    Beautiful Orthodox monastery that also gives a beautiful view of the surrounding forest. Reminded me of a simpler version of Meteora. The drive up is quite winding, but walking the premises is very easy. The evening twilight hours are gorgeous with the soft lighting. Lots of cats that are looking for attention as well.

    Wonderful cat rescue centre. 800 cats looked after by volunteers. They do an amazing job. All cats neutered and spayed. Sick cats given all the medication they need. They receive no funding and survive on donations.

    Don't wear your best clothes! The cats love attention and you are the perfect climbing frame. Lovely volunteers happy to chat and obviously care deeply about their cats. And DO leave a donation to help with the cats care.
