    This petco is the best franchise pet shop on OC, there stores well kept easy to navigate through. Always stocked if there out chances are they'll have it in a couple days. There staffs very helpful, but I do have to say Daniel an perry are the locations A team by far. Knowledgeable professional and can putt the most difficult responses to a question in words that someone as special as me can understand

    I took my dog for a grooming appointment to this location due to our usual location being booked. I was told my dog was banned after he was groomed for being “aggressive”, which is out of character for my pet. When I asked for clarification I did not get a clear answer. I got different versions from an employee and a manager. Since the appointment my dog hides, wakes me up at night, and flinches when anyone moves toward him. I am concerned for my dog and do not know what could have happened to him for this response. They kept insisting I go to the vet “for his safety” and the manager said to put him on medication which I felt was out of her scope of practice since only animal doctors can make that recommendation. I am still processing what happened but felt I needed to write a review to warn others.

    My dog has been getting groomed at petcos since he was a puppy all over California. He is four now and never have I had such a poor experience. First impression, the workers were cold and rude to me and my dog when we showed up. There was no warmth or kindness that was shown to me at all other stores. Then she did not seem to know how to approach an anxious dog. When I picked him up, she said he bit her when she clipped his nails. He has had nothing but stellar report cards from all other salons, petco or not, and never bites people even when they hold his paws. Given how I was treated even while knowing I could not only review, but tip and pay her, I can’t imagine how poor the treatment of my pup was. Definitely won’t be coming here ever again and will probably find a smaller shop I know takes good care of the dogs for the future.

    I don't want to put my pet's name I don't want to name the employee but the only one thing I would like to say is Joey the manager in the grooming section is the best of the best. I went with my pup yesterday. I paid for the package but for some reason the groomer forgot to do certain things. When I contacted Petco they were nice on phone. They connected me to Joey. He gave me an appointment for today I went there. He was very kind and humble. He saw what I was talking about he realized his employees mistake. He even apologized for his employee's mistake and fix it. What more a good manager can do. I bugged in corporate world for almost 18 years and I see Joey is a good manager. He has all the qualities and capabilities whatever is required for this position and any other bigger positions. I really appreciate whatever Joey did for me today because me and my wife decided to avoid Petco next time. But Joey by helping me today and taking care of my pup. Made us a satisfied customer. I I suggest whenever you go to Ball road Petco. You have any questions or any complaints talk to Joy trust me he'll fix it with a smile. Mr Joey keep doing the good work God bless you Thank you very much for today.

    Used a few locations and can tell you this is the best Petco I have been to. From the time I place an online order to the time they inform me the order is ready for pick up - not more than 15 minutes. Never ever have I waited longer. Love the employees. Very well managed location.

    I visited today, Aug 6, not yesterday. The store needs some serious TLC, especially the Men's restroom. I'm willing to bet $50 that sink in there hasn't been cleaned in a month. Somebody might try carrying out the trash at least once a week if not more frequently. Dusting and rearranging shelves and sweeping the floors more than monthly might be advisable, too.

    Store is clean and well stocked. But was surprised that the food I purchased is $2 cheaper at Vons? I would think a store catering to pets only would have better pricing!

    I read Andreas review It saddens me that You're such a petty person to complain about getting nibbles instead of pate.Not a reason to leave a bad.reveiw. Next time go to the store yourself instead of sending someone to do it.

    Hello, it saddens me to write this. My good friend was kind enough to go to the store to pick up cat food for my cat who wasn't eating the options I have at home. The cat is old and very thin so we need her eating. I gave my friend a picture of the food my cat likes and she went to this Petco and they sent her home with food that was all wrong. It was the same brand but that's where the similarities stop. It was Pate instead of pieces in sauce and it was chicken and turkey instead of fish. She went back and asked why she wasn't advised correctly and they gave her lip. She said she doesn't know about cats and didn't know that this would be wrong. Why, if she asked and showed the picture did she get the wrong food. I think that's a very reasonable question. She had the right food this time but also other food. Again. And they didn't talk nicely to her. Is it because she speaks English with an accent? What's the problem here? She goes to ask for help give her help please! Andrea

    ALWAYS LOVE SHOPPING HERE . THIS WAS NEW LOCATION FOR ME. NICE AND BIG WITH MANY THINGS TO SEE. I WENT IN TO EXCHANGE A THUNDERSHIRT. ALSO BOUGHT THE CALMING SPRAY. ONE GOES ON THE BLACK ⚫ CIRCLE . AND THE OTHER YOU CAN SPRAY ON YOUR PET ITS SAFE. USED BOTH FOR YEARS . CASHIERS AND EMPLOYEES ARE VERY KIND.

    Went and bought some bird food. The store is fairly large and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I primarily use this store becuase of convenience but, it does seem a bit pricey. I guess inflation is affecting everything.

    Most everyone working there is kind, but yes as some of the reviews state below, some shelves are empty and unfortunately the cat food my cats eat are not in stock there and haven't been for quite some time. Other than that, I cant complain.

    Joey is the best groomer. Our dogs I’ve him and he does a fabulous job. We love how gentle he is with our dogs.

    Worst Petco I've been to and it's a shame because this is literally 3 minutes from me. The inventory is terrible. I ordered a collar and other items for pick-up and online it says the collar is available in-store for pick-up same-day. Then the confirmation email says it's not in stock in stores. A few days later I'm looking for a different collar online, it says it's in-stock so instead of doing pick-up I just go straight to the store. Now the second collar is NOT in stock in store but the first collar I originally ordered is there sitting on the shelf - 2 of them in stock. They have terrible inventory, the shelves are constantly empty of the varieties of pet clothes/supplies. The online database on in-stock items, I don't know what the heck is wrong with it but it's seems inaccurate a majority of the time. Their food stock is fine but if you're looking for any miscellaneous supplies, you need to go to a bigger Petco or just go to PetSmart.

    The groomer Kara and Joey were awesome! Very informative very satisfied with their customer service. I'm very enthusiastic about coming back. Princess looked amazing when I got her back. Looking forward to lots of grooms in the future.

    This place is great. Always friendly helpful employees. Quite the place to find your pets every need plus! Never too busy or too many people. Great selection of dog clothing!! Even Christmas clothes, all sorts. All sizes!

    Petco's a great place to get your things for your pet. The one in Buena Park strides very hard to make sure that happens. Eric one of the salespersons has a sense of humor that is wonderful. You got to go. This is the place.

    Staff was super nice. Went to the vaccination clinic. Had an appointment and the whole experience took around 10 minutes. Quick in and out. Would recommend.

    Very friendly and helpful workers. Joey G from the grooming has been only but so eager to get my dog's nails grinder working. I didn't know how to assemble the parts from the ANDI and the Dremel I bought last year. I really appreciated the help. This particular PETCO store is very friendly in general.     The manager was so kind to me. When I brought in a kitten to see if she had been micrchiped, he scanned her for me. Unfortunately, she didn't have a chip. So I took her home again. Whenever I visited this store in the past, all of the employees were nice and helpful. Remember, always spay/neuter your pets. This is kind and prevents the suffering of many kittens no one will adopt. The average life of a cat on the streets is only two years. Most get hit by cars. As a society, we can do better for the animals.

    Employees don't care. They act like your bothering them when you ask for help. They are not engaged in their work. They appear bored and don't care about the animals or the store, nor do they know anything about animal care. I only go there because I need a certain product a couple of times a year. I won't go again. I will drive to the Pet smart just to avoid their negative attitude and lack of focus or caring for customers needs.
