Been here twice and the service is so good. The food is good and the vibe is chill. I am so happy there is ramen in Kamms now. Can’t wait to go back. 12/23/23 Came tonight for a sushi roll. Not going to lie, one of the best rolls I’ve had in a very long time. Angry dragon. Also got miso and hot sake.

Beef brisket flat bread was our go to for being a bit peckish and in the area looking for mediocre service and a pint of Guinness. The brisket was barely room temperature and was probably due to the freshly diced onions it was thrown on before melting the cheese somehow. The bread was a bit over cooked or stale. The sauce was genuinely delicious if you like A1 steak sauce mixed with liquid smoke and maybe a dash of balsamic vinaigrette rather than an original idea. I understand they're going for a unique clientele, but that's probably reasonably difficult in Kamm's corner, especially when the staff are concerned with each other's drama moreso than the people walking in the door. Just a heads up: water should be served to everyone regardless of request. That's just simple service. This restaurant has great potential, but that obviously implies that it needs some work. This is just one couples take on a restaurant in a fairly upcoming neighborhood as far as food goes. It only takes 1 place to boost businesses around it. Will this be the one? I don't know.... We'll see

This is a hidden gem. So good and yet not crowded. You must give this place a try. We had the hibachi special. Pick your meat, shrimp, chicken or just veggies. You get soup and rice and or noodles. I had the shrimp and my friend had the steak. Both were delicious. Very nicely presented. They also have ramen noodle bowls. We will definitely be back to try more. Help spread the word and help this owner stay in Kamms corner. Beautiful setting for a delicious meal with a full bar. Very reasonable prices.

The food here was great. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen with pork. The pork and flavor of the soup was perfect. The flavor of the ramen noodles themselves were not my favorite, but still perfectly cooked and yummy. Second, I got a mackerel hand rolled sushi and that was DELICIOUS. I can come back here for the sushi alone. 🍣🤤. Next time though, I will have to try the hibachi. The staff was friendly and our food was served very quickly. All around a win win win!

I'm glad Red Lantern has made a come-back in a Japanese cuisine restaurant. Had the hibachi combo of ribeye and scallops. The other dish was meat broth ramen with steak. I am looking forward to trying the sushi combos in the near future.

The sushi, ramen and atmosphere were really good. Glad to have a local Japanese spot we can hang out near Kamms.

The place was empty when we went in and after dining I’m confused as to why they aren’t busier. The service was good. The prices were good. The food was good, but our Ramen bowls were a bit bland. The volcano roll was great. We also ordered jasmine tea.

So disappointed with the service. Our waitress had ear buds in and was texting behind the bar instead of tending to her tables. They are new and short staffed with hiring signs posted but their waitress Rachel could care about the business they are getting. She took our order wrong, didn't bring out soups or salads that were ordered and didn't check back. Will give it another try because it is in our neighborhood and hopefully they get better.

We ate here on Christmas Day. We were mostly satisfied with our meals. I got combo of chicken and tofu hibachi. It was good but not great. Very pleasant, attentive waitress, very pleasant and serene atmosphere. Very reasonably priced for the hibachi.

Red Lantern Japanese Cuisine at 17446 Lorain Avenue in the Kamms Corners shopping center, hits the mark on pretty much everything. I arrived Christmas evening. As depicted in the movie "Christmas Story", asian restaurants are the traditional go-to place for Christmas dinner. Not surprisingly, RLJC was busy. The atmosphere is modern and minimalist with a warm red glow throughout. I appreciated the calm atmosphere that was easy to enjoy a conversation in. You're welcomed by a display of traditional Japanese Kimonos, a fully stocked bar and sushiya. Restaurants are often "dinged" because of poor service. I cannot say enough about the great service I received. I had a waitress and a host who followed up three times to ensure we were completely satisfied. The images are for the Sashimi Deluxe (raw fish) and the House Sushi Dinner - both in the $28.00 range. Both dinners were presented so artfully, I hated to eat it. The sashimi was resting on spinach leaves and ice; the ice keeping the fresh flavor of the raw fish. I half expected my sashimi to jump off the table it was so fresh and delicious. The rolls had satisfying firmness and texture and did not fall apart even with my clumsy mishandling of the chopsticks. I highly recommend you bring the whole family for your next Christmas dinner - or any other special occasion. .

Was excited to try this place but the service was some of the worst I’ve experienced in a long time. Our server was Rachel and it felt like we were inconveniencing her the entire time while dining here to the point where we were just uncomfortable and regretted choosing this place for dinner.

Highly recommend! Great atmosphere, good service, delicious food, and really good prices for sushi and hibachi. Definitely a hidden gem because this place should have a much bigger crowd.

Great brunch, on Saturday!! This restaurant has been updated and has a nice environment. There was plenty of room, the brunch menu had a great variety of food and drinks and there was a bloody Mary bar!. There was great live entertainment too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Enjoy!

A friend of mine told me about this place, so I decided to stop in for lunch today. The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy. Plenty of seating and not arranged to where you're sitting on top of the neighboring table. The food is fantastic! I had the lantern pierogies to start and the lobster macaroni and cheese as my main course. And just like the atmosphere it was comfort food to the max. I enjoyed the service I got. I believe even one of the owners came up and had a quick chat with me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. And I will definitely be going again.

Brunch was amazing with live music. Coffee is horrible but the middle mimosa flight and bloody Mary bar make up for it

Good service and a good Burger. Trendy. Very clean. Lacks something...not really sure what atmosphere they are going for.

Decent spot with good food. This place is busy which is a great sign! They have a daily happy hour so that's an awesome bonus! I got the BLT and it was very good.
