We travelled from Paphos to see the flamingos and we were not disappointed. Huge bonus having a purpose built viewing platforms to view the stars of the show. Plenty of other water birds too so never boring. Looking forward to going again next year. Don't forget your binoculars and a camera (with a zoom lens preferably). Twitchers paradise 👍

Small but lovely. I went there at sunset and the sky after rain was fantastic! There was stairs to go up and see the lakes and birds. There were some goose at that time some other birds I didnt recognize from afar. I suggset you take binoculars with you as you can not get close to the fenced lake.

A great place to watch flamingos from October to May.

A protected refuge for wildlife the lake is surrounded by wire to fence off unwelcome visitors and at the same time ensure that the bird habitat remains calm and quiet. However visitors can admire the wetland's wildlife since it is rather small and a variety of birds can be seen with naked eyes. Personally I would recommend a pair of binoculars At the lake's corner there is a cafe restaurant where you can sip your coffee and enjoy the surroundings.

Good, but the flamingos are too far away to get a clear view

That's was existing experience.I've seen wild flamingo for the first time of my life!

Great for birdwatching, especially flamingoes. Just note they are migratory birds, can be seen starting from October

Both hides are a bit too far away from the flamingoes to get decent pictures ☹️. Also, the hide near the filling station means that you're shooting into the sun sand only get silhouettes in your pictures ☹️ Cyprus seems to do nature reserves almost as badly as they do historic sites to be honest.

There is so dump birdwatcher.

Getting to the site was A bit stressful as it was close to the Street. The lake itself is small with many Birds so taking binoculars is a must. In The observatoey there are pictures of birds which can be seen at the spot accordingly to the season.

The lake is fenced off which is good for birds. People cannot take a stroll around the lake but it is possible to watch the birds from a raised viewing point.

We were lucky enough to see the flamingo from a view platform. Special respect for the cypriots for fencing of the lake, so the birds are not disturped by people. 🙂
