Could be a bit overwhelming for someone who’s not used to Asian food as some of the ingredients are quite bold / unique, but the flavors were all in good harmony to me. Also, go chef Summer! We made a reservation for dinner via OpenTable, and came a long way only to be greeted by a closed gate when we arrived. The sign on the gate said that the restaurant had closed for the day for urgent maintenance. We were extremely disappointed that we were not informed despite making a reservation two days in advance. Better service would have been expected from a fine dining restaurant like Nen.

NYE 2019 dinner. Would have been a solid four star but rounding down because of service. What a great way to welcome 2020! Some excellent distillations of Vietnamese flavors for about 3/4 of the degustation, hats off to the chef. Unexpected cuisine in Danang! Sommelier was the weak point. Didn’t engage us enough to ask which wines and vintages we’d enjoyed in the past in order to guide us to the most suited wines for our palates and for the flavors of the menu. When the wine list is limited, we’ve found that more highly skilled sommeliers are needed and attitude in place of actual knowledge and service skill is a definite turn off.

Absolutely delicious course menu. The tastes were so complex and technically executed. The ingredients were used to perfection and the technique was exquisite. I was particularly worried about how the "bee larvae" mousse was going to taste, but it ended up being one of the most delicious items on this menu. The menu changes every 3 months, so you'll always get something exciting and new. The setting was very romantic, and we basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Their wine selection was delicious and their staff was knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice night out with friends, family, or a romantic date. Price very reasonable for the quality of food!

Good romantic dinner place where the chef put a spin on authentic Vietnamese food. The Tré (fermented pork) and stuffed snails are amazing. The rest i feel they overtried a bit and things could have been done more simply (i guess it's easy to fall into the trap of fine dining complexity). Having said that, one of the most decent food experience that's worth checking out.

It branded itself as fine dining, and definitely charged as such. For that amount, you will get a secluded dining place away from the huzz and buzz of city center, and two hours of pretentious fine dining that were served in portion so small that you will have go for second round at the night market far away. The taste is nothing surprising, and the wine pairing is chaotic (soup with zinfandel?). Overall, an expensive experience but none of the indulgence of fine dining.

Had a fantastic dinner here a couple of days ago. We got to taste things I can't possible imagine where else to try, with great service, fine dining quality, and at a very reasonable price (at least for a Swede). If you're curious about food, this is a must when in Da Nang. We learned a great deal about practices and ingredients from our waitress. Stuff that broadens the mind, really. For those anxious about fine dining not filling you up, at least this 75 kg man got plenty of grub and drink. You won't be rolling like a barrel out the door, but is that really preferable? Plus; in the unlikely case of you leaving hungry, there's about a thousand great exotic restaurants within reach that'll fill you up for 1,5 USD... 5/5, would eat there again!

A great experience at this fine dining Vietnamese fusion restaurant. We made reservation with the online reservation system. We ordered a 5 courses menu tonight. The food is delicious and the portion is just about right. Some appetizers were provided between each courses. Personally, I like the beef stew soup and duck breasts a lot. Kids menu is also available. My daughter ordered a very nice BBQ chicken wing.

Fantastic dining experience! They served Vietnamese French cuisine. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing, the presentation of the dishes were simple and nice. The whole menu tasted great and the satay duck breast was my favourite. The Pho was slightly pan fried to give it a texture however I think it’s a bit unnecessary as it makes the pho powdery. All staff were very hospitable and explained every dishes in detail. Worth a visit!

I really enjoyed my experience at Nen, the food was well thought out and the presentation was on point. Some of the textures in the dishes were a little harsh. These guys have a great concept and is well executed. One of the stars are missing because I feel like with a little bit more refining of flavours (some dishes had overpowering flavours which distracted from some of the more subtle ingredients) and an eventual upgrade in some of the flatware and glassware can really make this place even more unreal.

Amazing... Went for the 8 course menu which brought us through a wonderful journey of exquisitely crafted Vietnamese cuisine. Interesting palate cleansers were served every 2 dishes. Every dish did not disappoint, with unique flavours that came together so well. Plating was beautiful to a point that I had to stop and pause to admire before tucking in. Chef notes were provided as well, wonderfully written. I particularly enjoyed the poem for the dessert, which by the way was particularly spectacular as it looked like a stone but tasted nothing like one. ♥️ Service was really good. Linh our server was so thorough in her introduction of each dish that made us look forward to each one. Nen will be part of any trip to Danang for me henceforth. Thank you, Nen.

I can honestly say that this is hands down Danangs best restaurant. It may even be Vietnam's best. Certainly of the restaurants I've been to. The most delicious (modern) Vietnamese food I've ever tasted, Perfect Ambiance, Amazing Service, Solid wine list and unbelievable value. Get there RIGHT NOW!!!

It is a late review but as i have just thought about this place it reminded me to write a review because it was such a highlight in 2019 for me. I have celebrated my birthday with my loved ones at Nen restaurant for dinner , and it couldn’t have been more perfect than it was on that day. We have arrived in the evening and they even put my name on the table on a cute card and wrote a nice text for my birthday. The food was incredible honestly, every course had been spectacular and was so well thought. Even though in the beginning i wasn’t fond of everything i had read on the menu, everything i ate was brilliant ! In the end, they even gifted me their homemade chocolate as a little present and we took some nice polaroids. The service was outstanding and very very attentive and they always checked on us i really loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful in general, a little bit dark but it suited the experience. All in all very harmonic and detailed from the beginning to the end. I would recommend to whomever is reading, to definitely stop by Nen restaurant ! Especially for that price and that excellent quality of culinary experience.

I'm pretty mixed about this restaurant. We had the 5 course meal, with one vegetarian, and it threw off the pacing of the meal and took about 3 hours for some reason. Also some of the deconstructed items were very odd, like a mi quang dish being presented as a rice noodle pasta dish. Generally speaking, wasn't in love compositionally with the tasting menu, but I had bigger issues with the amount of time it took us to get through the meal.

Great culinary experience, unique in this area. Seemed like each dish had it's part in the story, nicely combining lots of ingredients and flavors. Staff & the chef were super nice, she came by and told us a bit about the restaurant, which is now a bit more than 2 yrs old.

Great restaurant with 3 tasting menus. Enjoyed 2 of the menus in our group of 5 people. Might lean towards the “new” menu vs the “refined”. Wine list somewhat limited. Enjoyed the cocktails and beer in addition to the wine. It was very nice of the chef to come and visit our table towards the end of our meal.

And I wish I could give it a 4.5 stars because it is a fine dining experience but not all of the dishes were so well executed.
