For the food and the music I gladly give two stars each. Nothing extraordinary, but very solid. For the service, however, I have to deduct some again. 4.5 weeks I traveled through the southwest... I have never experienced such poor service. The main courses came first and with about 10 minutes time difference and the starter came even later. No water on the table and when asked, water was served in paper cups. Too bad, because the restaurant would have a lot of potential.

In summary, the food and wine is very good. Much of the estate wine is premium, but they offer nice other selections like the Stem Head Pinot and the Lagrein. We ordered most of their menu and it was excellent. The flat breads were very well balanced. The sliders decadent but fun and delicious. The Brussels and Octopus are great lighter dishes. Their array of wines don't all pair well with the entire menu ofcourse, it would have been nice if the staff elaborated some of the better pairings. All of the food was very very good. The two quips after trying about 70% of the entire menu is that the lamb was a little under seasoned along with the polenta it's nestled on. A little salt would have really made that dish a lot better. The Mediterranean plate was my favorite. I tried every single red wine they offer + the rose. The Pinots are the safe choices, but the tempernillo and the lagrein are the more rewarding choices. All in all a great place. The staff could use a little training around serving wine as it's a tasting room but a wonderful upscale casual stop nevertheless.

Incredible! Hands down the best Spanish octopus dish (starter) my boyfriend and I have ever tried and I've been in the restaurant industry for 21 years! Tried the flight of 4 different wines of our choice and that paired nicely with the prosciutto and burrata starter dish as well as the mussels in the white sauce! YUM!! The chef even came out to see how everything was going. Cheers and thanks again Orfila for a wonderful experience!

I really enjoyed my experience. Its estate wines are fantastic & what nibbles we had and saw served to other tables, simply devine. I know where we are & that comes at a premium, but I cannot rate this five-star because of its value. That is worth a point to me. Enjoy this experience yourself, but expect to pay a lot for it.

Orfila's Oceanside location never disappoints. The wine is great, the food is wonderful, and the service is always amazing. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and often live music. One of our favorite places in Oceanside.

While on vacation with family, we decided to visit Oceanside. To be honest, I’ll only go back strictly for this restaurant. Over waiter and food were awesome. Our waiter was able to answer all of our questions. He definitely was not lying when he said all the food was amazing. From our different meals, not one was lacking anything. Extremely flavorful, food came out quickly, plentiful, and customer service was superb. Next time I’m in San Diego, I will definitely be coming back.

Chef Luke made this vacation afternoon amazing! Great wine choices and the best Mussels we have ever had. We will make this a regular stop while we are on vacation.

Nice little wine bar deep in the heart of Downtown Oceanside. Indoor and outdoor seating, though the patio is much larger and more popular. Glasses of vino are around $12+. They have a large menu of food. We only tried the fried artichoke, which was very tasty but perhaps a little "too" fried. It was very crispy. Very pleasant staff.

We have now been here to eat 4 times and it gets better each time as we try different items. Nightly entertainment and its outside on the patio, perfect! The service is great by the whole staff, kitchen to servers. This time we tried the mussels and WOW they are absolutey great is taste and the sause is fantistic. The bread they give you is perfect for dipping into the sause and there is no fishy smell or taste, these are fresh? I almost forgot to add how many mussels there were in our bowl, more that 25 so we did get our moneys worth! We also ordered the meat flat bread that was spicy and delicious. We are not wine club members but are treated so well and never ever presurred to join the wine club. This is our favorite date night place to go in Oceanside abd it will not dissapoint

Come here fairly often. Wine and food are excellent. We've tried several desserts and I know that's all personal taste, but my wife and I have felt let down both times on the dessert front, especially for the price. We'll keep coming back for the wine, food and music and save the sweet tooth for elsewhere.

Some of the best food and service we’ve had in all of Oceanside. 10/10 recommend. The muscles, Mediterranean plate and mushroom flatbread were all AMAZING. Thanks Orfila for a perfect date night 🙌🏼

I have been coming to this place since I moved here 3 1/2 years ago. I am also a member of 'OWL'. I try to to come in twice a week for my free glass of wine & Dave is an excellent manager. I feel like I'm walking into 'Cheers' where they know you by name! Fun place to hang out with friends. They have great wines too! The flatbreads are delicious but my favorite is the roasted brussel sprouts! Yum.

This used to be my husband and I’s favorite dinner go-to. I used to always get the shrimp pasta, it was expensive but a large portion, and tasted phenomenal. The owners then changed the recipe so now it’s more tomato like instead of pesto. The portion was also half the size, not enough to fill you up even for almost $30, and I was not a fan of the new recipe. The pretzel bite appetizer is very good, but the price is a little steep, in fact most of the food is actually quite tasty, but portions are very small, usually smaller than you would expect, especially when it comes to appetizers. Great friendly staff and the live music and atmosphere is phenomenal, however I’m not willing to spend big bucks for extremely small portions.

The food, a sea bass special and shrimp with past, were exceptional and the brussel sprouts appetizer was also delicious. Our server, Sydney, was always on top of things. If the weather is accommodating, the outdoor seating takes the experience up a notch. My one complaint after eating there many times, is that the dinner orders seldom come out at the same time. Often, a party of four is not eating together as a few have to wait for their meals to come out. Either the food starts to get cold or friends start dining without the whole party eating. Otherwise, we always enjoy Orfila.

Went here with a large group. Patio was really nice and the staff was contentious in setting up for our visit. However, their dated point of sale system couldn't support individual tickets, so we had to divide our group into sub-groups of 4-5 folks and let each figure out how best to split the check. Also, we generally had to flag down staff for refills, ordering, etc which was irritating especially since they didn't otherwise appear to be very busy. I've waited tables before, so I know large groups can be challenging, but that's no reason to drop the ball on periodic checks to ensure everything is going well. They'd probably would have sold more if they had. That being said, no reason to believe this was the standard for any normal diner with a smaller group.

I am so happy that they opened this location. The place is fantastic and they added to their menu. Just had some Aps. Hummus and fried artichokes. So delicious. I could eat those artichokes all day long!! Their Escondido location is beautiful. It is a must do if you are ever in Escondido.

Excellent service courtesy. Our 1st time there for dessert only and we’re treated with great service. We’re coming back for our next day dinner. They also have live band which is more enjoyable to watch

A perfect spot in Oceanside for great local wine and amazing food. Flatbreads are filling and delicious as well as a slew of great plates to share. Service is what you expect so close to the ocean, chill and friendly.

I want to start by saying I am sad to be writing this bad review, and it is the only bad review I have ever written. I have been a member at Orfila since 2016 and I really enjoyed taking my friends and family to both the Escondido Winery and the Oceanside Tasting Room any chance I got. A few people that I've introduced the place too have since become members as well. I also made friends with past employees. The last few experiences however have left me disappointed, and the most recent experience even embarrassed that I picked this place to take some of my favorite people. We walked in and were given an option of a table or bar, we elected bar to watch some football and socialize. Katherine immediately did NOT like us, and she blatantly ignored us. However a newer employee helped us. Then Katherine whispered something to her, and the newer employee did not return to us, or even make eye contact. Another new employee came by and we asked a question, he was pleasant and engaging, until Katherine talked to him as well, and then nobody else talked to us until they brought our bill. It was obvious we were not welcome there, and I can only make assumptions about why, and they aren't good. I will say the food is fantastic and the wine is good. Pre- COVID this place was incredible and my favorite spot. Since COVID I have been disappointed however I have tried to be understanding. Most of the employees do not know wine, they can't do tastings past 5:00, and when they do tastings they pour all tastings at the same time so they do not educate about the wine or even guide the order. All in all it is no longer a wine tasting experience, just a bar where you can only get wine. If you want to go for rude service but excellent food, it is the place for you!

Usually very very good. Nice menu choices. Flavorful. But on 2 recent trips the are out of items which is disappointing. Burger over done even when sent back…maybe a new cook? Staff is very wonderful and the wines are great. I’m hoping they go back to the 5 star place they were.

Wonderful as always. As cold as it was, we Sat outside. Our table had two patio heaters at different spots near our table & kept us warm. We had a charcuterie tray which was well presented. The 2 flatbreads ordered were yummy, hot & fresh. I was impressed Orfila had Gwertztreminer, my favorite wine....which is rare for anyone to carry.

Orfila in Oceanside is our favorite place to get some wine local. The atmosphere is always amazing. The service and the ppl are always pleasant and so nice. I've always had amazing experiences 😌 And can't forget to tell you how amazing the food taste as well!! Definitely not a disappointment thats for sure.

Terrible wine and super basic food that was overcooked and way too crispy and greasy. They must have a monkey in the kitchen. I'm appalled this place has such high reviews. I guess it just speaks to the type of guests it has. #Basic DO NOT RECOMMEND

Great atmosphere and fantastic food. There is an extensive menu but I would suggest their flatbread, salads and brussel sprouts. Parking is a little tricky but it's well worth the extra trouble! Definitely recommend this place.

Staff is super friendly and entertaining. Food is great, they also got a kids menu. Variety of wines to choose from sweet to hard. They have indoor dining and outdoor too. The outdoor patio looks really nice and decorated. Great place over all to hang out with friends or to bring a date.
