Wow wow wow! A fabulous place to enjoy the freshness, wild monkeys, cool breezes and panoramic views of the Ocean and clouds. The highlights here is the Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda with the tallest Lady Buddha Statue in Vietnam. The 100 year old banyan tree, Helicoter pad, chess table peak, etc. If you would like to explore this landscape, be well prepared!

Come for the view and leave with the memories. A nice way to spend an hour or so to wander around the temple grounds. The place is steeped in history and culture. When the weather is cool, the experience is enhanced many times over. A great way to start the tour of Vietnam.

Beautiful mountain, a quick getaway from the city with terrific scenery. The peninsula has a temple, a museum, many resorts, etc. It works well for all sorts of people. Must see place when you are in Danang

It's beautiful than Hai Van Pass, the beach is amazingly beautiful. Trees, mountains, monkeys, nature, rides, views, amazingly wonders and worth the drive and visits. Ban Co peak was worth the view on the top.

Such a nice, scenic escape from to the mountains 😊 Best part for me is the cool, fresh air and all the monkeys 🐒 The monkeys are pretty intense though, if you have any food be sure to hide it from them! Feeding the monkeys looks like it will be fun but keep in mind a couple things before doing so. Many monkeys die crossing the busy road trying to get food from humans, some monkeys get aggressive with each other and hurt the weaker ones stopping them from eating anything as well. If it's something you still really want to do just make sure you feed them nuts or fruits.. sugary/ processed food is terrible for the monkey's health! Otherwise just enjoy the views and nature watching 👀

‍‘Monkey Mountain’ or ‘Sơn Trà Mountain’ located on Sơn Trà Peninsula overlook Da Nang bay. People on the east coast can see the enormous white statue called ’The Lady Buddha’ or ‘The Goddess of Mercy’ sitting on the tophill by the sea, in the ground of Linh Ung Pagoda Naughty monkeys and dogs are playing around in the area, so please be careful of your belongings The place is nice

Don't be put off by the very steep incline, it is certainly worth it, believe me. The scenery from the top is jaw dropping and the clouds breeze past you to keep you cool.

A must to visit if you come to Vietnam! I am not the first person to say so, whatever my first or many times more coming to Son Tra, I always get full fresh & peaceful vibes. Such stunning view with mountain, city, sandy beach, rock and the Lady Buddha looking at our homeland and praying for everyone a good life 🙏

Great view over Da Nang! The roads leading up here are adventurous, but manageable with a motorbike. I didn’t see a single monkey on the way though.

The road was blocked for automatic scooters ? But we still spot some monkeys

  • 5/5 Alex P. 1 year ago on Google
No automatic motorbike allowed. If you rent a scooter, be aware only semi-automatic or manual are allowed to ride through

The Lady Buddha’ or ‘The Goddess of Mercy’ facing the sea. According to local no more storm in danang since this was built. Cooling and very nice place, you are able to see the city view from there

we left hoi an town but still had time for our flight to Hanoi so visited this place, called monkey mountain near Danang city. it's just on the shore of the sea and at good height so provides marvelous views of sea. very large Buddha statue is visible from far distance from the Danang beach. pagoda and garden are also there. eatery provides food and drinks at very reasonable price that's plus point as this is rare in Vietnam!! over-all good place to visit for 3-4 hours

May the majestic Son Tra Mountain in Da Nang, Vietnam, be a testament to the enduring beauty of nature. May the goddess Guan Yin bless this land with prosperity, and may its people thrive under the shelter of her compassionate gaze.

Must-visit-place in Da Nang city which includes some of top tourist attractions: Linh Ung Pagoda, Ban Co peak,... with awesome city & beach views. You can travel around Son Tra mountain by car, motorbike or even bike. On the way, you can easily see lots of monkeys (That’s why Son Tra Mountain is also known as Monkey Mountain)
