Free exhibition which teaches you about some traditional Vietnamese ways of life - silk making, fishing, farming etc. Beautiful building, so go to appreciate this if nothing else. Unfortunately the tea tasting, silk shop etc were all closed when we went hence 3 stars only. Pretty courtyard gardens dotted between the buildings too.

The museum will have their own staff to explain what is showing and they will guide you to the next places. The entrance ticket already includes everything so you dont have to pay an extra fees for it. The museum also replicates a traditional rich house in Vietnam from acient town. This will help you experience and learn lots of exciting things. A must visit if you want to know more about Vietnam fold culture when you have the time.

Highly recommended if you want to learn more about the history of the locals. However, the audio guide would be better if the audio was shorter; it goes way too much into the details

A lovely building typical of ancient town with plentiful information and displays of Hoi An Folk Culture. You'll recieve a warm welcome to the musuem, as you're offerred samples of many teas from around Vietnam, informed of their origin and shown the tea-making process (they also sell the teas you can sample). From here, you can freely explore the two floors of the museum to view displays on the clothing, fishing, farming and trade history of Hoi An, as well as some impressive Caligraphy. Certainly worth a visit with your ancient town pass.

Compared to a lot of the places you can visit with the tickets, this is probably the best for information and also has free toilets! Bonus.

Decent little stop with exhibits on Hoi An’s traditional crafts and industries, such as tailoring, as well as local art for sale. It’s included in the multi-pass ticket you can pick up a few blocks away to the north, along with several other museums and cultural sites in Hoi An.

Very small museum. Some of the staff soon turned to trying to sell us things. There were some interesting info and nice buildings though

Better than the traditional medicine, good amount of material to look at.

This museum is more engaging than some of the others as it gives a good overview of Hoi An’s history in relation to agriculture, crafts such as pottery and carpentry, trade and way of life. There is also a lovely woman who embroiders handkerchiefs and will customise them with your name free of charge

Small 2 story shop house converted to a museum. The museum showing the calture and craft of Hoi An. Main display is the silk growing and weaving. Second floor display lion dance. A gift shop inside selling silk product. You have to buy combo ticket at tourist information center around Hoi An Street (one is just outside museum)

Its a beautiful little display of what hoi ann was in its golden days. Things from a bygone era, and home to small art galleries. Though needs some upkeep. Its still one of must visit places in the old town.

Free museum (always a good start) filled with photos of the different ethnic groups found in Vietnam. Some really interesting stories that go along with the photos, well worth a read through. Each group has an outfit , some of which are the last of their kind. If you want to find out about a little bit of the many cultures I'd really recommend visiting this place, I would say give yourself 60-90 mins to go through it all.
