Had food here on Sunday didn’t book table (which I would recommend as so busy) but we were really well greeted and seated either way. our server was Lisa she was really nice and helpful and observed all our needs without us having to ask . 4 dinners 4 lovely sized portions lovely family atmosphere. Will definitely be back .☘️

Found this hotel experience really nice. The hotel itself is a little less modern than I'm used to, so I was worried the rooms wouldn't be up to spec - no, they were perfect! Lovely bath, great TV, comfortable bed, lovely design of room. Staff were helpful and attentive, flowers and atmosphere of place lovely, bar was busy and friendly. Overall a lovely place.

Just wanted to acknowledge & thank all at Whitford House Hotel, Wexford for the wonderful stay we had recently. The Staff were really friendly & clearly enjoyed their work in such a busy environment. Needless to say the food was excellent which is why it was so busy anyway. Will definitely revisit, thank you.

I recently purchased a 2-night stay voucher for Whitford House Hotel through Groupon, thinking it would be a fantastic birthday gift for my wife. Unfortunately, the entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare due to the hotel's misleading information and lackluster customer support. The Groupon deal explicitly states, "Valid 5 days a week, Sunday-Thursday not valid Friday & Saturday check-ins." Seemed straightforward, right? Well, not quite. When I tried to book a Thursday check-in, I was flatly told that it's not allowed. The real kicker is that the hotel doesn't seem to take any responsibility for the confusion. Instead of acknowledging the misleading statement, they stand by it, leaving customers like me frustrated and disappointed. The birthday surprise for my wife has turned into a headache, all thanks to Whitford House Hotel's misleading sale and the subsequent lack of proper customer support. Based on this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone, at least not until they take responsibility for what they advertise. Save yourself the hassle and look for a hotel that stands by its promises and treats its customers with respect. Disappointed,

I was here today, and I can only give praise. The server was nice and friendly, which is always a bonus. I ordered the Spicy chicken wings, with ‘finger licking’ sauce on it. It was BRILLIANT! I ate every single wing and licked them clean too! Perfect combination of spicy and edible too. I cannot praise this meal highly enough. Wipes provided are very helpful also. 5/5 stars!

This is a fabulous hotel. I went for a weekend in September with all my extended family for my mothers 70th birthday -15 adults and 13 children. I cannot commend the staff enough. Their service was amazing. They were so friendly and efficient! Everyone, of every age group, had a ball. The rooms are beautiful, food is delicious (with plenty of vegetarian options) and the leisure centre and playground were great for the children. The pool is huge. A really great experience. Thank you to all the Staff for making my mother's birthday so special!! Grace

Service with smile and a lots of charm is a rarity in hotels these days and it's what sets the place apart. They do everything else right also, hotel is spotless and room decor is impressive. It retains its heritage, for example the little touches like retaining the original furnishings from years past and building a modern hotel around these. Superb place.

Liam the floor manager made fools of us we asked if like to book a table for dinner while we stayed in hotel we booked table for Saturday at 7 o'clock but where hungry and whe in early we told him we table booked for 7 and he said sit at the bar till our table was ready while we're waiting we had a drink and the barman Alex told the best food on the menu and he was very professional and friendly. While we were waiting Liam kept walk past us and was seating people who walk in off the street so we sat there till 7 .15 and decided to leave we got up and noticed several tables empty so we went to the hotel down the road we were seated in 5mins and had a very nice meal.

We went to celebrate a family occasion on Saturday.. I started with Ribs and they fell off the bone the sauce was lovely and tasty.. I chose the Guru burger for my main course presentation was great.. The burger patty itself was ok but I was let down at it being a frozen patty.. it was impossible to keep it all together and needed to use a fork/knife to eat. The chips were cooked perfectly. The mash I ordered on the side was under a heat lamp and slightly dried out… When we were seated and food ordered they left before taking orders for drinks, one child on the table had sensory issues and only wanted a Coca Cola no food. We spent 20 minutes requesting to order drinks to be ordered, when I went to the bar to order I was told “Well send someone down”.. 20 minutes and our starter arrived where we then asked again for drinks, the server insisted she’d get someone and we put our foot down raising our concern. The drinks arrived as we ate our starter.. Another 30 minutes went by with another 3 attempts at ordering drinks before our main course arrived.. both tables next to us were also complaining.. I do understand the restaurant was quiet busy.. But the staff had time for a chat about there nights plans.. when they’d “move” they wouldn’t catch anyones attention to ordering drinks..

We stayed in the Brambles, a house belonging to the hotel. Nice house with modern renovation. All the mod cons. Excellent staff made sure our stay was wonderful. We ate in the hotel on a few evenings of our stay. Excellent service and great quality food. The kids loved the desserts especially the upside down 99s. Thanks for a great stay in Wexford. Its situated just off the N25. It's a great base to explore the local heritage and wonderful beaches in Wexford and Waterford.

Great hotel. Very attentive staff and lovely food. Just one issue with the shower. Extremely hot and unable to cool down. Asked for it to be fixed but didn't make any difference. Also side of bath very high for getting in and out of to use shower. Not great for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise lovely stay!

From the moment you arrive, the Whitford team make you feel like family and no ask or request is too much. Rooms are to a very high standard, breakfast is delicious, and the bar/bistro menu is incredibly varied with a large number of delicious choices. This was our second visit to Whitford House Hotel and we're already looking forward to visiting again.

I don't normally write reviews but this place is most deserving of compliments. We, a family of 4 phoned for a last minute table on a very busy Friday evening. They made every effort to accommodate us. The staff are so friendly and pleasant, and the food was fab. I could not recommend this place high enough!

Was in Whitford for a family dinner on Saturday and have to say it was one of the most outstanding meals I have had in recent years. The food was absolute top-quality, reasonably priced and the hospitality of the staff of the hotel was excellent. Will be back again soon.

Just arrived home from a night away here in the Whitford. This place was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Spotlessly clean and the customer service was out of this world which is very hard to come across now a days! All the staff are a massive credit to you all. A family ran hotel for the past 60years which is amazing. We will be back, thank you

Best fish and chips I've ever had! Every last table was taken on a Sunday evening which speaks for itself. Food still came out withing a perfect amount of time. It does mean booking in advance is for the best to avoid being disappointed.

Excellent hotel with fantastic staff & in easy reach of Wexford town. We stayed here for 1 night. Our room (310) was very big with a most comfortable bed. No separate shower so you have to step into the bath to use the shower. The restaurant was not open when we were there but the bar food was wonderful. I had the feather blade beef which was so tasty. My wife had fish was just as good. Breakfast is served in the restaurant & again the service was flawless. My only gripe would be that you have to go to the coffee machine for your coffee & there was a wee bit of a delay as the chap in front of me was getting 3 flat whites. Reception area is lovely & a nice place to sit back & relax. There is also a beauty salon, pool & gym here but we did not use them. Hotel is just off the Duncan on roundabout so no great scenic views.

We loved our stay here at Whitford House Hotel. The room was spacious, shower had great water pressure and most of all we really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend considering having a meal in the restaurant if you plan to stay, and book a time when you check-in because it got pretty busy once dinner time came around! We had a long busy day of exploring so we didn't do much exploring in Wexford specifically but enjoyed our rest at the hotel.

Hotel was lovely and warm. Staff very nice and helpful. Room was warm and clean. Food service was great and well presented. Staff members that was very helpful was Andrew, Charlie and the reception. The night porters on Wednesday night was great because they saved my partner's life by phoning an ambulance to bring him to the hospital if it wasn't for there quick thinking he would have not made it

We had dinner here this evening after visiting Ballycross farm. We were treated so well by all of the staff and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Kids loved it there and the men serving us were so good to them. We can understand why it was so busy. What a lovely restaurant!! We will definitely be back! 5 stars!

Went out for a bite to eat with my husband to The Whitford. It was lunchtime so it was busy but we had no trouble getting a table. I had the seafood medley and husband had the roast chicken - both dishes came with a side of seasonal vegetables. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The service was very friendly and professional. Definitely worth the visit and we'll be back

Just returned from a 2 night mid-week break in a superior room at this hotel. Upon arrival, we were impressed with the reception staff and the seating area, very inviting and comfortable. We had lunch in the bar/bistro while awaiting our room and were bowled over by how busy the place was. Food was excellent and staff very efficient, so that explains the crowd! Our superior room was large and generously proportioned. The bed was very comfortable and the room facilities were excellent. We visited the leisure centre and were very impressed by the cleanliness and the range of facilities available from the pool to the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi etc. That evening we had dinner in the bistro and the waiter, John, looked after our every need and request and was so obliging, food was great. Highlight was breakfast the following day, after the cold buffet selection, we were treated to waiter service made to order full Irish breakfast, absolutely delicious, great quality ingredients and topped off with great service from the waitress, Aoife. She is a credit to the hotel as are all the staff. The hotel is a little gem in Wexford and a definite return visit is on the cards. (Note to hotel maintenance: the glass topper on the cabinets in the bedroom should have rubber gromit to secure the glass in place. Just a safety suggestion). A great hotel in a great town.

Stopped here before the ferry back home and had a lovely stay. The staff are extremely friendly the bar area is really pretty especially for Christmas and the food was very good. Only slight down side was the breakfast with the sausages and the salmon being a bit low quality. Rooms were very comfortable if a little warm all in all a very enjoyable stay.
