Highly recommended! We had a private tour of a local market, were taken to a large organic farm where many crops had been planted. Learned how to cook all of our favorite dishes and got the recipes given to us at the end! We have cooked them at home now and they taste exactly the same bringing back very fond memories. Definitely one of our highlights of our trip to Hoi An!

Superb cosy and unique experience! I can see that Jolie’s team is very passionate about making this a top notch experience for customers. They have two sessions 8am and 2pm. We were a small group of 5 pax led by Rosie (Jolie’s sister) and bamboo (cousin), and from the timeliness of pickup, we sat in a comfortable car to head to a local coffee shop to drink Vietnamese coffee and chat. Then we walked over to Hanh market to get groceries for cooking and got introduced to different ingredients unique to Asia. After that we proceeded to an organic farm which we met an old lady managing it and had the opportunity to replant some baby lettuce and water the soil. They gave us cone hats to wear too. Took many photos and videos and the hosts ensured we were all taken care of. Lastly the final 2hrs or so we went back to Jolie’s house to cook a few local dishes though mainly we were cutting the ingredients (each one took one ingredient) and mixing stuff and individually we cooked a pancake, wrapped spring rolls and the other 2 dishes they had someone help us. It was delicious as an overall farm to table kind of experience and not really specifically focused on cooking. A lot of laughs, songs, dances and interactions which are fun :) in total close to 6hours spent. You also get a little nice gift at the end. The only thing I could suggest to improve is that the coordination before the activity as I was triggered by them via email and WhatsApp few days before to change dates & time due to another group booking, and I had to change some of my plans to fit. And I indicated that my flight is in the evening and was promised to be sent to hotel by end of 5hrs but it dragged on and we had a hard time getting a ride and I had to get Grab but they assisted to reimburse me for that which I’m appreciative. However there was some stress involved as we only had 45 mins to get back to hotel and reach airport before our flight check in is cut off at 830pm (flight at 915pm) (which was why I initially booked an earlier time slot). I was so afraid that I would miss my flight. I feel that coordinator needs to align with on ground personnel on time management.

I went to Jolie class with my 2 kids. Jolie quickly understood the needs of my sons and offered them some snacks. We learned so much that we hadn’t stopped talking about the class after finishing. The food was delicious and we were given recipes. I will definitely cook them when I'm back home. Thank you Jolie, you did a great job! – Highly recommend Jolie Da Nang Cooking Class

Jolie Danang Cooking Class is one of the best cooking class for local foods and real fishing life of Vietnam. We've become solid travel partners of each other after our first guests' experiences. They did love the Da Nang tours with them extremely. The cooking class itself is delicious, delicate to every small details of the cooking tours with children and family. Can't recommend Jolie Da Nang Cooking enough. One the the highlighted tours in Vietnam!

We learned so much that we hadn’t stopped talking about the class after finishing. The food was delicious and we were given recipes after the cooking course with care. We were so lucky to have an individual class with Rosie and Blue. Rosie speaks fluent English and she explains everything in details, like Vietnamese tradition in food, seasoning, and absolutely the cooking steps. For a person not cooking at home like me, I found no problem with her help and explanations to finish all the 4 dishes. Big thanks to Rosie, a really lovely girl with a warm heart. 😘 I would love to cook with them again if I will visit Da Nang in the future. If you are planning your own trip in Da Nang, this class is highly recommended to you!

Great cooking class! We started at the market for a coffee stop and to pick up some fruits and vegetables for cooking. We learned some phrases and customs, which was good fun and very useful. We then went to Jolie's house for cooking and made claypot eggplant, banh xeo (pancakes), rice paper rolls, pho, and we also had different fresh fruits. Good fun and a great group. Total $35 per person and they were able to accommodate me and my partner (both vegan). We were also challenged to pancake throwing and chopstick using! Note that our pickup was a bit delayed (supposed to be 8:45 but turned out to be around 9:10) and that there is ONLY pickup for the cooking and market option, not the cooking only option (and only from 2km distance from the Han market). No drop off after the event finishes. But those are just details to bear in mind when planning your fun day out!

This tour is fantastic. My partner and I had an amazing experience at our cooking class. We were picked up in the morning at our hotel and taken to the coconut boats for a fun trip on the water. We then went to a local market to find our cooking ingredients, stopped for coffee then went to Jolie’s house to cook four Vietnamese dishes. Our teachers Kelly and Summer made the class very fun and the food was delicious. We left with the recipes, so we can try them out back home.

If you're looking for a cooking class where you can learn how to prepare typical and excellent Vietnamese dishes, this is the place to be! But above all, you'll have an unforgettable time in very good company (we were 3 friends and we had a real laugh with Lucy and Anna). On top of that, we ate the equivalent of 4 meals, but it was so goooood!!!! We 100% recommend this little piece of paradise 👌🥰

You will love this immersion into Vietnamese cuisine. Jolie has planned every minute of an exciting, hands-on experience in which we used all five senses. We and another family started with Jolie in a big local market, shopping for our meal. Then we visited an urban farm, where we raked the soil, planted some lettuce, and watered the plants using traditional buckets. Jolie passed around six different fresh herbs and greens for us to smell. Next we went to her kitchen. We prepared several ingredients for our meal, and everyone from seniors to kids was busy chopping, peeling, mashing, slicing. We rolled fresh spring rolls, fried and flipped rice pancakes, and cut tomatoes into the shape of a rose. We had a lovely dinner and an unforgettable time in making it. Thank you, Jolie, for a great cultural experience.

We went to this cooking class in Da Nang to experience this best activity in Da Nang. The lady on the farm was so cheerful and nice which made us feel warmly welcomed. We tried out some field work there then moved on to Hoa Cuong Wholesale market to buy lots of fresh foods for the class and fruits for ourselves. Stopped at a local coffee shop and enjoyed a glass of iced Vietnamese coffee before heading to Jolie's house. After that, we went to the Fishing village and caught fishes by ourselves on a small funny boat. We saw great fishing life of local people by our eyes. Jolie the cook then took us to her home for home cooking class and started cooking some local dishes including spring rolls, salad, pho, fried chicken with fish sauce. The cooking experience was nice and fun. The food we cooked was delicious and we ate a lot (Overfull). Each one of us got a recipe book so we could try to cook the Vietnamese dishes again. Overall it was a good experience in Da Nang. The tour guide was nice, the food we cooked was tasty and we were happy to meet people from other countries such as USA, France, Japan. Joining a cooking class or food tour would be a great opportunity and a fast way to know more about Da Nang and local culture that we really loved to do. Keep doing the good job Jolie!

What a great experience! We had a great afternoon learning about some of our favorite Vietnamese dishes with Rosie and her cousins in their home. We made fresh spring rolls, the Vietnamese pancake (my favorite), pho, a yummy eggplant dish, and all the delicious dipping sauces! They catered to our special dietary requests, which was really helpful to us. This family kept us full and kept us laughing! We only did the cooking class in Danang, which we found listed on their website, but I wish we had joined the market tour because we had so much fun during the class. The cousins were great about involving everyone in the group. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn some of the secrets of great Vietnamese cooking and have a memorable, fun time as well! This would be a great activity for the entire family!!

My Partner and I took Jolie's cooking class and we both loved the entire experience. The class started with us going to the market where all the restaurants and locals go, so no tourists there at all. At the market, Jolie stopped us at the different sections (meat, veg, fruits, herbs) to pick out the ingredients we would use for lunch. After the market we went and had coffee and had time to get to know the other members in our class. We cooked 4 different dishes and cooked together as a group, which made the experience! My Partner is vegan, and Jolie had a separate menu ingridents for him. Everything we made was delicious and we had such a great time throughout the day. Highly recommend!

The most amazing cooking class with Rosie and help from Hannah!! As I stayed in Da Nang for a couple weeks I decided it would be the perfect place to do a cooking class. After seeing amazing reviews for Jolie’s we decided to give them a try and we are so glad we did!! We booked a couple days in advance and it ended up being just my Sister and therefore accidentally having a private class! We started off by having a coffee and introducing ourselves, walked to Han Market where we learnt how buying produce works, after we went to Jolie’s where the class takes place. I am very glad we decided to do the market as it was super interesting to see how it works properly! We made four dishes and got fruit for dessert. The cooking was informative and super fun, we ate after preparing each which was fab as it meant I didn’t get too full!! The food was soooo tasty!!! As they have food tours in Hoi An Rosie sent me a list of recommendations for when we visited which was so kind! If you are looking for a cooking class I really, really recommend!

My husband and I are so glad we went for Jolie’s cooking class in Đà Nẵng. We have been to cooking classes in other cities before, but this tour/class was more fun, informative, and personalized than any of those others. Rosie is an outstanding tour guide and cooking instructor. She gave us an amazing insider tour of the Han market, where we helped pick up some of the ingredients for the day while learning a lot about the market culture in Vietnam. At their cooking school in a really authentic Đà Nẵng neighborhood Rosie and Lucy guided us through the preparation of four Vietnamese dishes, including bánh xèo, a papaya salad, banh canh, and eggplant cooked in a clay pot. Everything was delicious and, even though we were already familiar with Vietnamese cooking, we still learned a lot! The entire class was engaging and entertaining. Rosie and Lucy are fabulous hosts and guides (special shout out to Rosie for helping my husband work on his Vietnamese!) TLDR: Jolie Cooking Class is entertaining, enlightening and absolutely worth doing. Totally recommended this 10/10 experience!
