I
was
suffering
from
allergies
within
the
first
week
of
being
in
Vietnam.
That
went
on
until
it
started
to
become
and
infection.
For
those
who
suffer
from
allergies,
you
know
the
difference
between
being
sick
and
having
allergies.
I
still
took
a
covid-19
test
just
in
case,
but
I
was
negative.
I
went
to
the
International
Hospital,
but
they
wanted
to
charge
$90
USD
(yes,
the
Vinmec
international
hospital
in
Da
Nang
Vietnam),
plus
covid
test
plus
blood
work.
So
I
walked
out.
I
found
the
Da
Nang
General
Hospital
and
everyone
was
great.
The
security
guy
asked
me
in
Vietnamese
what
department
I
needed,
so
he
guided
me
to
the
correct
hallway.
From
there
I
used
Google
translate
to
decipher
the
signs
and
the
correct
floor.
For
not
speaking
1
word
of
the
language,
it
was
a
very
easy
process.
I
was
charged
less
than
$5
USD
for
the
doctor’s
consultation
and
I
was
in
and
out
the
door
within
30
minutes.
The
doctor,
(Tha.Bs
Phan
Vũ
Thanh
Hải)
who
spoke
English,
checked
my
lungs,
saw
up
my
nostrils
and
confirmed
I
was
in
fact
suffering
from
acute
rhinitis,
prescribed
me
a
nasal
spray,
antibiotic
and
other
allergy
medication
for
5
days.
4
prescriptions
for
5
days
were
$25
USD
which
I
was
able
to
purchase
at
the
hospital’s
pharmacy.
I
took
the
meds
as
prescribed
and
I’m
90%
better.
I
cannot
be
at
100%
because
I’m
still
in
Vietnam
and
therefore
surrounded
by
the
allergens
that
made
me
sick
in
the
first
place.
But
I
would
recommend
this
hospital
100%
to
any
foreigner.
The
only
‘bad’
part
about
the
hospital
is
that
you
can
clearly
see
this
is
where
the
locals
go
and
you
can
see
them
lying
in
bed
waiting
for
their
turn,
but
obviously,
if
I
wanted
to
pay
US
prices
while
I’m
Vietnam
I
would
have
stayed
at
the
first
hospital
I
visited.
I
wasn’t
surprised
seeing
this
because
I
grew
up
in
Mexico.
But
for
the
people
that
have
only
been
to
US
hospitals,
this
will
be
quite
a
‘different’
experience
for
y’all.
