Update: Owner is pretentious & rude but i certain he's oblivious to this fact. Which explains why he has a high turnover staff rate. Kensington Pub in Cleveland Heights used to be my go-to spot until tonight's culmination. It all started over under cooked fries. I voiced my concern, but the owner intervened abruptly, creating tension. His refusal to listen when we declined the fries but offered to pay turned the situation sour. His repetitive use of "ignorant" hit hard, feeling like a racial slur in 2023. The owner's escalation, continuously calling me "ignorant" despite my attempts to explain its impact, was hurtful and disrespectful. This experience tainted my view of a place I once enjoyed. Overpricing and ignoring reasonable requests contradict basic customer service. Blaming me for insufficient tipping and his reliance on customer tips seemed unfair, especially with high price stuff like $10 corn dog, $9 fries or 3 flat chicken tenders for $12. His dismissive and racially charged language made it clear that this place isn't welcoming for people of color. This encounter shattered the good experiences I had here. The decline in customer service, particularly from the owner, has made it impossible to recommend this place. I hope for improvement, but until then, it's not a place I'd suggest for anyone, especially if you're a person of color. Please note: tonight's rudeness and disrespect is not an isolated issue but it is the last.

Best French onion soup I've ever had...The Cod on the other hand was the worst I've ever had. Though generous with the portions, it was like deep fried moosh with way to much breading. Please fix!

Cool place to relax and enjoy great food and atmosphere. Burger, Steak, Hot Stuffed Peppers, and French Onion Soup. Perfect. Our table was very happy. Friendly, helpful staff, with a wide variety of ice cold drinks. Pleasant music in the background with a few games on the TV's. We will definitely return again!

Very, very happy to have The Kensington Pub on Lee. Great selection of draft beers and also bottles and cans. The menu is a perfect mix of pub fare... Good selection, but not too extensive. And the food is high quality and really, really good. Much better than other bars and breweries in Lee. Brad, one of the bartenders, is friendly, attentive, and professional. I look forward to a second (and third) visit!

If you're black DO NOT GO THERE. I've been multiple times now and each now I'm met with a different blatantly racist experience. First was the guest. As the only black person there he picked on me because I chose to wear a mask. But you can't control the crowd so I didn't let it deter me. I came back again and but this time the staff blatantly ignored me. Then when I left, he yelled and called me impatient. No you were just rude and couldn't stop to even say "one moment". Just rude and it's very obvious that if you have melanin you are NOT welcome. Do not be fooled. This is not a very all inclusive place and it gives very much "WE DONT LIKE N words". If you're okay with having to wait for the only person of color to service you when he can, then go. Other than that would not recommend. If you're black you will not be treated up to par!

I used to get burgers here because they are delicious. However, one day I tried the chicken maraslla, and never went back. I also get Brussels sprouts. Together, they make up 2 meals. They will happily box up your leftover and you are good to go.

It was my first time being there so I ordered a corned beef sandwich to go. When I got home I took my first bite and the sandwich was on point. The man that took my order was really nice and so was the bartender. I definitely have to come back for more. Thank you.

Great customer service. Lively on a Wednesday night. Had a Dogfishhead Pumpkin Ale (fantastic) and the Salmon. The salmon was out of this world. Onion strings and sauce on the salmon was really really good.

Was not satisfied. Chicken tenders were over cooked with absolutely no flavor. Corned beef sandwich was kind of decent, meat was way to thick.

Got a reuben sandwich to go and it was just decadent. Thick cut tasty corned beef...NOT deli sliced. The cheese was perfectly gooey too. Have had hundreds of these sandwiches from many places around the Cleveland area and this one topped them all!

The server Jerry is always cool, the food is solid bar food . The older gentleman was not so cool. When we came in the older server (he might be the owner or manager) comes over to us and the menu he had was wet, he balls it up , laughs and throws it at my girlfriend and hits her. She's never been there before and it was our date night. I asked the guy to apologize because frankly I would never ball up anything and throw it at his mom , wife or daughter . He comes back with a backhanded apology where he ends with "if you dont want to eat here go somewhere else". I never said anything to him but asked him to apologize to my girlfriend that's it!! Then maybe 5 minutes after that he comes back and says he wont serve us or help at all and the other bartenders will. Wow.

The 'plus' salad was delicious with walnuts, cranberries, and goat cheese. The filet was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, but just barely warm. The mushrooms had great taste but were a bit rubbery. I still ate every bite just because the flavors were wonderful.

Mushroom Mac and cheese came with a singular mushroom..... Owner was rude the last few times we visited. Used to be great food and great staff, haven't had that same experience in a minute.

My first time being in this place. Had a corn dog that was awesome. The beer the server suggested to me was good. Will be back again soon.

Brad, the owner, rocks. Super friendly and personable. Jules is a great waitress with a stellar memory and works hard. Ricky is great too. Fantastic location. Warm, delicious food. It feels like home.

Great pub with phenomenal food! Bar food with a french twist. The appetizer are good, the Irish whiskey creme brulee is perfect. Everytime I eat there i get the burger au poivre and it's the single best burger i had in the mid west. I can only recommend the Kensington!

This is the quintessential neighborhood pub, so welcoming with a tasty menu -- the steak au poivre is fire. Brad is the best and everybody on the staff is so welcoming and hospitable.

I love the diverse menu and haven't finished working my way through new options while revisiting favorites like the au poivre burger. Always great service and the patio isn't impressive but it's fun to see neighbors and pedestrians along Lee Rd.

Super cozy, friendly spot! Visiting from Atlanta for medical care for my 15 month old daughter and they treated us like they'd known us forever, kept her entertained, and served badass burgers (get the au poivre, simple but PERFECT.) Definitely coming back next time we're in town.

We enjoyed an early dinner at the Kensington pub. Outdoor seating was a little close to the street with a lot of street noises but the service and food was so good as well worth the visit. Husband had a delicious cheeseburger and I enjoyed a well prepared salmon dinner. Would recommend both.
