Heart of Old Town of Warsaw! It’s impossible to skip that place during your visit to Warsaw! Nice piece of history! Very nice and photogenic. There are a lot of people there all the time, so it’s better to wake up earlier to get better shots!

A great plaza to visit and walk. Located at the center of the old town. There are amazing historic buildings all around it. Visiting Warsaw and not going there would be a waste!

Great meeting point. Lots of interesting buildings around the column. Great for touristy photos. And seems to be a mish-mash of cultures or things to do (markets, horse carriage rides, road train rides etc).

One of the primary landmarks/ monuments in Old Town Warsaw Poland, built in 1644, Sigismund’s Column is apparently the oldest secular monument in the form of a column, in modern history. It commemorates King Sigismund III Vasa, who in 1596 had moved Poland's capital from Kraków to Warsaw. A “must” on any travelers itinerary to town.

It's a really nice column because it's in the heart of the old town, next to the palace and several attractions.

A really cool column and statue that stands out from a long distance away. A good meeting point when in the centre and there is always a lively atmosphere around the column.

We weren’t sure what this column signified or what it is supposed to represent. However, there are a lot of people in this area. This is also possibly because the days we came here (we visited twice), there was a Pokemon Go Fest so there were more people here than usual. It is a good reference point when trying to orient yourself and to see where you need to be going.

A journey into an elegant historical era. Always worth a visit for the many sights I've been to wander through the Old Town a couple more times since my first visit in 2015, and it always lures me back. It's a vibrant place with a rich atmosphere. You can find new sights and sounds aplenty, or once again appreciate the old favourites. The churches dotted around the square are breathtaking, the old buildings possess fine architecture and colour, the choices of food at all the cafes, the gift shops - they liven up and lend character and a lived-in feeling to the city. Places that suit almost any taste can be found here. This Old Town and square are not as large as the one in Krakow, but it is more charming, being cosier and more intimate. Nightlife is bright and colourful, accommodation is within easy reach and lots to photograph that holds artistic and historical interest can be found here. I'll be back, and hope to have many more good experiences and great photographs to remember them by.

This magnificent monument, featuring King Sigismund III atop a towering Doric column, exudes an air of grandeur. Located in the heart of the city, it serves as a focal point for both locals and visitors. A visit to this iconic landmark offers a chance to immerse oneself in the rich heritage of Poland and witness a piece of history that has withstood the test of time.

A beautifully re-created monument, feels like it has been there for centuries even though it is relatively new.

One of the classic destinations in Warsaw. Coming to the old town and witnessing the nice atmosphere. You see the monument of Sigismund III Vasa which was one of the kings of Poland. What makes him special(therefore having the statue there) is that he decided to move the capital of the Poland from Kraków to Warsaw. Yes, it used to be Kraków in the past.

A new years eve by the Sigismund coloumn! Whoa! The Polish people are raving mad for a party, with champagne popping and people uplifted. The mood was electric and I was carries away myself suddenly losing track of my people! This need be experienced only. On a normal day the coloumn is worth a photo anyway, and it is a national landmark for the Polish symbolizing important historic events. Go ask a local, they’re quite eager to tell.

Nice scenery very busy. Shame they host the megaphone KKK meeting megaphone ranting politics to brainwash the kids. Very alienating to tourists, can't always count on them not understanding. The flashing po vans surrounding an extra nice touch. You do you eh but it tarnishes the landmark to us.

A very nice and cool plaza for a meeting point and surrounded by great restaurants nearby too. Located nearby the old town area and the castle. It’s a must visit place while in Warsaw. It seems that the place is even nice during Christmas and New Year. Just chilling here and take some cool photos would be nice. Recommended!
