First time here. Had 2 waters, lobster fritter appetizer, surf and turf, lobster risotto, coconut cake and banana pudding cheesecake...$136. Had "garlic knots" bread prior to meal (3)....2 for each person would be nice ideally. Appetizer was delicious with the spicy aioli sauce! Lobster risotto had chunks of lobster and a lobster tail, super cheesy and delicious! Surf and turf, the steak was very good and shrimp was good but those cold vegetable thing in the middle of it was not good at all, didn't contribute to the plate whatsoever! Banana pudding cheesecake tasted like cheesecake, good but didn't taste like banana pudding. Coconut cake was soooooo good!!! I will go back and get take out with several pieces of cake...LOLOLOL

Stand outs was the great service and quality ingredients! Molly was awesome I was a little disappointed that the spicy cream corn was a bit bland and my crispy brussels sprouts where not crispy. But overall it was a very enjoyable dinner. Reservations are definitely a must even during the week. If you call after business hours leave a message and they will call back . Also try going on a Tuesday too because one of the chef specials will always be a different style of taco. So yummy! Also try a desert. All homemade . My husband couldn’t get enough of the banana pudding cheesecake !

A new treasure in the city of Columbus! Definitely treat yourself to an amazingly prepared fine dining experience. The newly renovated atmosphere is nicely decorated with respect to the original structure in Downtown Columbus. Service was outstanding; friendly and knowledgeable. The dinner menu was delicately prepared and food portions are generous. 💯

We've been to the Salt Cellar before and it was a great experience. This time is no different. We sat at the bar with Olivia being our bartender. She was awesome. Super kind and attentive. We had the Crab Cake, Lobster + Scallop Fritters and Salmon Tartar. All delicious, but the Crab Cakes are what keeps us coming back. They are the best!!! For drinks I had the Uptown Girl, fruity + tart, and Lemon Pepper Stepper, lemony with a bite, my guy had Blood Moon Margarita and Dragon Fruit Mai Tai. He liked them both. For dessert we had Orange Dreamcicle Cheesecake from Sugarpedaler. We devoured it. So good 🤤 Definitely recommend this place.

Everything from the decor of the restaurant down to the drinks was amazing! We started off with a few signature cocktails and ordered the filet, which was cooked to perfection! And then dessert…. DO NOT leave this place without getting dessert! IT IS A MUST!!!

Delicious steak! Even though I had it to go. Juicy and cooked to medium rare perfection. Also really enjoyed the crab cake and all the sides. Solid place in downtown Columbus.

Here on business, stopped in from a recommendation. Glad I did! Sat at the bar, great drinks served with conversations about local stuff and mixology. Ordered the scallops with the grit cake, and was not disappointed. Scallops were perfect, and I was pleasantly surprised at the fried grit cake, seriously delicious. Looking forward to my next visit!

Went to eat by myself on a slow night and sat at the bar, so my experience was probably different than if I had gone with others. The service was great. I had Madison who gave the perfect recommendations down to the wine. I ordered the mussels and the filet medallions oscar. The mussels were very good. Nothing about my meal was bad and I'm glad I tried this restaurant. However, I was not blown away by the food, so I will most likely try somewhere new when I'm visiting Columbus next time. I'm also the type of person who likes to try different places though.

Not sure what all the hype is all about. Showed up on a Friday night around 6pm and was able to get a table for two with the note from front desk that the table is reserved for 7pm so I will need to be finished by then. Ok so what. Overall, spent $160 for two people. Two drinks, trio appetizer, two meals, and two slices of cheesecake. Not worth the money paid to be honest. Steak was tender and cooked perfect. Mash potato and green beans were not bad. Salmon had no flavor except for the charbroil; tasted like a seafood whopper. For trio, ribs and fried mussels were delicious. Scallops had no taste except for the charbroil. Ugh. Finally, the cheesecake was devine! Ordered butter beer and banana pudding cheesecakes. Both were amazing. Again, overall the place was OK for a visit but won't be a must-visit spot. Only popular because of the limited hours which makes it seem more premium than it is. Was a very "meh" meal.

We did not know this restaurant was here. We didn't know what we were missing!! We sat at the Bar with Kameron and he was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable about everything that was offered. The food...OMG! We had the onion rings for appetizer, the Dragonfruit MaiTai for my birthday drink. My darling husband had the grilled Halibut and I had the Surf & Turf. Phenomenal! We took all of the desserts home because we could not decide, they all looked delicious. They gave me a birthday dessert which was fantastic...it was a slice of Orange Blossom Pound Cake with a Mixed Berry Compote and Whipped Cream. We will be back!!

I have eaten at Saltcellar quite a few times before and it has been outstanding! Their desserts are to die for. They actually have a dessert bar! Well tonight, I decided to go to Saltcellar for just dessert with 3 other ladies. One of the ladies had never tasted the dessert there and was pretty excited. When we walked in the host directed us towards the “Dessert Bar” where others were eating desserts. Cameron (the man tending the dessert bar) looks at us and says, it’s going to be a couple of minutes, then looks at 2 of the ladies with to go boxes in hand and ask, if we had eaten dinner somewhere else (kind of rudely). We waited for a few minutes which seemed understandable being that he looked busy. After he takes our order, another couple comes in and he greets them with all smiles and ask if they were getting desserts to go and they smile and say yes, and proceeds to ask , oh would you also like the whip cream and cherries on the side and they were pleased and said yes. We looked at each other and then and looked at him and told him that WE would also like those sides for the same $11 pieces of cheesecakes that he had just plopped into our boxes. Cameron is white and so was the couple that also came in for “just dessert” that he so graciously offered the service that I’m used to getting from there. The ladies in my group are diverse group (black and Latino). Military backgrounds and all. Cameron had no issue providing “just dessert” to all the other people that had just come in from other restaurants to get “just dessert”. The lady that was excited to try the dessert said no thank you. The other 3 of us had to ask for the sides he so freely offered to the rest of the Caucasian groups he was serving. Whether Cameron is a bigot, I don’t know but that’s what it felt like standing there. Told what seemed to be a manager but he dismissed her because he thought we were disturbed by the wait time that he quickly blurted out to us instead of a greeting like the couple he offered standing next to us. Maybe Cameron needs a little more ethical training. But, as much as it bothered him, he still was gracious to spray some whip cream on this Latina’s piece of cake.

Awesome good and service. Our server was Nick and he was fabulous. Our drinks weren't quite up to par but, the strawberry cheesecake was awesome

Had a great dinner. The food was delicious (grouper that was so yummy no sauce was needed and great portions), excellent service and fabulous atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be back again. Don't forget your reservation.

I have dined at Saltcellar on a few occasions while in town for business. Every experience I have had here has been positive. The waitstaff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I love that they have daily specials, highlighting local and fresh food. I’ve only tried the mussels and house salad on their appetizer menu, but both are great. The seafood platter with large gulf shrimp, scallops and a lobster tail was the latest dish I got and was so good. All the side vegetables have also been great. Their dessert menu also offers a wide selection of cakes and cheesecakes to finish off your meal. Wonderful for a special occasion or date night, too!

Took my mom for her birthday. It was overall a good experience. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing, the restaurant was nice and clean. The appetizers and drinks were the stars of the meal. We had the grilled halloumi and the tuna tartar special. The entrees were the letdown of the evening. The ribeye I ordered was way overcooked, the brussel sprouts were not roasted nearly as long as they needed to be, and the mashed potatoes looked rubbery and unappetizing. However, the scottish salmon and seafood platter were great. Now as for the desserts, the coconut cake was phenomenal, and the cereal cheesecake and banana cheesecake were delicious as well. Other than the entree blunder, I overall recommend this place. Next time I come it will be more of a sit at the bar and have drinks and appetizers.

Very stately dinner. Hostess was very nice and sat us early. Norwegian salmon was great and seafood platter was most scrumptious

It has taken me forever to get to this place. It did not disappoint! I had the Norwegian Salmon with Remoulade Sauce, Herb Mashed Potatoes, and Spicy Cream Corn. My drink, The Great Alexander, was a unique experience. An orange flavored delight. I slept like a baby for the rest of the night, full and happy.

Amazing and incredible food, best service I’ve experienced in Columbus - all makes for a memorable evening! I hope it works out with Kameron, the pastry bartender with an identity crisis. Kiara is secretly plotting something, which I both want to support but also watch from afar. Order the scallops for the vegetables.

Service was beyond great! Dessert was amazing (strawberry cake). The entrées were good. Scallops were a little more scorched than seared. And the ribeye had quite a bit of silverskin to work around. However... the Grit Cakes are phenomenal!! Overall, great date night! Would recommend highly everyone. Plan on returning soon.

The service and atmosphere are amazing. The food was great up until. My main course was brought to me. Out of the three steaks that came to the table, mine was the only one that had a heavy char to it when asked for medium-well. Now I still ate the steak because I've had a bad experience with sending food back once before (different story and place), even with the extra char to it, it wasn't bad. Still had some pink in the middle just left over the fire a little too long. Great place, great people, and good food.

Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations! He had a wonderful attitude and made the experience more enjoyable. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection! The steak was so tender you could cut it with your fork! Delicious! My only complaint is where we sat at that time of day the sun was shining in our face so a little tint on some of the windows would help. But it wasn't much of an issue. I'll definitely go back!

This new salted caramel chocolate tart at the dessert bar is by far the best thing I’ve tasted in awhile! Thank you Kameron for making it just the way I asked for.

Based on recommendations from family and on line we decided on salt cellar for our 20th anniversary dinner. It was amazing. Alexandra was our waiter and she was professional, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. My wife ordered the stuffed trout and I ordered the Oscar medallions. Both are a 10 out of 10. The Vidalia onion rings were also good with a unique dipping sauce. The apple butter cheese cake was the best cheese cake I've ever had. You can't go wrong. Try it.

Let me start by saying we have been dining here for three years since we relocated from northern Virginia. This place would have been a home run IF it would have stuck to the same menu from 2020. When we first dined there in May 2020, the bread and food were phenomenal. Now??? Not so much. Someone keeps changing the menu and the bread. We dined there yesterday, 6/20, and were served dried cornbread and average food. They have taken several items off the menu that were a hit. They had a steak and lobster tail combo that was really good. That’s gone. They had a homey butter with delicious bread. Also gone. I don’t know why places like this have something great going then decide to arbitrarily remove them. This place is lucky it’s in a small market like Columbus, which does not have many upscale restaurants. Not sure if I’ll return, which is a shame.

The customer service was excellent! Issac was our server, and he did a great job. We were seated in the back near the restroom, which is usually a problem for me, but how they set it up isn’t bad. Issac recommended the incredible mocktail “Uptown,” which is a must-try. Sadly, the food was just okay. We had crab cakes and shrimp as appetizers, and the shrimp was pretty bland. My bf got the seafood pasta, and I had the salmon entree. Overall we would rate the food a 3.8.

The dessert is a MUST!!!! We had Matilda’s Chocolate Cake, Coconut Cake, Cheesecake, and Oreo Cake (all amazing). I had the Seafood Pasta (yummy but I had to ask for more sauce)and my girlfriend had 4oz Medallion Steak with Potatoes and Lump Crab with Brussel Sprouts, Spicy Cream Corn (my girlfriend said it was a NO), and Grit Cakes. I can’t remember what my friends had but we all enjoyed the entree. However, the sides weren’t the best, a little bland. Our server was very nice and patient. We were seated in the front near the entry, it was a little tight. We all agreed to return soon!

My wife and I went there for our 20th wedding anniversary. We chose wisely! We shared the Goat Cheese Stuffed Piquillo Peppers, delicious and unexpected. My wife had the Filet Medallions Oscar, ordered medium rare. They were cooked to perfection and melted in her mouth. I had the Shrimp and Grits which were delicious and a new take on the classic meal. We then shared the classic cheese cake for dessert, amazing! My wife had two uptown girls and I had two of their bourbon mixed drinks. Drinks were great, service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing.

Beautiful atmosphere. It is a great date night spot. I had the blood moon margarita and filet medallions. My husband had the Seafood Fettuccine. Everything was delicious and large portions. The bartenders were attentive and entertaining. Great date night spot to check out. We will be back. Plus the menu has gluten free options.

The service was amazing from the beginning. The drinks were the best I’ve ever had in a long time in Columbus. Isaac was a wonderful and attentive server. And he was very efficient at taking care of all of our needs.
