George was our guide and he was amazing! He was super attentive and had tons of personality, which made it fun yet safe! I had to stop a few times since I’m not used to these types of physical activities and George biked back to make sure I was ok and even gave me an electrolyte pack since it was very hot out. I made it to the end and even though I was exhausted and my body hurt, I’m glad I pushed my limits and saw everything I wanted to see and more!

Great! I had a 5 hour tour with Eric and he was great! Being born and bred in LA Eric was very informative and told me all about the history of the city. The front desk and the rest of the staff were very helpful and nice. This was my first time riding a bike in over a year and my first time on a electric bike. We went to Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and other places. It was about 30 miles and I was tired at the end and part of me were soar but I would do it again. I’m even considering purchasing an electric bike from the company. This is a great tour for anyone who wants to see LA and exercise while doing it.

Best bike tour I’ve ever had. Originally I thought that a 6 hour bike tour of LA was going to be too much (I’m 65) but man was I wrong. Our tour guide, Matt, made our tour both fun and interesting at the same time. He took us through places in LA that I’d never be able to see or experience unless I was on a bike. He spaced our stops throughout the tour to share some fun facts about different locations and give us a minute to get off the bike to stretch out a bit (or just hydrate). You can do this tour with a standard bike but I highly recommend you upgrade to an e-bike. The e-bike is easy to use and provides that extra kick that you may need on some of the hills. It’s also a great way to meet new people. We were fortunate enough to ride with Eline and Sarah from Belgium. They are world travelers and it was so good to hear their perspective on not only LA but the USA and several European countries that they have visited. All in all, this tour is 10.

A great way to see all of LA in 6 hours and avoid usual traffic issues! Will have to come back with my next visitors. Harris was an awesome guide: knowledgeable, experienced, caring (carried extra water bottles for the group and made sure we are OK regarding our bodily needs), communicable and friendly. Also, electric bikes are amazing! Need to get one now!

I did the 6-hour LA tour and it was amazing. My tour guide, Erik Hines, was awesome with great stories, local history and fun anecdotes. I did use the e-bike and I never broke a sweat. Do the tour. You won’t regret it 🚴

Such an amazing experience. Booked this tour with our GoCity pass and it was absolute highlight of our trip. Our tour guide (Erick M) was so knowledgeable, charming and caring. He always made sure that we were safe and had enough time to walk around and take photos. We picked regular bikes instead of e-bikes for the extra challenge, but the Beverly Hills turned out to be not that steep. Highly recommended if you want to spend 3 hours exploring LA in a special way.

We had a very nice tour with a great guide called Mickey. We did the LA in 1 day. It was a wonderful experience with a very good guide. It is a quite sporty trip with several steep hills. If you are not a bit fit an e-bike is recommended

We had an absolutely brilliant time on our Hollywood e-bike tour. The service and care before we set off was excellent, the bikes and kit were top notch. Our guide and leader Harris Markson was fantastic, he gave us confidence on the busier roads and was informative and entertaining throughout. Without doubt it was the best part of our trip to LA - thoroughly recommend the company, the tour and everyone involved Thanks for a wonderful time

We loved our tour of Hollywood! Mickey was awesome - very patient and informative. We really got to see the sights better than in car. And loved the electric bikes!

We thoroughly enjoyed our hike to the best views of the Hollywood sign! It was scenic, serene, and just right in terms of effort. Our tour guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable and explained the history of Hollywood and LA in general. I didn’t expect to learn so much, and he told really interesting stories. I would take the tour again if I knew that Matt would be the guide.

Ryan S. did an amazing job! It was our first biking tour experience and we loved it. We especially enjoyed the more person feel of the history of Hollywood.

Highly recommend! This agency knows what it’s doing. they hire tour guides who are exceptional. Noelle, our intrepid leader is a tour guide by day, stand-Up comedian by night. she also knew how to take photos so that we struck all the right poses. Highly highly recommend!

First time in LA gave us an opportunity to see all the major landmark spots in the city including Santa Monica and Venice beach. Ryan, the guide, made sure that we are hanging together and when we stopped to hear his explanation, he started when all 8 of us could hear him. Ryan is a film Graduate so paid a lot of attention to locations were various films were taken. Not familiar with all the actors but nevertheless, was interesting. Would highly recommend to use an electric bike because it is a long ride and very hot.

A few years ago when we visited LA, we opted for the hop on hop off bus tour and left Los Angeles with a negative impression. Today we did the LA in a Day electric bike tour with Christina and had a blast! I’m a 50-something woman in average physical condition, and at the end of the day I was sore, but not terrible, and had so much fun! We saw so many sites we would not have seen on the bus because bikes can go places those big tour buses cannot. Kristina was excellent!

Ryan S was a great guide, taking us on an awesome tour. Took in some proper Hollywood and districts sights. Brilliant bikes, well maintained. Lots to take in but all at a reasonable pace. Recommended.

I did the 5-6 hour electric bike tour on a Saturday morning and it was well worth it! Our guide Mickey took us on a ~100km journey through the bustling streets, iconic landmarks, and hidden gems this city has to offer. Mickey was easy to talk to, kept the tour fun and was knowledgable as he shared many tidbits of historical knowledge of the famous locations we passed by. From the glitz and glamour of Beverly Hills to the laid-back vibes of Santa Monica and Venice Beach, Mickey navigated us through many diverse neighborhoods each with its own distinct character. Biking was overall easy and safe as most routes stuck to bike lanes or quieter streets. Overall great experience.

We had a great tour with guide Noelle, who took us up to a beautiful viewing spot of the Hollywood sign! I’m so glad we decided to book a tour because I would’ve been lost trying to navigate the trail myself! Noelle was excellent with providing interesting history of the city and the sign, along with providing photography services for some great pics! She also provided us with a guide to the city- where to eat, what to see, and what to do! Worth it & will book again when we come back someday with our future children 😊

We booked this tour with the GoCity pass and it would be worth it even if you don’t have the pass. Noelle was our tour guide and she was wonderful as a guide! She was on time, very polite and outgoing, gave us a list of her personal recommendations of things to do and eat in the area, was full of knowledge and took amazing pictures for everyone at the sign! The hike is easy to do but that was thanks to a guide who lead us in the right direction ☺️

This was the highlight of my holiday so far. Ryan O was a great guide and gave us lots of info along the route. Bikes are sturdy and obviously kept in good condition. Easy cycling routes and overall I would recommend this to anyone to do.

So let me say this, Josh and Ahmed were amazing. Ahmed big ups for making sure my little was taken care of when she didn't want to keep walking. Also, for standing in for her when we took a picture by the sign. Josh, you kept us entertained with your knowledge of the area. I appreciate you making this hike great and keeping us motivated to walk in the hot sun.

This review is for the Griffith Observatory Hike, offered by Bikes and Hikes LA Tours. I had a great time doing this walking tour. Our tour guide Mark was very friendly, humorous and knowledgeable. During the hike, Mark broke the trip to multiple sections so everyone can get enough rest to carry on. And at each stop, Mark told us stories about history of LA, of the Griffith Park, story of Mr. Griffith himself, and history of the Hollywood sign. He even showed us newspaper clips to demonstrate the historical events. At scenic spots, he helped taking your pictures for you, when you want to have a self or group portrait. As for the hike, for most healthy people, it should be a moderate hike. The first half was mostly uphill but the trail is easy to deal with. The rest of way is mostly flat or downhill. Highly recommend if you are looking to get some fantastic Birdseye view/photos of LA, the Observatory, and closeup view of the Hollywood sign, or if you simply want to get some serious exercises.

We we had an amazing experience with bikes and hikes, and their LA in a day tour. Our guide Eric was phenomenal very knowledgeable, and the route was amazing. We were paired up with a larger group and it was great. We would’ve never seen all the sites without the tour. There is no question that we will do the tour again when we return. Thank you bikes and hikes and Eric .

We went on the Hollywood sign tour on July 2nd and although the hike was nice and we enjoyed the walk, my husband and I were extremely disappointed by the tour guide. Although we were assured that our needs and wishes would be taken into consideration, we experienced a lack thereof. Katie literally ran ahead of us, we had to walk really fast in order to be able to follow, she did not check if everyone was ready to move on but simply went on. As a logical consequence we did not hear most of the information she shared (a microphone would have been appropriate or a smaller group size). It must be said that bikes and hiked expected more than 30 people for one tour guide. How should everyone be able to hear anything? The thing that bothered us the most was when we reached the photo spot. There, we wanted to take pictures of each other rather than letting the tour guide take photos of us individually. However, Katie said, „this is my photo spot, only I take the pictures and I have been doing this job for 4years.“ We were baffled. Never has a tour guide been that impolite to us. We did NOT feel as if our „wishes and needs“ would be taken into consideration AT ALL. The biggest problem was that after she had taken pics of everyone, we did not get the time to take pictures of Escher since she left right away and up until then the photo spot had been used by her. Katie probably just had a rough day, however, we had craved this moment of taking pics in front of the Hollywood sign for a year and this moment was crushed for us since we felt being treated as kids that were put into their place. A real Karen moment.

This was a great experience, our tour guide Noelle was phenomenal! She kept us as a comfortable pace and even taught us some fun Hollywood history! The hike is very easy and the route is gorgeous, would 100% recommend!!

Great tour - allows you to “dip your toe” into the many different areas of LA : Beverly Hills , Venice beach , Venice canals , Culver City , Beverly wood etc ….our guide Eric was extremely knowledgeable and looked out for our safely first and foremost. For reference …… we traveled approximately 35 miles on electric bikes . I would defiantly recommend this tour.

Amazing tour! Matt was really great and made the hike to the Hollywood sign fun and effortless. I thoroughly enjoyed his stories, including the detailed history of the sign. Who knew that such an iconic symbol started as a cheesy billboard?! I recommend this tour to anyone visiting LA. In addition to enjoying the great outdoors on a hike through a lovely park, you get to see an iconic sight and hear great stories along the way. Book now!!

We did both the Hollywood Sign Hike Tour and the Hollywood Guided Bike Tour. They were both great! Sarah (Sign Tour) and Ahmed told us exciting stories during the tour. Definitely should have done these tours if you are in LA. Thanks ☺️

We took the short tour with Sarah. She was very pleasant and amazing. She stopped a few times for the rest of our party to catch up. She had some neat facts about the sign and about some of the houses in the area. I would definitely recommend the tour.

We did 2 tours and decided to spend the extra $$ for the private tour, it was well worth it! Erik was our guide both days and was very knowledgeable of the area. We opted for the electric bikes and they were great. My bike was glitching out towards the end of one day and they refunded me the difference without me even asking. I don’t think we would’ve seen all that we did in 2 days without this tour. Riding in the streets was awesome and we never felt unsafe. Our guide even gave suggestions for other things later in our vacation.

The tour was great! Our tour guide, Josh, was so knowledgeable and made the tour a fantastic experience. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn about the park and Hollywood. You do need to be in pretty good shape as the hills make for a good hike.

Noelle was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the hike up to the Hollywood sign. She was funny and witty and made the strenuous hike (first-timer here) doable because she made strategic stops to ease the strain along the way. She shared a lot of history about LA with us and I learned things even though I’ve lived here my whole life. I highly recommended this hike and ask for Noelle if you can!! Definitely opt to go all the way to the top….the views were incredible!

  • 5/5 Keri B. 11 months ago on Google
My family had the best time on this hike! Beautiful views , and we got the best pictures taken by our guide Katie- she’s the best! She’s super friendly and very knowledgeable…not to mention a superb photographer! I highly recommend taking this hike.

Went to Hollywood sign tour on 10 November. It's a great experience. Our guide " Noelle" is very good in explaining the history of the Hollywood area and gave us very good information about the area. She took some really good photos patiently. It was a great time with her as a guide. I would totally recommend this agency for any hiking tours near LA.

I only had a few days in LA. I signed up for both the Hollywood Sign Hike with Daryl and the LA in a Day bike tour with Liz. Both Daryl and Liz were excellent guides, each taking time with us to capture the perfect photos and provide some great insights on the history of the city of Los Angeles. I highly recommended both these tours.
