Very bad, I must be the change the cookers, I used to order this soup for my mom, I did order today and this is what she got, couldn’t eat it, the soup doesn’t have any meet at all, instead they put a pice of meet that I don’t know what kind of meat it’s , we can cut it, super hard. The chicharrones were disgusting today. Not fresh and obviously recooked and overcooked . Grease just oozed off the pork. I don’t get it! why serve someone this garbage? I was a regular customer of Macitas US-1 for many years until now. I went with my wife and child to dine in on Saturday night and when we got there, the lady that assign tables did not let us seat at the table that we usually get, instead, she asked us to seat at a very uncomfortable place at the end of the restaurant close to the kitchen because of our baby stroller. We asked her if we could seat at another table close to the music and she said no because the music will disturb our baby. OK, First of all, we as parents decide if the music will disturb our baby of not! Not somebody who don't even know him! 2. We know that place prom way before she worked there and never had a problem on where to seat! 3. That place have lost quality in service and food quality after the pandemic I made my remarks to the Manager and hope that things go back to what it was before. In the mean time I recommend Macitas Kendall, is much better in every way. The service is great and the food much better!

NEVER AGAIN!!! We ordered through UberEats and 2 hours later still no food. When I called the restaurant to cancel, the manager said the restaurant was really busy and our food would be ready within a half an hour. Since it wasn’t ready yet I asked to cancel my order. she did not want to cancel on her end because she would receive a bad review but I kept insisting that I would not accept the food so she confirmed she would cancel. 5 minutes later I get a notification that the Uber driver is on his way. She lied!!!!! I immediately contacted the driver and sent the food back! These people lied just to not get a bad review. Well here is your bad review anyway.

Super disappointed, everybody kept recommending this location. We had carne asada it was bland an oily. The tostones appetizer, it was covered in cheese an duck sauce. Not your Typical Colombian food. Hard pass . Respectfully.

Today was my second time trying this place,..and just like the first time the food was AMAZING! Our server was Indira,..she was very pleasant and was very helpful in helping my wife and I decide what to order. The portions were large enough to share and we even brought food home for later. We love this place,it's definitely one of our favorite places to dine. We're looking forward to going back soon.

The food was good but the service was so BAD!!!! I went here today for brunch and the restaurant wasn’t even full!! My waitress didn’t even us utensils or napkins!! She even forgot our food. Few previous experiences at Macitas, in Cutler Bay, were great, delicious food and good service; it is sadly to say that we did not feel welcome last two times, on our prior visit, we even request to the Manager in Charge if they could change our waitress that day, we then received service from one of its top Waitress, she did a good job. I have been in the Restaurant business for about 18 years, and always my top priority was to make sure our customers were 100 %satisfied. I would like to suggest to the owner to retrain the waitress stuff, they have to understand what great customer service is all about, not only smile to you when we ask for the check; sincere smile, explain the menu what is the special plate, maybe suggest the one they like, I remember I asked the waitress what were the sides that come with the main recipes, so instead of explaining to us , she just pointed with her fingers where the sides were in the menu; they have to understand that tips are based on their service, and treat their customers the way they would like to be treated, make your customers have a pleasant experience and willing to return over and over, create a long term business relationship. I was approached by a manager and she was rushing me because of a rush for lunch they were having on a Saturday. I picked the wrong place to have only empanada and coffee. She was not polite as she remained busy. Other staff were very friendly. Im second guessing in coming back just for coffee and empanada. Guess Ill try a plate. Suggestion business. Terrible place and I’ve given it many chances. Customer service is bad. The food is not authentic, they may have Cuban cooks but definitely not Colombian. I ordered a soup and when I got there to pick it up they told me they ran out. They shouldn’t have taken an order if they weren’t capable of fulfilling it. We came from Atlanta. We come down a few times a year. We barely speak Spanish but they was nice and have English speaking people there. The nervous feeling when lack of communication happens wasn't there. Food was great. Felt warm and cozy before we head to the beach.

The location was really nice however the service was awful. I waited over 15mins for an arepa with cheese and what I got was a cold arepa with a block of cheese on the side. I should of got the hint from the customer that walked out after waiting god knows how long for their food. I ended up eating at a local Wendy’s where the food was cheaper, tasted better and had better service. Sad.

How is it right that you do automatic tipping for a party of two? That is not normal. There was a 15% automatic tip put on our receipt. We were not notified of this and so we tipped an additional 25% . Our server who was not very attentive got a 40% tip. Thats crazy . You should notify guest that tips are already included and not shove the payment device in their face .
