Loved our stay at this amazing place. Property is kept in raw and really natural state. You will love this if you prefer spending quality time in the lap of nature. What we really liked is the minimal commercialization done in the surroundings and premises itself. Hosts Mrs Uma & Mr Vijay More put their soul in providing best services to their guests. We felt like home away from home. Swimming, kayaking and boating in backwaters was one of the most pleasant experience. No swimming pool and a typical resort can give you this experience. Chicken, veg thali and chicken barbeque were just amazing. A complete delight overall. A must visit place, you will love being here again and again.

The hospitality and the food is one major reason why I would go here again. The location is great for an offbeat visit. The rooms are average but very decently maintained and kept clean. 2 double beds in each room to accommodate 4 and a small grassy lawn and sitting area outside. Uma and Vijay More (the hosts) are very responsive and polite and take all your feedback and requests with a big smile. Ashish, the caretaker and Sandeep, the cook will ensure your stomachs are taken care of. Shout out to Ashish for taking care of any request and being forever assistive. For a modest cost per person which includes all meals and a kayaking and boating experience, this was the best VFM experience. Except for BSNL , no mobile networks are available, and the Wifi is very very basic to only send and recv text msgs on Whatsapp (it gets a lil faster at night). The property is 15 mins walk through a small village away from the lake/river and Ashish will accompany you for a kayaking or swimming session. You can also walk to the lake if you want to chill by the banks or an early morning trek. The food also includes BBQ and has a lot of variety where you can ask the hosts on what is available- we were even served fresh water fish for lunch which was great. There's a bonfire for the chilly nights and the property is pretty secluded to allow you the peace and quiet away from the city. The internal roads when descending from Mahabaleshwar are being constructed and shud be ready in a month or two. The Tapola main market is 10-12 kms away and with the roads being done shud be fairly quicker to reach soon. There are many other properties closer to the Tapola town and lake but this one is great just for the location,seclusion, food and above all else the hospitality. Will definitely visit again!

Went there for New Year celebration as we wanted a quiet place to spend the evening with close friends and family. The experience was just fantastic! Take a swim in the lake if possible, you won't find a more refreshing moment there. And wake up early in the morning and go hiking in the hills nearby. Apart from the natural bliss, the kind staff and the service is just too good. Must visit if you're looking for a peaceful vacation!

I visited this with my family and had an awesome time here. It is a hidden gem surrounded by hills providing breathtaking views. On top of that host provides exceptional service, rooms are clean and delicious home made food and Activities like swimming kayaking included in the package. If you are looking for a break from hectic life and be with nature. Must visit place.

I would definitely recommend this place if you want to explore the true nature. We loved hiking, boating and kayaking activities at this place. Food was also really delicious. I will definitely go back again to Sakha Niwas.

Went with friends. Beautiful and peaceful location, view of the valley and the hills. Clean rooms and clean bathroom. Polite staff. Koyna river is at walking distance. Will definately look forward to visit again.

Amazing place right in the heart of nature. The owners are very courteous and welcoming. Simply loved the water activities such as boating, kayaking. The best part about this place is there is no network so we friends spent a quality time together keeping our mobile phones away for 2 days. I would personally recommend people to visit this place

This is one of the best places to visit if you love swimming, kayaking, astrophotography, going on long walks on hills or to the lake in the morning/evening, and other outdoor activities. The food is awesome. The owners are very generous and friendly. All these things make me and my friends come here again and again

I have been to this place 4-5 times and will keep visiting whenever possible. Mr. More and his family will make you feel at home. The location, surrounding, ambiance is awesome. Food quality is never been compromised and they never say no to any special needs. Their barbeque in the evening is icing on the cake. Rooms are clean and well maintained. A very beautiful & a perfect place to have a good time with your family & friends, if u love nature and peace. The packages are budget friendly and services are awesome and quick, clean and hygienic rooms. Our 5 days trip was awesome and mesmerizing. Especially the river diving was awesome i personally never had experienced of it. The beautiful and clear water of Koyna River was unbelievable. Must do things : • River Boating/Diving (Must do) • Island Visit • Trekking Complete Privacy and amazing Home-made food. A must visit place 👍
