We had a lovely bridal shower at Georges on York. All of the guests were impressed with this venue. The dining room was spacious to set up brunch. In the living room, the piano held the gifts that were then opened by the fireplace, there was even space for a balloon arch. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the patio offered a fresh and private space for the mimosa bar. The innkeepers, Sharon snd Chris, were so incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help make this a perfect event!

My wife and I had a wonderful time this past weekend at Georges on York. Chris and Sharon are wonderful hosts, so lovely and friendly. The house is beautiful with so much character and personality in the decor. It was lovely to wake up to freshly brewed coffee every morning, and the farm-to-table home-cooked breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend coming for a visit. It would also be the perfect place to rent out in full for a large family gathering. Lots of comfortable indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces as well.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Georges on York! The house is beautiful with many comfortable places to relax. There were delicious homemade treats available along with coffee, tea, and, on the cold autumn weekend we stayed, hot apple cider. Breakfast was beyond what we expected and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend staying at this lovely B&B!

I stayed at George’s last month with my best friend and it was a lovely stay. The host were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were cleaned and beds nice and comfortable. I definitely recommend especially if you’re visiting vineyards in the area.

Awesome experience. Great food and hospitality. Beautiful B&B that was very clean and nicely decorated. The outdoor fire pit area was absolutely gorgeous. Chris and Sharon made our 16th wedding anniversary very special. Thank you so very much.

We stayed here because it was close to a wedding reception, if fact it was so close we were able to walk to the event. This is a wonderfully updated historic house. The bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was hearty enough to cover us for lunch. Local ingredients and homemade jellies/sauces. Very romantic!

A beautiful B&B in a small quaint town. My husband and I were in Taneytown for a wedding at the Antrim 1844, which is walking distance. The owners of Georges on York have thought of everything. We loved having drinks and snacks at all hours. Wish we had more time to enjoy the common spaces to play board games or just hang on the patio. We'll have to come back. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast delicious. I'm a wedding planner and I would highly recommend this as a venue for small intimate weddings or events.

We selected this B&B among several others and could not have been happier with the decision. Beautiful rooms with modern bathrooms and A/C units, which were terrific on this hot weekend. A beautiful garden courtyard to relax, snacks and beverages always available, and a wonderful breakfast. The hospitality of our hosts rounded out an enjoyable visit.

Fantastic B&B, amazing hosts/owners. The location was "only" a 4 because it is located near the intersection of what seemed like 2 well traveled state routes, so the truck noise at night can be a bit much. There is a white noise machine in the room. Lighter sleepers may require ear plugs. But do not under any circumstance allow that to keep you from this gem of a B&B. Lots of interesting shops within walking distance.

Sharon and Chris made our stay extremely welcoming and comfortable. My wife and I visited Taneytown for a wedding and we are so happy we chose to stay at George’s on York. The owners just hit their 5 year anniversary of being in business and you can tell why they’ve been so successful - serving their guests is their passion. The rooms are very cozy, yet spacious. The entire home is set up with multiple areas to relax inside or outside. There is a beautiful outdoor area with a fire pit where we enjoyed drinks and company with Sharon, Chris, and other guests. 9am rolled around and the entire house smelled like amazing blueberry French toast with fresh sausage from the butcher next door. We also had enjoyed some cinnamon baked pears and homemade zucchini bread. Very excited to see what’s for breakfast this morning as I finish writing this review. Overall 10/10 recommendation. You will not be disappointed! We will be back soon.

Had a wonderful stay here in October with my wife for our wedding anniversary. The entire house is gorgeous and the room was very comfortable. But the best part of our stay was the breakfast — homemade Eggs Benedict with crab cakes! Amazing!

Best place to stay in Taneytown, MD. Chris and Sharon are the kindest and sincere hosts. The rooms are comfortable, homey, and modern while keeping the old home charm. And the breakfast and coffee are better than anything one can get at a restaurant. We will be back!!

My husband and I love staying at George’s of York whenever we come to town. The proprietors, Chris and Sharon Tillman make your stay, comfortable, welcoming and memorable. In addition to the comfortable rooms, they provide common areas in which to relax and enjoy your stay. The outside courtyard has several seating areas as well which are quite inviting and beautiful. The breakfast is always expertly prepared and delicious. We will be repeat visitors whenever we are in the area.

This is an amazing gem in a beautiful historical setting. The interior is gorgeous, the decor is vibrant and delightful, and the rooms are both comfortable and tastefully furnished. Our generous hosts served us delicious meals and kept us well-supplied with home-baked cookies and muffins. We can't recommend this place enough.
