We had 3 meals on 3 separate days and the food was awful. Fish and chips, fish swimming in oil, day 2 roast lamb and mash, the mash was lumpy and dark grey the lamb was tangy. Day 3 penne arrabiati was so peppery it burnt the mouth off me. There was one consolation the soup was good. I felt sorry for the staff they were so nice and very efficient.

Poor is an understatement, as a regular visitor to here through the 12 months of the year today was the final straw the place is in decline, the staff are not competent or trained in any sort of half way decent customer service. Called in for sons birthday to get his favourite meal "chicken wings" at 4.30pm only to be met with a moody manner on the server as we hadn't booked a table then we were bluntly told dinner menu didn't start until 5pm. We asked if she could check for him but she flatly told us the kitchen wouldn't be prepped for dinner service. If the kitchen Is not prepped 30mins before dinner is due to start I'd hate to see how long you'd be waiting on food. We've always found previously that the old staff couldn't do enough for customers but this was way off any customer care I've seen there. I'd definitely recommend to miss this spot until their attitude to customers change. Maybe it will during the winter months when they're looking for customers to call in.

Iv have just left Uptown court establishment, and I have seldom experienced such awful food. Its like as if someone mixed left over chicken and random food put in a slop sauce into microwave, only barley warm.served it up as chicken pie.I actually feel sick,I barley eat it. I had already chosen pork, but sent it back ,as unable to cut it or chew it. Awful . You need to get better quality food, sack the chef , brighten the whole place up. My granddaughter could put up a better meal than this. šŸ˜

We recently had a post funeral meal for over 100 people at the Upton court. They were excellent and took all the stress out of a very stressful situation. Food was tasty and staff were very good. We were very thankful for Graham's professionalism.

Arrived just for breakfast. Full Irish was average, all eggs were solid, and the plate had a lot of oil on it. Asked for white pudding only, plate arrived with black pudding was advised 'the chef doesn't really listen' by the waitress. Breakfast served 9-11:30am.

We arrived yesterday to check in, and only then was I told that the lift was out of order. I specified when booking the room that a lift was needed as my grandmother cannot do the stairs. It was very unprofessional , the staff were not even apologetic and we were then left with nowhere to stay as all rooms were only accessible by stairs.

Had an evening meal here. Food was cold and my wife had to ask for it to be reheated. Vegetables in side dishs were also only luke warm. This is the second time this summer(2022), that we ate there. The years previous were excellent. Staff were also looking every which way, but not in customers direction. We will not be going back untill we hear good reports.

We had meal here on Wed 4/5/22. I'm dairy intolerant and I can't stress enough how great the staff were. Lovely young lady Rio was unbelievable, she couldn't do enough for us and in conjunction with the chef offered me many alternatives to enhance my meal.

I stayed at the upton with my partner and we were deeply disappointed. The rooms were nothing like advertised and we were initially given a room in which the shower was full of mould and the carpets were filthy. We asked for a different room and was given one slightly better but still not overly clean. The mattress felt like sleeping on a rock, the walls are paper thin and so we could hear other guests throughout the night coughing and snoring. The food is decent when you get it: we ordered breakfast but half of it was missing. We also asked if dinner was still being served at 8:30 as the website says service until 9pm but were told no the kitchen was closed and yet food was coming out until 9:15. Would not recommend

The absolute worst hotel stay I've ever experienced. Firstly - no issue with the staff, the receptionist and the cleaner who was present at checkout the next day were very pleasant. However, the rooms are grotty and dirty from age and wear. Stained shredded worn carpet with big wrinkles in it. Rock hard beds. Mould specks on fittings, stained and marked furniture. Fusty smelling rooms and corridors. Filthy windows. The towels were clean and the cleaning had been carried out, it's the actual room that is the issue. Certainly nothing appealing about the decor either. The consumables are mounted in unmarked plastic push dispensers like hand sanitizer, a hostel would do better. I chose not eat in the hotel as a result and also because I was told there was a 'kids crazy evening' event being held there. I was also informed that breakfast was served from 9am, meaning that there was no option for me to avail of it as I had to check out earlier. This would have been enough to ensure that the ā‚¬140/night booking on a Monday(!) was a complete rip off...alas, it does not end there. The kids crazy event went on until about 10.30pm, at which point you could hear the crowd leaving, but not all the kids left. Whatever children were left resident either in the hotel or adjacent holiday cottages proceeded to run laps of the hotel grounds, stairwell and corridors, battering the doors down at roughly 20min intervals until 2am in the morning, screaming, laughing and playing airhorn blasts and insane music. Calls to the desk did nothing. You'd have a better night's sleep in a cell.

Stayed here for a few days in summer, the rooms were OK, the beds and mattresses were awful. Bed base was broken, mattresses was flat and lumpy. The breakfast they served us was so bad we had to leave and find somewhere else to eat. We had a family dinner planned we could not rearrange, they assured us the chef would be there for dinner service but the food was terrible. And the service was worse. I tried talking to the manager and he listed his work experience to me and didn't actually respond to any of my complaints. Such a shame as the location of the hotel is great.

Visited Sean ogs on a quiet Sunday in January. The food was absolutely atrocious. We got the chicken pasta. Which I can only describe as canned chicken chopped up and mixed in with the sauce. The chicken tasted like Frankfurt sausages and with the exact same texture! 100% not a chicken fillet. The prices match any other restaurant which is ridiculous and it absolutely does not meet with the standards of other restaurants. The staff on arrival where stand offish and rude throughout our meal. Hands down probably one of the worst meals I've had out to date. Would not recommend under any circumstance

I arranged the Killenagh Wanderers Football Club 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance in September 2023. We had 120 attendees and everyone had a great time. The food was gorgeous and Graham and all his staff looked after us fantastically. Highly recommend for large functions

This hotel is a hidden gem , yes off the beaten track, but offers and experience the so called big guys could only wish for.we just had our civil ceremony there so from our first meeting with Graham until we checked out they listened, advised and delivered beyond our expectations, nothing was to much and the team there were honest and sincere and helpful , from putting our personal touch in place , to the bar staff , breakfast team and the team the servered the meal , the quality of the food in the bar , freshly cooked breakfast and the wedding meal was perfection!! You all help make the our day , the day we will remember for the rest of time . Thank you Upton Court Hotel .

Very disappointing meal. The menu looked very appealing but did not live up to expectations. Food was dry and burnt and presentation was poor. Will not be returning

We just went for a meal here after arriving in Kilmuckridge on a Friday evening. Menu looked fine and appetising alas it was a fairy tale. I ordered pasta which was supposed to have bacon and chicken in a pesto sauce. No chicken, no pesto and no flavour. Fish and steakhouse chips, one burnt piece of fried chips with frozen chips. Cajun chicken burger, semi grilled chicken with no flavour. For the pleasure of eating these tasteless meals we paid nearly ā‚¬50. Oh, and we were subjected to children having tantrums and screaming in the background. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE. Faired much better on the Saturday night with a great pizza deal from the village outdoor eating place. šŸ˜‹

Rooms not as advertised. Rooms outdated, mouldy showers. Paper thin walls. Tried to order food at 8.20pm to be told the kitchen was closed only for them to still be bringing food out of the kitchen at 9.15pm. Only asked for wings and chips. Breakfast was ok. Pancakes were frozen and reheated. Gave feedback on check out, but staff didn't really seem to care. Worked in hospitality all my life and never been anywhere like it. Needs serious updating.

Our wedding day at Wells House in Wexford was an absolute fairytale come to life! From the moment we arrived at the enchanting estate, we knew we had chosen the perfect venue for our special day. The stunning beauty of Wells House truly captivated us. The majestic mansion nestled amidst lush, manicured gardens and ancient woodlands created a picturesque backdrop that took our breath away. From the very beginning, the staff at Wells House made us feel like royalty. They were incredibly attentive, warm, and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process. The event coordinators, in particular, were absolute gems. They listened to our every wish and worked tirelessly to ensure that our vision for the day was brought to life flawlessly. On the day of our wedding, the magic continued. The attention to detail was impeccable, and every element was beautifully arranged. The ceremony space was a fairytale dream, and the reception hall was transformed into an elegant and inviting space where our guests were pampered and made to feel right at home. The culinary delights served at our reception were simply divine. The carefully crafted menu impressed even the most discerning palates. From the exquisite appetizers to the delectable main course and the mouthwatering desserts, every bite was a culinary journey that our guests thoroughly enjoyed. The accommodations provided by Wells House were equally exceptional. The charming guest rooms added to the overall ambiance of the venue. Our guests were delighted to have the option to stay on-site and enjoy the full experience of Wells House. Cliona and I are incredibly grateful to the entire team at Wells House for making our wedding day so magical and unforgettable. Our hearts are filled with joy, and we are still receiving compliments from our guests about the fairytale experience they had at Wells House. If you're looking for a wedding venue that will transport you and your guests to a world of wonder, Wells House in Wexford is the perfect choice. We wholeheartedly recommend this enchanting estate to any couple seeking an unforgettable wedding experience. Masterful Wedding Coordinator - Graham

No problem with staff but food was absolutely appalling. Can safely say was the worst food I was ever served up. Beef was gone off and the chicken flew through the pasta bake. Chicken gougons were shocking slimy in the middle. Will definitely never ever return.
