Visited at one public event, otherwise it must be nicely quiet and mind relaxing place. Dogs are not allowed. Places with grass, trees and water, worthwhile to stop by.

Better to visit the gardens in summer :-) But in winter the gardens are still beautiful.

Superbly maintained, beautiful and with right sunlight one of best photo opportunities in this part of Czechia.

The monastery gardens lie at the former Piarist monastery, between two Litomyšl churches. Not far from the castle, on a hill above the city. During the recent reconstruction, they were transformed into a representative city garden. The area of today's Monastery gardens belongs historically to the Probošt temple of the Ascension of Sts. The Cross, the Piarist Monastery with the Church The Cross and the August printer. Before the construction of the Baroque Piarist Temple, it was renaissance. The later modifications were baroque, even there was a kitchen and fruit garden.

Nice gardens with coffee to have a rest. Benches included. You can sit on grass. I highly recommend.
