I loved this place. Searched it on the internet and it was on my bucket list from such a long time and I finally went there. The place is very beautiful and best for the people who loves to read books, from new books to second hand books, from normal second hand books to antique books. Just name it. The place is cosy and best. With monsoon season it became more cosy. The staff is really helpful. People who are looking for antique good old books should go there. A place not to miss. I bought 3 really old books and one of them is an antique book from 1928.

If you want to spend some time away from the sea, I suggest you make way to this gorgeous piece of land. This Portuguese-influenced bungalow sits on a lush property ensconced in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Calangute. More importantly, Literati is a bookstore abundant with an interesting collection of books, old and new. They also house antiquarian books in vintage glass cupboards that is simply soothing to the eyes. If you want to read, you can perch yourself on the comfy couch in the hall and get lost in the world of literature. There is also a cute little cafe outside the house if prefer reading with a cuppa and some sun.

A cozy place having a good collection of books to read and buy. They also have few second hand books to sell. The surrounding is beautiful filled with trees and a lawn. Loved it!

I loved the collection of books here and for sure had to buy one for the memory of Goa. Being a lover of books and coffee this seemed like an ideal place to visit but unfortunately the cafe was shut and one doesn't find that info anywhere unless you reach there and ask them. The bungalow is lovely old one with a porch, garden and more. The nicest bit - they also sell second hand books.

It was my first going here and it was amazing! They've two rooms basically, new books and second hand books. As you enter you'll find all new books in that hall. And i noticed there were all kind of trending and popular books. In second hand section though i did not find A LOT of variety mostly because they've a lot of people coming regularly and may be i just missed them. But compared to blossoms in Bangalore, here i found a lot of underrated books and even Indian authors books. Highly recommend people to give a visit, I'm sure I'll go there every time i visit Goa here after.

They have a good collection of books from all genres. They've both new and old books. Old ones are priced decently at ₹50 each. So, it's a great spot if you want to buy books or spend some quality reading time. It used to be a cafe too but that's not the case anymore. So, if you're going with that expectation, don't!

Its a bookstore in the middle of a graden. Finding it felt like going on a treasure hunt. They have the sweetest, genuinely helpful aunties running the place who actually know all the books they have on the shelves. They have second hand books as well as new copies. There are some Indian authored comic books and poem books that I haven't seen anywhere else.

One of the calm and peaceful place that you can visit in goa to spend some time chilling with your books, it’s a cafe and bookshop. The people running this are sweet and will welcome you with a warm smile. There is a wide range of books you can choose from. There’s also second hand books available on different genres. They have both indoor and outdoor seating for you to enjoy your time there. The cafe menu is minimal but being one of the few bookshop cafes in goa, this place is a must visit.

A lovely bookshop in Calangute Goa set in an old Goan home. They have a great selection of literature for all types of enthusiasts. They also screen old movies and run book launches from time to time. you must check this place out if you're in or around Calangute. The owner is a very lovely person too and the staff are very helpful which adds to the charm of this beautiful bookshop & cafe!

A wonderful place for bibliophiles/bibliophages! Heard of this place when enjoying a casual chat with another book lover at a coffee shop in the neighbourhood. The place is off Jukebox Lane, when going towards Calangute, Jukebox Lane is on the left. It's on the lane that leads to the beach and Elrow Cafe. There's adequate signage to guide you . It's located in a nice, quiet location and gives you the feeling of visiting someone's house because that's what it is. The bookshop/library cum cafe occupies a couple of rooms of the house. You take off your footwear and leave it at the entrance. The main room is where you will find all the new books and the reception desk. There are comfy sofas/lounges and chairs here but you are not allowed to read any of the second hand books in here. These and the antique books kept under lock and key are in the inner room. This room also has a couple of comfortable chairs and a coffee table. There's heaps of books to browse through and choose from, in various categories. The prices for the second hand books are extremely reasonable and there is a catalogue (kept at the desk) with the pricing of the books kept under lock and key. The cafe serves a limited range of items and the lime juice served was just perfect 👌 You are free to sit and read in this room while enjoying your drinks/snacks. The good part is that this place will also buy any old books that you need to offload, including the books purchased from here. If you love books and you are in North Goa, you must visit this place. It's a no brainer! 👍👍👍👍👍

It is a beautiful, quiet gem of a place for bookworms, neatly tucked away in a quaint house at Candolim. The place is inviting for readers with a wide variety of books from all genres, and has a small part dedicated to second-hand books as well. We were slightly disappointed though when the child was told not to 'read' the books in the store but only browse. Who would not want to read in a beautiful setting like that! Hope they come around to accommodate more readers, too.

It's a gem in Goa's literary scene. Fantastic, curated collection of books in a beautiful vintage Goan home , run by the lovely knowledgeable Divya.

Quaint, well stocked bookshop, a book lover's paradise! We spent a good hour there, relaxing and browsing through the surprisingly well chosen collection of books. A nice section for used books too. Highly recommended.

Awesome atmosphere! Very relaxing. Great book selection! Didn't try the Cafe but awesome spot to have a coffee and read a book. Away from the hustle and bustle.

This is a charming bookstore in Calangute. They sell both new and second hand books, so it is definitely worth a stop! Also don't forget to patronize the Cafe in their small garden.

This quiet little place situated in North Goa is a must visit for book-lovers. The cafe is closed for now (Dec - 2020) given the pandemic, but the book shop is open, and they have a great collection. The shop is divided in two parts - one has all the new books, and the other has the second hand books. Both the collections are pretty good, and the second hand books have been maintained and are really cheap! The place has a homely feel to it, and I recommend visiting it when in Goa. (I hope the cafe opens up soon!)

Such a beautiful bookstore in a Portuguese style cottage surrounded with lush garden to sip your coffee and read. They have pre-loved and antique books at such reasonable price, and friendly staff. And yes, they also have a cat to welcome the readers. 😊 If this is not a comfort place, i don't know what is.

The shops seems good and it's in a good condition, I've ordered one book " The psychology of Money " I'm not getting that at evening I go the shops is closed and when I try to call it says busy all the time. Please have a check to recover this problem cause it's very difficult to have a communication.

Calm and peace amidst all the chaos. This is a really nice place to detach yourself from the Goa of parties. Must visit if you are a book lover and looking for something different in Goa apart from beaches.
