I wish I could rate this place with 0 stars. The service is awful, the food is terrible. We ordered 2 cookies, 1 cappuccino, and 1 americano. The coffees were ok but the cookies were absolutely terrible. Can’t even put in words how bad the flavor and the texture were bad, easily the worst cookies we had ever eaten. In fact, I only managed to take a single bite on that. The staff is rude, the waiting time is ridiculous - even to pay we had to wait 10 minutes. We had SEVERAL people arriving after us yet they got the menu first. For some reason, we were just ignored and they handed us no menu until they reminded to ask what our order was gonna be. On the top of that, the prices are ridiculously high for what you get. You really should review those prices because Portuguese wages are still (very) far from Danish wages. The only positive thing about this place is the design and the space itself but I can assure you it’s not worth it.

Stopped by here on Saturday night for a burger. Had the Satan burger which could have been a little spicy for me but was really good. My wife had the cheeseburger Keto style. We also ordered the Mediterranean Salad. This is the first time in Portugal we have found such a great salad. Great vibe and they play vinyl albums all day. Since we live close by we will be back again.

As an American currently living in Europe, BOP Cafe scratched a long standing itch, for a good, beefy, American style smash burger. The double smash burger has a nice crust from the grill, and simply dressed with cheese, ketchup and pickles. The chili was also deeply satisfying, made with not ground beef, but rather pulled pork and brisket. We liked it so much, we went back 2 more times during our 3 day trip to Porto. I guess I should also say something about the full bar and the all American diner decor. We also tried the Oreo chocolate shake which was a bit too watery. But who am I kidding, we only had eyes for the burger and the chili.

Quite a stylish joint but not much else going for it tbh. The chips were barely wafted at the fryer, just soggy potato sticks. The burger was OK but the bacon way nay crispy. Service was...efficient but not exactly friendly. Could be really good because the actual burger patty was good, just everything else let it down. Bad.

The breakfast we had was pretty mediocre. They should consider the following: 1. French toast isn't suppose to be super doughy/undercook inside. Visually it looked fine but when you cut into its just this gooey/doughy raw texture that's unpleasant. Simply Google French Toast to see how it's made or should be like. 2. Bagel was very lightly toasted it got cold quick so the butter doesn't melt well. Give it some chard or something. 3. Fried eggs (sunny-side up) cooked in one pan and then cut to serve. Fry them individually and give let it crisp on the edges. The yolk also wasn't running. 4. Hash browns was so small, oily, and should be more brown and crispy. 5. Asked for bacon and sausage for the breakfast combo but got four sausages instead. Must've been a communication error. 6. I did not even eat the French Toast after taking one bite - no one asked how the food was not offered to fix it. Or removed it from our bill. We paid before we even got our food. Pro-side: the fresh juices were on point!

It is such a shame!!! We were soooo disappointed! My friends and I went to the new renovated BOP Café which opened a couple of days ago. It looks really nice, like a proper American diner, unfortunately, for everybody inexplicably, they changed the menu! Before they had these amazing burgers 'Satan's finest' and 'God Burger' and the fries were incredible. You were not able to find any burgers like this anywhere in Porto and that's why we loved it so much and came for dinner to the new place. We were shocked when we saw the menu. Now they have smashed burgers and you can add ingredients to it, however, the 'smashed patty' just gets burned and you do not get the nice juicy meat in a burger like before, now it's just crunchy, fatty, not even tasting that meaty and burned. The fries compared to the ones they had before are a joke. The fine little fries which you get everywhere else and are nothing special anymore. We were 6 people and everybody was so disappointed that everybody said that they're not coming back anymore unless they change it to the old menu again. Maybe they will read this here, the waitress was very kind and tried her best in helping us pick stuff from the menu and tried to convince us that they just changed it a little and really did her best - kudos for that because we were not easy customers. But yeah, over all: very disappointed and apparently we are not the only people thinking so. We talked to some other friends about the new place and turns out everybody is just sad. It's a shame because they just opened the new place and it's gorgeous, why did they have to change the menu if everybody just loved it?😔

As an American in Portugal, I'm on a quest for tasty, smashed burgers. BOP is legit. Love the Devil burger. Probably the best American style burger I've had in Portugal. Would be completely fantastic if they could somehow source American style crispy bacon. The house made fresh chicken nuggets are also worth noting.... Delicious. Would recommend.

I really wanted to like Bop Café but I wouldn’t recommend it or go back. The positives: the decor was cool, the prices were ok and although my bean burger looked really bad it tasted pretty good. We went to BOP Café three times during our stay in Porto. We came back for the speciality coffee which is the best of Porto (we tried 3 different speciality coffees in the city). The Espresso-Tonic I ordered was exceptionally good (please put it on the menu, people will love it!). The burgers are also very nice. And the atmosphere is super nice, they probably have THE best collection of vinyl and THE best music installation of all the bars and restaurants in Porto. One thing that could be improved is maybe the giant nacho portion for two, which could easily feed 4 people as a main dish! Prices are fairly low (for Porto).

Bop café was my favourite place to get a good burger . Unfortunately, don't think I'll go back there again.

Very good coffee! We loved it so much that we came back twice during our stay in Porto. The Espresso as well as the batch brew tasted great and we could tell that the Baristi knew what they we're doing. We also had Burgers that tastet great and the vegetarian Nachos were also delicious, however the portion size was huge (we were 2 people as it was intended and couldn't finish it). The music collection was impressive and we really enjoyed that it was being played on an actual record player instead of just another spotify playlist.

We came here for the first time last weekend hoping to have some amazing cocktails, which is what they are known for.
