We really liked An Bang beach! Easy to get to by bike from Hoi An. We parked our bike under a shaded lot for 10,000dong per person, so no need to lock! We walked straight onto the beach and were quickly urged to sit in one of the lounge chairs. It seems like locals have claimed certain seats and all want you to sit in their area. They said we could stay there as long as we buy one cocktail, for about 100,000dong. Probably a rip but cheap enough for us so we paid and had a nice shaded place to put our stuff. They watched our belongings when we got in the water and made sure everything was safe. Plenty of options up and down the beach with similar arrangements. When we were finished, behind the first row of restaurants there’s a place to wash up and change. There’s lots of restaurant options for eating and drinking nearby.

Beautiful beach and white sands. It's very chilly to spend a relaxing afternoon on this beach. There are many visitors but it's not overly crowded. There are also many restaurants along the beach and the food is delicious too.

a bit wavy, good for surfing beginners but not good for swimming. surf boards available for rental. lots of restaurants by the beach and they usually provide free sunbeds and beach umbrellas for diners.

A really nice beach. Can't believe how warm the water is. Plenty of places to buy food and drink from aswell. If you want an ice cream walk down the road about 3 minutes and you'll come to a proper ice cream shop that does waffle cones for 20k and 2 scoops of a flavour for another 20k. Much better than 30k ice cream on the beach front. Note the picture is already half eaten :) Sunbeds are available, but you are better off buying a cocktail and getting the sunbed for nothing 👍

An Bang Beach in Hoi An, Vietnam, is renowned for its serene atmosphere, golden sands, and clear waters. Visitors appreciate the laid-back vibe, local seafood restaurants, and the opportunity to escape the crowds. It's a picturesque destination for relaxation, with stunning sunsets and a genuine Vietnamese coastal experience.

Loved the surrounding village with quaint restaurants and walkways, however, the beach itself is heartbreaking. It is overladen with trash, not just a Litte, but mounds and mounds of trash. Sad to see dead fish and a dead dolphin on the beach. This trash is not necessarily caused by the lovely folks who live here, but a result of the worlds overconsumption and worldwide pollution. We need to use less!

An easy trip from Hoi An and nice beach, places to eat, swimming and generally pleasant place for an afternoon of chilling out. Although we had to push my wife in a wheel chair following her breaking an ankle. So maybe not much swimming for her.

It is a nice beach but with a fair bit going on. You can relax in a deck chair, hire a boogie board, get food or a drink. The beach is good rather than great but is long and clean. It was a good relaxing experience to explore and good for people watching too. Worth a visit if in Hoi An

I really like this beach because it’s quite long and if you go to the very end of it, it’s quiet and calm. We bought some food from one of the stalls and stayed on their beach chairs for the whole day. It was about $2 to stay there. I would definitely recommend, although the best time to go during the hot season is around 4pm because that’s when the sun is starting to set and the temperature is just right.

Beautiful An Bang Beach, and clean. Waves are pretty strong but ok, good for surfing miniboard. Miniboard rental is available on the beach with 300,000vnd/1 hour. There are a few local restaurants located on the path to the beach, good food and reasonable price. There are sunbathing chairs on the beach but you need to pay a rental of about 50,000vnd - 70,000vnd/1 chair/2-3 hours, but if you order food or a few drinks per 1 person, you can you the chair for free. Take care of your belongings while swimming. Remember to check with the local sellers about the chair deals to avoid misunderstandings. If you have the chairs, you can also use their toilets which is closeby. Seafood is very good there. Other food is ok. There are shops for you to buy swimming costumes, balls, hats. There's even an outdoor mini gym with cement weights, good to try. If you wanna leave, make sure you deal with the local drivers standing around or book a grab.

Lovely beach if you are Hoi An and a great bike ride. Walk along the beach for a great long time. Agree to get some food along the way. Great views over to mountains but mostly just the lovely beach. We went on a very windy day but still such a lovely walk and ride there

Still one of the great Vietnamese beaches to visit, although it does have its touristy element with vendors and a multitude of restaurants. At the right time it's damn near paradise and the sea is clear compared to others. If you thought Da Nang was too busy, Check out this beach.

Destroyed by storms! The beach is in a very sad state. Repeated storms have caused massive erosion of the beach and incredible damage to the facilities. We were there in early Jan 2023. Felt rather depressing to see the beach in such a sad state. If you want to go, be prepared to feel sad.

It is a public beach, no need to pay to come to this beach. Before you enter the beach, its surrounded by good street food (rice paper grilled-banh trang nuong coconut pancake, each 20k vnd). You also can buy fruit from local people, each 20k vdn. The wave was very nice for playing with the water and white sand was clean. Nice weather and nice view. You have to try to come and enjoyyy your day in this beach 😊

Awesome beach with kilometers of sand. Perfect for the sunrise because of facing East but also worth for sunset. The location being close to Hoi An and with parking for bikes is perfect too.

Nice beach. Much nicer near An Bang than further down (towards the right. Opposite direction from DaNang). That area is quieter, but has a lot of garbage. Was nice to have some relaxing beach time without having to travel all the way to Phu Quoc.

The place is so beautiful. The beach is clean and the water is blue. You can lie down on the chairs and watch the sea or go and take a dip in the water. We stayed back to watch the sunset and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever witnessed. The sky turned into beautiful colours 🥹 you can find many cafés near this beach so make sure you check them out. Don’t miss this beach on your trip to Hoi An. 🌷

Great beach. You can go several meters into the water standing. Sometimes the waves can be a bit rough but usually you can swim pretty easy. If you want to avoid larger crowds of people you can just walk down the beach and find a good place for yourself.

My favorite beach in Central Vietnam 🇻🇳 Hang out on the beach with your towel or get beach loungers from one of the many restaurants and bars along the beach. Water is clear, clean and pretty warm for March/April. Only gets warmer, will soon be like bath water! Pop off the sand to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a fresh coconut or some drinks and live music on some nights. Great spot!

Nice beach with many cool restaurants and bars. There are plenty of places to checkout, people watching, and more. Cheap food and drinks on the beach from local vendors or go to one of thr many restaurants that have proper seating with an amazing view looking over the beach.

Nice beach with free scooter parking at the entrance, be careful of those ladies in straw hats trying to wave you down to park in their cafes. The restaurant owners will try to charge you $50k vnd to use the beach chairs however the beach is very nice with plenty of shops and stalls around.

A Tranquil Oasis by the Sea An Bang Beach in Hoi An is a hidden gem that captivates with its natural beauty and tranquility. The best time to visit is during the early morning or late afternoon, when the sun paints the sky in hues of orange and pink, casting a magical glow over the pristine sand. The beauty of the beach is complemented by the enchanting basket boat rides, providing a unique and immersive experience. Glide through the calm waters and witness the picturesque scenery that surrounds you. Indulge in fresh seafood at the beachside eateries, where the catch of the day is expertly prepared. Don't miss the chance to savor traditional Vietnamese dishes, adding a delicious touch to your beach day. Parking is conveniently available near the beach, ensuring easy access for visitors. The local vendors are friendly and eager to share insights about the area, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Great location to visit now, because it looks like it could get swollowed up by high rise development in the next decade. Currently small rustic restaurants and cafes right on the waterfront and plenty of hostel/ homestays to stay at. Stayed 6 days all up, and would definitely stay again, if it doesn't get over developed.

An Bang Beach is a very quiet and relaxing beach. There's not really that much to do, but relax and chill! Some restaurants and bars nearby. Hoi An Downtown is circa. 20 minutes away by taxi! Good for a nice sunny afternoon when it's too hot to shop for clothes or souvenirs!

Nice beach, good spot to relax on a sunny day, a lot of coffee shops and bars and restaurants around the beach.

  • 4/5 Tomasz T. 4 months ago on Google
Cannot compare to other beaches sine it's the only we visited but it has everything you need. Easy access from town (cycle distance), super soft sand that is all the way from shore to the water, no water shoes needed to entry the sea. Water in December was cold but swimmable (which is nice for this season :)). Weaves are quite high, which can make it to the surfers but not much for the swimmers. It's rather sunbath than swimming place, however you can get wet without any risky situations :)

A little bit dirty, probably because of stro g waves and wind. Nevertheless, we enjoyed walking on it - long, interesting views, many restaurants and bars to grab a coffee, beer and relax, while listening to sounds of the sea. At the end, local gym:) there is a parking you have to pay at the entrance but you dont have to use it. We arrived by a bicycle and left it a bit further

The beach is not very clean. You see plastic & garbage everywhere. Always crowdy. High tides at times. Restaurants & Cafe are good. Motorbike parking costs 10000VND. You can do surfings & even rent boards.

A great place to relax on a Sunday. Arrived here around 9.30am and stayed until 4.30pm. due to Covid-19 there was hardly anyone on the beach and we felt like the only foreigners. However, we chatted to the ladies selling their wares and they were just beautiful souls, each of them had their own personal struggles during this trying time, so we bought some things from them to support them and their families. Beach was perfect for swimming, and whilst there were waves they weren't big dumping ones, which was good. Highly recommend this beach as a safe beach to swim. We hired two lines chairs under the bamboo umbrellas for 100,000vnd. There was no time limit on them. Around 4.30pm the beach got busy with the local people coming down to eat and have fun on the beach.

Loooooooong stretch of beach! An Bang is packed after 4pm, please make sure to clean up after yourselves! The beach is too pretty to ruin. Great view of the Cham islands on clear days.

My wife, Michelle and I were enjoying a daytime at this private beach called An Bang Beach on Feb. 13th, 2020. Our resort where we had stayed offered the free shuttle into this beach about 10 to 15 minutes away. It’s very peaceful spot to enjoy the ocean breeze with white find sand on the shore. Endless loud waves makes rhythmical sound me feel great and comfortable under the shade. It was great healing time for a couple of time. I will never forget the amazing rest with this beach. I would touch once again if I get a chance to visit Hoi An someday.

Good beach but too commercial for my liking. Can be crowded on weekends and during afternoon. Better to go for some less visited beach nearby.

Beach is near of city center. You can grab motorbike, bike or even grab - I use this option. Along beach a lot of restaurants are available. Sunbeds are sun umbrella are free is you eat in restaurant. Good place to take a rest and spent whole day. It is a little crowded but still nice. I do not see a rubbish on the beach

Nice relaxing beach. Water is warm and waves are not too bad. There are drinks served on the beach. You need to buy drinks to use the beach chairs and umbrellas or you can rent but it's better to buy drinks since it's cheaper to do so. They offer water sports there too. There are vendors on the beach selling souvenirs. You can simply say no thanks and they'll leave you alone. One of my favorite thing to do in Hoi An.

Beautiful beach, visited on a calm day when the water looked pristine. Sand is very hot, would recommend getting a bed if it’s a sunny day, staff who run them are ok and will get you food and drinks from the restaurant if you want anything. Only downside is that people will keep trying to sell you things if you’re on a bed.

Being from Western Australia I’m a brat when it comes to beaches. My experiences with SE Asian beaches did not give me a good impression of beaches outside of WA and I was reluctant to spend the morning sitting on a deck chair staring at the water. My partner however convinced me to go as she had been there before and she assured me that it’s a good beach.. and indeed it was. The water was cool, clear and refreshing and being a 35C day there was not a better place to be. The hotel pool was warm and full of people but here, you have views which are picturesque to say the least, with a huge selection of beachside bars to choose from. What I like about this beach is that it’s not polluted and teaming with motorised watercraft. It’s peaceful, tranquil and you can order a cocktail, beer or coffee to sit and catch some sun then dive into the cool water of the sea. Highly recommended to spend the morning/afternoon/evening especially if your hotel runs a shuttle bus to the beach. I believe they have happy hour and live music in the evening as well.

Lovely beach with plenty of bars/restaurants to get a drink or a bite to eat. We cycled there few times from our hotel. Roads are cyclists friendly, takes 20 min to get there. Highly recommend 👍🏻

Love this beach, very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, not crowded. You can get a sun bed for free as long as you purchase a drink. There’s a few spots that have showers and toilets. It’s very convenient. Definitely a beach to go to when in visiting the Hoi An area.

Nice clean beach with activities to do and places to sit. Not as hassled to buy things as I was on other beaches. The walk to beaches further down the cost are beautiful too.

Beautiful and pristine beach. The shore club offered shower facilities for us to clean our shoes. It was very fun playing near the sea. However the steps leading to the beach could be less slippery and horizontal, rather than being slanted.
