They need to hire more cashiers, there were 28 people in front of me in line so I walked out got in my car and ordered it on Amazon, you’re losing business. Btw Amazon was $5 cheaper and will be there tomorrow.

Great location and store, employees are always helpful. May need Security soon, starting to see more homeless in the area. Stronghold Security Agency LLC Is a great recommendation

So I did a curbside order in KATY. The Katy location has Fairfields number on all 4 of their curbside spots. I found this out after waiting 25 mins for my stuff. I called back and Matthew in Customer Service answered. They explained they went out and no one was there. I told him where I was and thats how we found out. I was ticked but not at this location or Matthew. He was super friendly! I provided a picture so your store is also aware and dont think im crazy. I hope yall dont get anymore Katy callers LOL

I went by the store to buy a bicycle today. I arrived there about 11:30 AM. A nice lady said they'd send a representative to talk to me about bicycles. Then later a nice man told me he'd be with me in a few minutes. Then a phone call to the department left me hanging. As I left the store maybe 45 minutes later the guy at the front door told me there wasn't anybody working in the department right then (I guess he meant during lunch). I said hey I wished they'd just told me to go home. No help today.

Stopped in while my wife was at Marshalls. Nice place. The staff were friendly, I found out if you have their card, you get a 10% discount on all purchases, including clearance items.

I had a fantastic experience at the academy. The staff is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and dedicated to ensuring a positive learning environment. The facilities are spotless, creating a clean and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a top-notch educational experience.

A huge store and barely enough cashiers to check out in the front when there are multiple just standing around this holiday and now if you have any returns, you have to stand in the same check out line which defeats the customer service line. Walked in today and walked right out when I saw the line. Nope, too many other stores & online websites to shop at then to be wasting time in long lines that doesn’t seem to be efficient in moving quick.

The service was great. The salesman Glen was/is a jewel. He knows another about guns and was able to help me find the best gun that was/is suitable for me.

30min and no help, wanted to look at some binoculars - I understand kid was with customer, but he could have called do some assistance as the process they were doing was going to take a while. I’ll head to Scheels this weekend

They have stuff and the cashiers are all friendly. If floor staff is to be found, they don't want to help. It's painful to purchase any large or expensive, locked-up item. That being said, it's still the only sports store on my way home and they sell cool stuff. I'll begrudgingly spend thousands more here because I appreciate the selection and convenience.

It is a great place to shop. Today was different, the power off and on the point of sales had to reboot several times and the line was very long. The employees did a great job of taking care of the customer.

I was unfortunate to experienced a power outage at this location. I think that there should be a generator back up at the store to at least get those customers waiting in line out. Perhaps a different plan to resume services when a power outage. We waiting a very long time. I think management should have let the customers know status update on time frame of power restoration and/or at least apologize for the inconvenience to avoid customers getting upset as I was observing while I was in line.

Nice store, generally clean and well stocked. It does seem like every time I go in they are rearranging the store. Another thing that is a bit annoying is the checkout line is always slow. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of employees they just don't have a working system in place to prioritize checkout. Rarely see senior management. These are typical retail issues, it's not a bad location. Corporate management structure and priorities are just not really geared towards customer experience. Despite all the checklist and programs to the contrary, it's just not the true priority.

If I could give this Academy a no stars I would. I am so diassapointed with there customer service and how I was treated today. As soon as I walked this lady that is working the front door I asked her if I could ask her a question and she immedicately said, "Hold on in a harsh mean tone, like she was bothered because I had a question. Then I asked if I had to stand in the regular line for pick up of a package or go straight to customer service and her response was, "Can you read it says customer service pick up so that's where you are supposed to go". I was so shocked that she answer me like that I went to pick up my package and to my great surprise the lady working at the cashier was also rude, she did not great me or say can I help you. I asked if I can pick up my package and she said nothing just scan my phone and told another worker to get my package and asked me to move over so she can attend other customers..WOW.. employees seem very upset to be working at Academy, everyone that I encounter today was extremely rude. Also, the shoe department was a mess, I couldn't even look for shoes because there were shoes all over the floor, garbage and shoes in the wrong boxes. I have no idea who the store manager is, but someone needs to visit this Academy from Corporate and change your employees or your business is not going to improve.

I just walked out of the store after looking for a new pair of Scetchers shoes. This isle is so disorganized that it was very difficult to even find the shoe I was looking for, nevermind the correct size. I'm really disappointed in the lack of organization at this location. Someone from corporate needs to see this.

Great selection, prices reasonable. Store was clean and organized . Helpful staff. Waiting in one line is always a pain though. Slightly understaffed.

The have a good selection of merchandise and reasonable prices, but staff management is lacking. Today there was one active register with a line of five people and I could count about four other employees standing around. They also have some weird policy where an employee has to carry some merchandise to the exit before handing it to the customer, which they did right in the exit doorway with other customers trying to leave. They just need some situational awareness training.

Sold me a bike that malfunctioned only 2 months after purchase. Went to get it swapped and the bike they swapped it with was broken in the first place. But the customer service was great and they fixed everything without question and did it the fastest they could. The bike I got works perfectly now and it's the best bike I've owned at an affordable price.

Recently looked at a specific item in the store and the gentleman that helped me was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Answering all my questions and offering advice so that I could make an informed decision.

Super nice door greeter. At first I thought she was the store manager. She went over and beyond the call of duty. Unfortunately, we left without what we were looking for. 6 months later. The shoe department is an absolute disaster. Nothing is where it should be. This store needs help in a big way.

Do not appreciate being told by an employee at the entrance, “you have 5 mins & make it quick.” Excuse me? This is the most disrespectful way to greet a customer about to spend money , money that will be paying for your paycheck. You must want a new job? Will not shop here again. Owner of this establishment needs to check their employees running off customers.

We found exactly what we were looking for and it was on sale. The lines were very long, but moved surprisingly fast. When trying to find the price of the item we were purchasing, the price checkers all over the store didn't work. There were other items we considered buying, but there were no prices to be found.

I admit that I do a LOT of shopping at Academy. Clothing, Astro's fan gear, fishing equipment, workout stuff and shoes. This awesome location always has a great variety of things that I like. There is a good amount of employees so I always get my questions answered. I'll put it this way, I go in looking for one item and then leave with three or four. Hahaha 🤷‍♂️🤣
