was not paid because channel 100 was playing. We decided to sleep in the morning when we woke up the toilet was leaking, ants in the room yoh.. Spa is closed, restaurants is closed. The condition of the pool was a mess. On Saturday morning we were out of there because we were not going to spend another night there..It is sad that we lost our money, if you want to lose your money go there..

    We had an excellent time just make sure all the facilities are in working order my wife couldn't even swim because the specialist took his own time in completing the pools. The staff members Onica and Ruru as well as the security are a bonus for the place. Thanks alot see you very soon again.

    I made a reservation through Lekkeslaap at Malibu clearly stipulating we want to include spa treatments. The lodge cannot do the spa bookings and referred me directly to the spa. The spa does not have email and getting hold of the spa telephonically is difficult. After 3 days, I eventually got hold of the spa, but they cannot confirm treatments or prices for the following month. In the interim, our tentative reservation expired.on Lekkeslaap. So no reservation now and still no info on spa. Very.poor service and commitment and although from the spa, this affects the entire.experience of the lodge

    Beautiful surroundings and nice rooms. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Gave them 3 stars coz the rooms could be a little cleaner. Our couch was stained and so was the bed cover on one side. When we moved the bar fridge to access the plugs the floor behind and under was very dirty. Looks like someone forgot to sweep there. The tub needs a tough up as it was very scratched and dirty so had to use the shower to bath. With those slight improvements I do recommend the place for some time off to relax with nature.

    Called them on a Sunday afternoon to make a same day reservation and phones were not answered - tried 3 different numbers. Thought I would take a chance and stop by there anyway. They were fully booked, so it was a waste of time and fuel. Amid Covid, the struggling hospitality industry does not have the luxury of taking a day off, especially in a modern, busy city like Pretoria.

    Positives: Lovely place with beautiful pool and wildlife roaming. Friendly staff who greeted us with a smile. Negatives:The bed and bedding feels old, we had no cutlery and the internet wasn't working. There's also a stuffy smell in the room and the rooms are not soundproof (we could hear our neighbors voices, TV and bath running) Would I come back again? Yes,this place is perfect for coming in groups or with your extended family. Malibu Country Lodge is beautiful, the owners just need to pay attention to small details and give the rooms the TLC they need to improve the overall customer experience.

    I booked an executive room buy the TV was not working, the wifi password was given to me the next day after i have went abd ask for it but there's load shedding every now and then. There was no glass to to drink with even to rinse our mouths with in the bathroom. So the R900 was just for an ordinary room. 😏🙄

    We booked a room to celebrate our 25th year anniversary celebration after redoing our vows. Tumelo ensured we were given the honeymoon suite and made sure we were given the royal treatment from arrival to departure. Our room was decorated in rose petals with complimentary wine, rose bouquet and chocolates! We loved the room! The dinner prepared was superb! And breakfast the next morning was out of this world! Lovely spa treatments at the spa on site!

    The lodge is so well taken care of. The staff are working hard to give us the best service, very friendly as well. The room are beautiful and spacious. The food they serve is always delicious and well presented. We love it there
