It is amazing. From the quiet of the forests to the babbling mountain streams. From walking trails ending with awesome vistas. Kilometer after kilometer of beauty and tranquility. Quaint family owned pensions or fields where your tent can go. Wonderful Czech cuisine everywhere. Something for everyone.

I visited Sumava for one day hike (cerne jezera, bila strz area). As a nature experience, I must say the place was a disappointment and would not recommend the place for international tourists, at least for hiking. 1) The hiking paths were mainly broad paved roads planned primarily for cyclists. Streams had been channeled to both sides of the road. I would prefer actual footpaths for hiking which would give a more natural untouched experience. 2) There were large areas of dead forests (I found out that they are dead because of bark beetle). They weren't explained in any way. I would have expected some sign posts about them. I would have been interested to hear more. 3) Large areas had been logged and you could hear chain saw in a couple of areas. This doesn't belong to a national park in my mind. The logged trees seemed healthy.

Amazing place with deep green nature 🌱. You can hike or bike the trails. The park is vast and I haven't yet found an official entrance. I just went to Stojek village and took the trails. In the village you can find small shop for basic stuff for your trip.

sumoursky most near lenora is nice to visit with the renovated bunkers (ropik) , nice free museum with nice old soldiers who tell you everything, you can hold some guns and see the bunker inside as it was in war

Wonderful nature park - we hiked the circuit Jezerni potok which is an 8 km trail in Prásily, Plzeñ which is a part of the Sumava National Park. The hike itself was easy, but the snow, ice and even water on the trail made it sometimes quite difficult to continue as it was slippery. Not in the winter season most of the ground should be gravel or small pieces of rock. Good hikes!

What can I say beautiful nature, panoramas and lovely restaurants and pubs in every village. The terrain is not very difficult, perfect for holiday with friends or some hikes for the whole family

Wonderful experience! Tons of hiking trails, small villages and pubs along the way! Just need mother nature to give us a little more rain. Take the time to visit! Much better than using your electronics!

Very nice, bit crowdy in the winter on the red line but still fun to walk ;)

Šumava National Park is a breathtaking destination that offers a unique experience for nature lovers. Beautiful nature. But some very known places are little bit crowded to my taste.

I was a bit disappointed by this park. It is clearly a cutting forest with man planted fir trees. Native beech trees disappeared completely. What makes it worse is that all hiking trails are made of asphalt. It feels more like walking in a city park than in a forest.
