A great place to stop for coffee (the best in the area) or brunch with a fantastic view. Very friendly staff.

We first visited The Kretan Coffee & Sweet Bar just for a coffee, but then they surprised us with a variety of local breakfast choices so we couldn't resist. Thinking it was self service we went straight to the coffee bar and they didn't hesitate to suggest us to sit down and let the waiter take our order. Surprisingly again, apart from the tables inside and right outside the coffee shop, opposite of the road there was a beautiful patio with a wonderful view of Kyperounda village and its nature. They waiter was super friendly and helpful, I wanted a specific kind of pancakes on the menu which they didn't have at that time (it was early midday so that was understandable) and she suggested an alternative. Breakfast was great. Last but not least, they treated us with an orange pie at the end. We will be back soon!

Read a one star review that had a photo of a sandwich, at least that was the description given by the poster. The photo I saw looks more like it was a plate with smoked meats and cheeses. I can only assume the poster arranged the plate that way and posted the pic naming it sandwich.....The Kretan has a moderate size menu regarding food. However, whatever it offers is of excellent quality. Apart from the listed foods, there's option for smoked meats and hard cheese from Crete. Perhaps soon will be listed in the main menu. Great selection of traditional deserts, most of which are homemade. Service is great as it is a pleasure for the owner and staff to serve visitors. Coffees, a large selection that will satisfy coffee experts. Location great and easily accessible. Overall great and value for money experience. Definitely recommended.

Food was far from good. Eggs was way to salted and pancakes was way to sweet. Other problem was, that no one speaks English/German/Italian. Indor ambient is cool. You could chech Creatan toast on photo.

The proprietor was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our dinner, and the view of the valley was fantastic. Also, the orange cake was delicious!

Tasty food and friendly owner and staff. Great spot for a caffeine boost. I also appreciated the Hawaiian flower necklace.

Nothing special for brunch. The menu only offers three choices and some savory pastry. They mixed our order twice and it’s a bit overpriced for what it offers. We only enjoyed the view from the terrace

I completely forgot to take a photo of the beautiful cake they made for my mums birthday with a personal message of Hello 30 which was excellent!! The carrot cake was delicious and is now my favourite. I’ve also been for coffee and tried some of the other cakes and they’re all delicious. Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you again ❤️

Great place for a morning coffee and home made products. Nothing fancy but all local and all made to taste good . Great to sit inside when it's cold and amazing to sit outside when it's sunny and chill . Very friendly owners and great people .
