I don't normally write reviews but thought I'd share my experience here. I'd double check before booking, some things are misleading. Hotel may have 7 restaurant/bars on the property but only 1 is currently open. Resort had hardly any people during our stay in March and they booked everyone on one floor which also brings up how thin the walls are. Could hear everything going around us in the neighbouring room. On our last night we got back to our room after the room was cleaned to find a few things missing, at the time we thought it was only my girlfriends birth control pills but after flying back home the next morning we discovered also some of her make up/ female products also went missing. I will no longer be staying at any of their resorts, shame too as i like their resort in Cuba. Book one of the other many resorts in that area instead.

Bad experience from the moment we checked in when the staff informed that reception was only open from 8am to 5pm and no staff on premises to provide service after hours and no restaurants or bar open other than breakfast service. Breakfast service was terrible. Worse than a 2-star hotel on both Sunday & Monday with 2 very basic food choices. No fresh juice & restricted rations per guest... Of course there is no one to complain to with the GM or manager never appearing to meet guests on either day. The room was basically ok but the a-c was super-noisy both nights. Only 1 of 3 hotel pools open; beach strewn with garbage, no guest recreation (eg. tennis or badminton)

A western style resort on a campus. We stayed in May so it was very hot and we assume low occupancy, with some facilities closed. The breakfast was good, only small complaint was a bigger choice of non child cereal would be good. We ate at the restaurant by the beach on 4 nights. All meals were well prepared, and service was good. There were a few defects in the room when we arrived; safe not working and a detached curtain so the morning sun shone in my eyes. Room service was rather rushed and left the door ajar on a couple of occasions. Laundry service was convenient but expensive.

I will visit again here because the service and facility was much better than other 4 star hotels and the price was also reasonable. I reserved here in official web site and got a 20% discount promotion. You must book The level room even though you have to pay more, but you will agree once you entered level zone, separate lounge and swimming pool. Also hotel spa was also good and the price was not that much expensive (of course more expensive than other outside local spa). It was still under construction to maintain or build another structure. Main breakfast was normal and i hope Melia would put more attention here.

The stay was far below average. I chose a family room as I was there with my two children. It ended up by being three supplementary beds adjusted In one room. none of the beds was comfortable, and they were unstable. Hopefully none of the children jumped on one of them. The sockets were right behind the pillow of each bed and scary. If you have to stay with children it is better to take a twin room and have a supplementary bed at least 2 out 3 of the beds will be normal comfortable beds ! The hotel was under construction and you could not wander without finding your self facing hideous scenery of broken bricks, and concrete... on the internet site , it was announced we could have bikes ... and when we asked if we could book some bikes the answer was the typical vietnamese " ... so sorry...!". The weather was too hot and we could not walk to the marble mountain... bikes could have helped ! The breakfast was really disappointing, bread was inedible, you had to queue for an ommelet , and even the pho was disappointing! There was one vietnamese coffee boiled coffee ... Most of the time empty ... The swimming pools were large and nice. One last but not least, the last day of the stay , there was a huge aluminium blade drifting in the sea water ( fell from a boat ?) , moving back and forth with the waves ... it was really really dangerous because very close to the shore ... and no one tried to move it away or remove it , it was really really dangerous especially for children playing on the beach! No staff was on the beach , My family stay was really really below average !

This shouldn't be 5 start hotel. This is the first time where i have booked a hotel and the bedsheet is dirty and moldy. In addition, we arrived at 1 p.m and was told to check- in at 2 p.m. However the room was not ready until 2: 30 p.m Reception staff, some of them are rude, toilet is smelly and full of soap when we receive the room. You better spend money somewhere else for you hard working money.

Good but not great, having stayed for a week just after the typhoon that hit nearby the resort was in recovery mode and only the infinity pool and level pool were available, we stayed in the level apartments and changed rooms after the first night, the first room had a dripping noise from outside all night , the western style food from ‘the market place’ restaurant ( the only restaurant open )was way below Par, there is a Vietnamese menu that is not initially offered to westerners, we got incredibly unwell with food poisoning and the staff looked after us extremely well. Shout out to all the staff but especially Phat Tran and Ha for their professionalism and assistance. Overall I feel like we paid a very high price for an experience we didn’t receive and no compensation offered due to any of the level experience expectations being met. The resort doesn’t seem finished and parts of it just seem deserted, not what was promised in the pics. Stayed at many Meliás around the world, this one pales in comparison.

Very nice resort located on the beautiful Non Nuoc beach, amenities are nice and clean, infinity pool is really amazing ! Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with fresh and various kind of food. The hotel is not located in Da Nang downtown but you can go there in 15min easily by taxi. A great place to relax !

The resort is really nice, with a lot of green areas. awesome pools, direct access to a nice and clean beach. Our room option was spot on, we loved the exclusive benefits we enjoyed all week. During breakfast the restaurant was really busy, but during the day the resort is calm and relax as it is very big with 5 pools. Unfortunately, our week did not end well for us, as my husband had a bike crash when he was training on Saturday, before the race so he did not take part. We really thankful to the female Manager who organized a hotel car to take us to a hospital for a X-ray. Great hospitality

Fantastic Resort. it was close to our starting race point. The staff was great and very helpful specially to help us to repair our GO-Pro. Also, even the hotel was busy the give all of us free check out until 1pm, plus provide take away breakfast box when we aske at 4am to the night employees.

Large modern resort, situated out of centre where its nice and quiet. Wide, clean beach in front. Most impressive are the polite hard-working staff who went out of their way to make us feel special. My coeliac dietary needs taken care of by the head chef with gluten free meals separately made for me every breakfast. Other staff remembered our room number, coffee preferences, when & where we were going etc. A cheap 12 minute taxi ride to the busy noisy heart of DaNang. The Melia Beach Resort deserves more patronage as they get back on their feet post covid - we loved our stay and will be back.

The room was comfortable and the pool / facilities were good. However, the room walls were too thin and it was VERY noisy. I couldn't sleep well as I constantly hear people talking, walking, their tv, etc.. The food in breakfast had no taste and the food in the bar near the pool also is very poor. I stayed during the weekend of ironman event and of course they are busy but they still need to work on their customer service. The place wasn't full, the building I'm in looks like a ghost building except the floor where I stay. They don't allow you to check out late unless you pay extra (even though they don't have a guest coming). The housekeeping threw away most of my toiletries and bath stuff. I can go on with all the little details but just in summary, it is a poorly managed hotel. I don't recommend it at all and thus this experience gives me the wrong impression for all the other Melia hotels.

The resort's beach and surrounding area were impressively clean, which made our time there very enjoyable. While the breakfast was decent, we thought it could use a bit more variety (we were here for 6 days). Nevertheless, the food was consistently tasty. The restaurant was a highlight of our stay. We loved the diverse menu featuring local, Asian, and European cuisine. Each meal was a culinary delight. The resort staff were incredibly helpful in every aspect of our stay. Their dedication to ensuring guests' comfort and satisfaction was very much appreciated. We did encounter some noise issues with our neighbors, but the resort staff handled the situation professionally. They quickly moved us to a quieter room, which resolved the problem to our satisfaction. We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the guest experience team, the staff at the main restaurant, and the friendly folks at the pool bar for making our stay memorable. Overall, our time at the resort was fantastic, and we'd happily recommend it to others. Thanks for making our vacation so enjoyable!

I have mixed feelings about the place. The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are great! That I loved :) Apart from one detail, the windows were very dirty and I couldn't enjoy the view (they were planning to clean it the week after we were there so... bad luck). I also appreciated the very friendly and helpful staff, we were very well welcomed. The location is sadly bad. The seaside is made of kilometers of resorts next to each other with nothing in a walking distance apart from ONE highlight: the marble mountains. The hotel is by the sea but you can't swim in that area. You can enjoy the 4 very nice swimming pools though. Breakfast is decent with many options and is something is missing you can ask (fresh orange juice for instance). The one only restaurant they have is acceptable. Not great but okay. Laundry is very expensive though, I recommend you opt for a nearby store if possible. Additional detail, the TV is useless, it has no hdmi and it is not possible to cast.

Amazing resort, convenient yet quite location, wonderful food and drink options, beautiful pool and spa. The staff are what make this resort stand out though, I have never had service this good. Every single person smiles, greets you, remembers you, and genuinely cares about your plans for the day. Uyen was absolutely amazing and she looked after us like we were the only people in the resort. Viet, and Nhi were so lovely and friendly too.

We enjoyed every moment in this resort. Stay 4 memorable day's. Room, facilities, swimming pools, delicious breakfast, restaurants, top class, and the best staffs. Very friendly all the time. Our room was closed to pool and beach. Ms Ha was very helpful and friendly. A beautiful soul.🤍 Thank you for the beautiful birthday cake 🎂. Looking forward to cam back in the future with my kids and friends. Highly recommended 🌴🥥

Highly recommend Melia Resort and spa Da Nang. The staff were incredibly attentive. Check in was smooth when we arrived after a long flight from Australia. The rooms were a good size with a bath. Toothbrushes, shavers and cream, earbuds, shower caps, hair dryers, instant coffee (they make a lovely soy Flatwhite at Sasa. So don’t despair coffee snobs!) Comfy beds and the best pillows. One for your head and another for you body… firm bed but very comfortable. My 21 year old daughter and I hadn’t travelled and stayed for a period of time in a developing country previously. So a western influenced resort (lots of beautiful Vietnamese locals reminded us we were in Vietnam) allowed us to find our feet and feel safe whilst we explored Da Nang using the Grab drivers were fabulous. The guests service liaison staff and Managers were incredible (in particular Uyen, , and Linh Le) When we left we felt like crying. Viet at the bar provided lovely service too. We can’t remember all names (but in particular Nhi who looked after us from Sasa) but everyone was amazing. Thank you to the lady who made my Soy Flatwhite (staff are very familiar with latte and cappuccino). She will always be my “Barista Sister” from Vietnam. Thank you. 🙏🏻 Most staff spoke English (some very, very well) thank you as I don’t speak Vietnamese. Plenty of pools, even (Steven) the pool captain took me around with him to check all the pools 🙏🏻 Its just those little things that make you feel safe and important. It’s very close to Marble Mountain. Easy walk! Little bit further away from the busier part of Da Nang making it peaceful. Thank you so much Melia!

A badly planned, built and managed resort. Most people were friendly and nice but did not speak any english. As I asked when was the hotel built the answer was ”yes”… we were first given a premium sea view room in one of the main buildings. The room was modern, spacious and had a view of the beach and the ocean. There was a door connecting the room to the one next door; one could hear every word spoken in the other room, when somebody is using the toilet, having a shower, using hair dryer. The first evening at 10:30 I rang the front desk and asked if we could change to a room that does not have a connecting door, or no neighbours. We were then moved to a so called villa at a separate ”Level”. The Level rooms are their better rooms, or suites we were told. They cost quite a lot more than the other rooms. The room was musty, dark and seemed old, in a need of renovation. There was no ocen view and the room was just about the same size as the one we first had. I never found out why would one pay more for the ”Level”. The Level rooms are located so that everybody staying in the main buildings has to walk through the Level. The idea that I know from many other Melias I have stayed in, of the Level being separate from the rest of the resort does not work here. The level club was allways closed, there is no service at the level pool. Dirty, used glasses were not cleaned during our stay. The minibar is the same temperature as the room… There are things broken everywhere in the resort. In both of the large pools lots of tiles are loose or missing, some swimming in the water. Next to our room there was a broken chair in the bushes, partly overtaken from the vegetation… we had the whoke time the feeling that the management is on its way out, or just does not care. We felt sorry for the lovely people working there.

I was here with my parents and had the signature 90 minutes aroma massage. My dad is a bit sick and caused a minor problem. Nonetheless the staffs here were kind, accommodating, and understanding. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a bit pricey compared to massage parlors in the city center, but I would say it’s worth the price difference.

I had a good time at Melia Resort Danang 3 nights. The staffs were helpful and so friendly. They always send the support and smile to us. The room is large and beautiful, the garden is so nice and green. The food and breakfast are so amazing. I will come back. Thank you for a great time here

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The staff member was very delightful and eager to help when I had a question. The room was cozy and clean to stay. The view from the room was fantastic. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a very nice hotel with many facilities. There are lovely swimming pools, situated by a wonderful beach. The gym was good with nice view of pool & beach whilst working out. Spa area has sauna, steam room & jacuzzi plus the option to have many types of massage treatments. The staff were lovely. My only small criticism (very small) was the distance to Danang City centre. Though Marble Mountain is a short walk from hotel.

Short of services and staff. No restaurant or food service if you haven't booked in advance , so you need to go city and grab food, Vietnamese staff were great, at least they tried their best. Definitely, a management issue.

  • 5/5 Amanda J. 5 years ago on Google
While the room wasn't as nice as we'd hoped and we weren't thrilled by the view of the construction site from our (uncovered) balcony, the grounds and multiple pools may be the best I've ever seen. The infinity pool is truly stunning. We ate at both restaurants and really enjoyed them both (better and not as absurdly priced as most resort restaurants). Breakfast was great.

The hotel is nice, vast areas to walk around and perfect for families. The staff is always eager to help customers and that is important. Warmth welcome and check out. food and drinks perfect across the resort facilities :)

Ms.Ha from the reception was very helpful throughout our stay. Helped us communicate with our Grab drivers on where we wanted to go. Overall hotel stay was good. Looking at the fact that we stayed here one day after a Major Typhoon, the staff and Hotel overall tried their best to keep the place in order despite the chaos. KUDOS to that. Get the rooms closer to the beach or the villa's if you want to enjoy the most of this hotel.

While the rooms were clean and the facilities up to scratch, the hotel seems to be somewhat lacking in soul. There were hardly any guests around. Only 3 pools were available for use and they keep the lounge cushions by 5.30pm. You have to go through the basement to access the pool and beach but there's a musky smell there. It could have been a better place to stay but fell short this time

Melia Da Nang is a nice resort that is clean and well-kept. During our visit 3 of the 6 pools were open but we’re never busy. The beach is one of the best we’ve been to - great waves and pure sand. We stayed in the Level and had a pool view. The room was clean but the mattress needs replacing and the couch wasn’t overly comfortable. The daily drinks and snacks for Level guests was quite nice. The breakfast buffet was good, lunch at the pool was enjoyable but dinner at the hotel was limited as only one restaurant was open and the room service menu does not offer a wide selection. Staff were very friendly & helpful. We’ve stayed at a Melia resort previously in Punta Cana, and did not find Melia Da Nang to be at the quite the same level but wonder if the resort took a hit with Covid. Overall, it was a great vacation and we would return to the resort.

This place gave me mixed feelings .. The hotel looks nice & the staff are friendly, however I wouldn't stay here again. We came here for the Ironman competition. We asked for an early breakfast as the competition starts at sunrise. They said they can provide breakfast but we cannot have breakfast again when we come back which is okay. They provided us with 2 pieces of fruits and 1 egg (see picture) which obviously wasn't enough for someone who's going to compete for over 6 hours. My friends booked a normal room and we booked a slightly better room, they couldn't sit with us during breakfast cause the hotel is divided into categories which we found odd. They have bicycles which they rent for 100k per hour, all the tyres were deflated and the bike brakes didn't work fully. We asked for an hour late checkout and they said we need to pay an extra 1.5 million although their check in is not until 3pm.

We had to stay here because Hoi An was flooded... We called it the ghost hotel, unfortunately and it is understandable, typhoon and pandemic...however the installation lacks of a lot of maintenance... The staff is amazing!!! The attention is incredible, the food for breakfast is good. Finally, the room, was really neat, ample and well maintained. This is a candid feedback, since, it is a great hotel chain and the expectations is that this must been seen, here it isn't. Thank you to Loc, Ngen!

One of the worst experiences that I ever have. When we checked in at around 8 30 pm, no staff except one receptionist who also acted as bell boy. Bar and restaurant are closed. No lights in the passages. Had to carry our luggage to our rooms. Hotel has about 100 rooms in the main building but except our group occupying 6 rooms, apparently all other rooms were vacant. Gave a haunting look. During day time it was ok and breakfast was really very good. Kitchen staff was very good but the staff on the reception was rude. On the top of this we were charged around 3 dollars for a cheap laundry bag .
