Best sushi bar in town hands down. Every dish tastes fantastic. My mouth is watering just looking at the photos. Now I’m planning when the next time I will be returning

Great bar sushi experience. The Aiko and Handies concepts were great so we expected this one to be as well and it delivered. We got a bunch of things but the sashimi and wagyu toasts were our favorites and the crudo as well. The chicken fat rice was the only miss for us. We’ll definitely be back

A little pricey but was definitely worth it. Not as many choices for sushi rolls. More of an upscale place! I tried several dishes on the menu and was not disappointed. Food is made fresh an right in front of you. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend for sushi lovers

Tucked in a clean and sleek food hall, we decided to stop in for a midweek splurge. We ordered a bit of everything and were very impressed with every bite! The only thing I didn’t really care for was the gyoza, everything else was delicious! You must try the kinoko nigiri and the wag you toast. They were divine! All the ingredients were fresh and so flavorful. Service was also friendly and efficient but we were also the only ones there. Definitely recommend!

Did not know of this gem, hidden amongst other restaurants located within the same vicinity. The atmosphere was similar to one of an open market, however elegant. The menu is easy to read, to pick and choose. We arrived a little before closing time. Bar staff were very friendly and open to cooking my chosen meals for the evening. A little of everything was chosen and savored! Amongst the other restaurant aromas, the flavors could not be masked. The peppers cooked to perfection and not so spicy. The chicken fat rice, as a side was the perfect portion size. The sushi 🍣 😋 superb! **(I do not like sushi! And I tried it, best experience!) Food was readily available and fresh! Staff worked well with one another considering their limited amount of work space too. Restrooms are located in the back of the rental. Overall cleanliness of all staff and Sanitation up to par! Will be returning again, pricing fair for what other locals are doing in the area as well. A great location for a mini getaway with a date♡

Not really a raw fish kinda guy but, the preparation was perfect. Everything was delicious and fresh. Came out quickly and the staff was nice. I approve as a non sushi eater. I prefer cooked but this restaurant gave me a new outlook. Bit pricy tho and worth it

Located in the heart of Downtown Houston. Kokoro is a great option to receive high quality sushi. The photos speak for themselves and all of the dishes I ordered created an unique dining experience. Would highly recommend ordering the A5 Wagyu Toast and Chicken Fat Rice.

Food: 8.9/10 Service: 9/10. Atmosphere: 9/10. Fun, casual setting. My husband was very impressed with this place. It’s located inside a food hall. Really cute. Everything was made fresh. I personally enjoy the spicy tuna maki and their nigiri. Staffs were super nice. Expect to spend like $30-45 per person b/c the portion is small (or maybe it’s just small for me :) ) Overall, I would rate this place 4.5, not my most fav but it definitely deserve a 5 stars. The reason for 4.5 rating is I still feel st missing from the taste, just a personal preference thou.

There are two restaurants that I will say yes to every single time and one of them is Kokoro. We’ve been coming here since we heard Patrick and Daniel were opening up this spot and it seriously never misses. Do yourself a favor and order some fried rice with egg, crudo, nasu (eggplant - you’re gonna have to trust me), Wagyu toast, and literally any piece of nigiri on the menu. If you’ve ever wished for an amazing sushi restaurant that doesn’t leave you still feeling hungry after a meal, look no further. Make sure to sit at the bar, you’ll love the people who work here! And then do yourself another favor and go to Aiko and Handies Douzo.

Definitely one of the best sushi spots in Houston! Always love coming here for tasty nigiri, crudos, and maki. Staff is super nice - Madeline is always attentive and helpful with suggestions! Don’t hesitate trying out Kokoro, nothing comes close except for Aiko (their flagship).

Kokoro is a great place to grab quick but amazingly delicious sushi when downtown. We particularly enjoyed the Wagyu Toast and the torched salmon belly. Our second time there and pleased yet again.

I had an amazing experience at Kokoro. The service was quick, the food was fresh, the staff were friendly. I recommend getting the Taraba, the salmon belly, the wagyu maki, and the maguro crudo. So yummy! I can’t wait to go back!

My friend and I went to Kokoro when visiting Houston for work. We stayed somewhere in walking distance and wanted something delicious and affordable. The food hall has a great vibe that is chill, intimate and is frequented by a diverse crowd. Our favorite dishes were the Karaage, Hamachi Maki and Hotate Serrano. We also ate the Spicy Tuna Maki, Ebi Maki, Wagyu Maki, Shishito and Nassu. Some people next to me got the rice with an egg and that looked delicious!! I would absolutely go back to this spot! Delicious 😋

This is likely the freshest, most amazing sushi I’ve ever had. Stunning. Don’t let its upscale food court location deter you. This place is legit.

Cozy yet lovely seating area. I really enjoyed the small dishes. Ordered the gyozo, shiitake mushrooms, and chicken!
