Da
Nang
has
plenty
of
vegetarian
restaurants,
but
this
is
one
you
mustn't
miss.
Of
the
more
than
twenty
vegetarian/vegan
places
I've
eaten
at
in
Saigon
and
Da
Nang,
this
wonderful
spot
stands
out
to
me
the
most.
You
won't
find
"Vietnamese
pizza"
or
any
other
westernized
dishes
here.
Every
dish
on
the
menu
is
vegan
and
authentically
Vietnamese.
You'll
encounter
flavors
here
unlike
any
you've
ever
experienced.
I
only
had
the
chance
to
eat
here
three
times,
but
what
I
ate
has
made
me
fall
in
love
with
Vietnamese
cooking—and
surpassed
anything
I
ate
during
an
entire
month
spent
in
Saigon.
Ideally,
come
with
a
Vietnamese
friend
who'll
show
you
the
correct
way
to
eat
some
of
the
more
exotic
dishes.
If
not,
I'd
recommend
just
getting
some
rice
accompanied
by
the
layered
tofu,
since
that's
straight-forward
yet
packs
amazing
textures
and
flavors.
I'd
say
it
was
the
best
tofu
dish
I've
eaten
in
years.
If
possible,
avoid
coming
here
on
the
day
of
the
full
or
new
moon,
since
it'll
be
super
crowded
with
local
non-vegetarian
Buddhists
who
observe
vegetarian
diets
twice
a
month.
Other
days
it's
not
busy,
especially
mid-mornings
or
late
afternoons,
and
if
you're
lucky
you'll
get
a
chance
to
chat
with
the
owner
who
speaks
good
English
and
is
totally
devoted
to
bringing
her
customers
the
finest
vegan
Vietnamese
food.
A
big
multi-course
meal
will
set
you
back
under
$10.
