I
recently
stayed
at
Hotel
Albela
House
in
McLeod
Ganj
a
month
but
left
before
our
tenure
was
up.
My
overall
experience
was
okay,
there
were
some
aspects
that
left
me
feeling
a
bit
disappointed.
summary
Pros:
The
rooms
and
bathrooms
are
very
clean
There
is
parking
available
Washing
machine
is
available
at
no
cost
Proximity
to
main
market
The
staff
behavior
is
good.
Cons:
The
building
looks
a
little
old
and
situated
in
a
congested
area.
But
tricky
to
locate
the
place
with
google
map.
The
surroundings
are
not
well-maintained
Gaps
in
windows
and
doors
cause
low
temperatures
inside,
making
it
unsuitable
for
winter
stays
The
kitchen
was
not
functional
as
advertised,
making
it
difficult
for
people
who
prefer
cooking
their
own
food
The
balcony
ceiling
was
leaking
and
there
were
splits
in
the
walls,
making
the
stay
uncomfortable
during
rainy
days.
The
hotel
is
located
in
a
congested
area,
but
fortunately,
they
do
have
parking
available.
The
building
itself
looks
a
little
old,
but
the
rooms
and
bathrooms
were
very
clean.
However,
the
hotel
doesn't
maintain
its
surroundings
very
well.
The
kitchen
was
not
functional
as
advertised.
They
provided
only
a
half-liter
cooker,
a
tea
pan,
and
two
plates
and
glasses,
which
was
difficult
for
us
as
we
are
used
to
cooking
our
own
food.
However,
it
may
not
be
a
big
deal
for
normal
people.
The
washing
machine
was
available
at
no
cost.
During
our
off-season
visit
in
February,
we
were
given
a
third-floor
suite
with
a
kitchen.
While
the
room
was
nice,
I
would
caution
against
staying
here
during
the
winter
months.
There
were
so
many
gaps
in
the
windows
and
doors
that
the
temperature
inside
was
significantly
lower
also
the
floor
was
tiled
that
made
it
worse.
Even
though
we
were
in
high
altitude
Manali
during
the
peak
of
winter,
we
never
felt
as
cold
as
we
did
at
Albela
House.
When
it
rained
during
our
stay,
it
was
absolutely
horrible.
The
wind
blew
through
the
gaps
in
the
windows
and
doors,
making
us
freeze
inside.
Even
with
all
our
winter
clothes
on,
we
felt
really
cold.
The
ceiling
in
the
balcony
was
leaking,
and
there
were
several
cracks
in
the
walls.
Therefore,
we
wouldn't
recommend
this
hotel
unless
you're
visiting
during
sunny
summer
days.
Overall,
while
the
rooms
and
bathrooms
were
clean,
the
lack
of
proper
insulation
and
maintenance
of
the
property
made
it
difficult
to
recommend
Hotel
Albela
House
during
other
season
but
for
sunny
days
its
an
okay
option.
