It is one of my favorite rooms. The entrance of this property is same as that for department store, so when it is regular sale period of the store, there can be traffic. Apart form that, the property is in good location (easy to access both by car and public transportation), spacious, clean and with very good facilities incl. Marquis Fitness Club (B2F) one of the Asian best Fitness Center with indoor basketball, squash, Table Tennis and Swimming pool. Software: Even though it is Lunar New Year Holidays, the private check-in/out process at the Executive Lounge is nice and quick. My Children like Pizza but should find that it is not available for inroom dining. I hope that it can be added. The Executive Lounge here is the Model Answer to all other properties. As per the real JW style as expected, the staff are friendly, helpful and professional and special thanks to Ms. Jimin An for her customized attentive service.

An excellent hotel in a great location with very nice amenities and staff. We had a fantastic view from our room. The sheets, mattress, bathroom, cleanliness, layout, elevators, pool, wifi, etc. was great. Loved being next to the high end mall and all the shopping and food choices. We really enjoyed our stay.

Incredible property with amazing staff. Request a high floor with river view. Executive lounge offers food and beverage unlike anything in the US. GM (Silvio) is about as good as they come. He runs an extraordinary hotel, and no detail is overlooked. This is more like a Four Seasons or Ritz than JW. His team is unified in providing a seamless, relaxing and enjoyable experience. Thank you for an incredible stay!

I stayed at JW Marriott in Seoul for almost a year and it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in my life! The hotel is really beautiful and has an amazing staff. They were so helpful and friendly during my entire stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The hotel also has a gym and a swimming pool which were both really nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a lot of options. The location of the hotel is great, it's near a lot of restaurants and shops. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at JW Marriott in Seoul. It was an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back!

The hotel itself is very nice. It’s close to transportation options. Executive Lounge access is definitely worth the extra money. The pool is pretty much unusable by hotel guests. First of all 3 of 6 lanes are reserved for their gym members and hotel guests are prohibited form using those. Of the 3 remaining lanes, 1 is for adults only. So there are 2 lanes available for hotel guest with kids/teens. There is a kiddie pool if your kids are very little. But my teens didn’t get to swim at all bc even the 2 lanes that were supposed to be open to hotel guest were being used by their gym members. Members only lanes are for members but the others are also used by members so it’s not welcoming or convenient for hotel guests. Consider the pool unavailable. Rooms are conformable and nicely appointed as expected in this price range. It was enjoyable but for the same rate, I think I’d prefer to stay elsewhere next time.

The best Marriott hotel in Seoul. Staffs are very friendly, professional and really caring for your life in a day and night. Rooms are very clean, no carpet and spacious enough in comparison with other Marriott hotels in Seoul. Highly recommended

We had loved/used this hotel at every time we visited Korea.. well maintained rooms (we usually get multiple rooms)/ great service/mostly nice warm croissants as breakfast in cafe Flavor. Well…, sadly something changed. Service is moderated- no immediate staff service in front of hotel (had to go inside and look for a person), longer waiting time in front of elevators, feeling rushed at breakfast (actually they took the plate off the table without asking, cleaning the table for the next guest when we were out to get food), also low quality of food now (guess this can be subjective).. etc. I am not sure if I want to stay next time.

Modern, well maintained and clean facility in one of the busiest parts of Seoul from a vehicle traffic standpoint. Street entrance to a large reception area where the concierge is located but front desk lobby is located on 8th floor. Staff very helpful and attentive. Rooms spacious and clean. The only minor complaint would be the elevators. They have multiple ones but for some reason they are programmed to maximize energy efficiency. While I am fully supportive of conservation, what happened almost every time I used the elevators, it would stop at multiple floors before reaching the lobby. There has to be a balance between energy savings and customer convenience.

Where on earth is this hotel? I had to ask 3 employees at the department store to find the location. The signs are small or non-existant. Elevators are packed with people, and it takes 5-7 minutes to get a ride. It would be better to have a dedicated elevator from and to the department store.

You know that you will be spending some $$ going to the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, but it is worth it. The service and hospitality is great. The executive lounge is really well done. Also, the spa, sauna and gym are excellent. In addition, you are right above some great places to eat and super close to the subway.

Excellent Spa. Excellent Gym. But the best part is the Executive Lounge. A true delight for bonvoy loyalists. After a busy day of work, take a quick shower and come to the Executive Lounge for a relaxed evening. Nice drinks and nice food. And very comfortable atmosphere.

Good hotel, in a good location if you want to use public transportation. The staff is really nice, also contacted me for something I forgot in the room! The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast is full of choices. I strongly recommend it!

Overall, good experience. The day time staffs are kind and professional enough for the 5 star hotel. The night time staffs may need more training and possibly need more headcount. The room is newly renovated and clean. The breakfast looks nice with korean and western mixture. However, it is a bit strange that the hotel guests cannot park their cars at the easily accessible space which is reserved just for the hotel fitness club members. I have not stayed at any hotel that treats hotel guests with lower priority than fitness club members. And when I asked the reception whether the hotel guests can park the area, the receptionist changed her attitude quite awkwardly. The guests who drive and stay would not be satisfied at this branch if they expect five star services including parking.

5 star hotel with high end amenities. Rooms are clean and feel new. The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor is enormous!

Great hotel. Fantastic service. Spacious and comfortable rooms. One letdown - I stayed for 10 days. The breakfast was the same everyday

The property is nice, but the service at the executive lounge is awful. I went in the lounge at 10:30 Am to ask where I could get food at that time. The staff says the food is finished. I didn't ask them if the food was still available or not. The best answer from the staff should have been Sorry, although the food the not available in the lounge, you can find food at the locations: xxxx, xxxx. I will stay at a different hotel with an executive lounge with better service.

Great hotel but very poor service. Considering breakfast is 80000 won, one would think a cup of coffee refil would be no issue. Sat for 20 minutes, asked 3 different staff and still no coffee. This was my experience on two separate occasions.

Overall a really nice hotel with top notch service, solid rooms, an outstanding executive lounge, and in a great location. Felt comfortable from the moment I arrived until the day I departed. The rooms are sized really well and comfortable. Bed is a bit too soft, but nevertheless leads to solid sleep. The lack of an actual chair to sit at the table for working on a laptop is a peculiar design choice. While the service was nice overall, I am a bit conflicted about the "eco" sign in the bathroom proclaiming a fee for either taking or breaking the shampoo, conditioner, or body soap bottles in the shower. This fee is couched in "saving the environment". Yet, everyday the loofah was replaced with a brand new one, even though it had been used twice max each day, and could be used for a few more. Same with the amenity kit, which was replaced each day even though I had only used one or two of the q-tips and nothing else from the kit. This seems utterly wasteful and counter-intuitive to the alleged eco-consciousness sign in the bathroom. Lastly, I had an issue where a housekeeper actually took my bag of dirty clothes sitting next to my suitcase, and a laundry form sitting *in* my suitcase, all *without* me requesting the service. Not sure why this was done, as I had a plan to turn in the laundry on the day before I depart, so I could leave w/clean clothes. It was all fixed, but demonstrates lack of attention to detail or a training issue w/the staff. Other than those somewhat minor inconveniences, the hotel is quiet and worth the cost.

Spacious rooms, neat and clean. Doormen were exceptionally helpful! Allow some time to wait for cabs, it can be extremely difficult to catch one during rush hours. Hotel is pricey though. But great location - good access to shops and restaurants.

It is absolute not understandable that a hotel like this does not offer one single vegetarian dish on the overnight room service menu and only one vegetarian dish during the day. During my stay I also had access to the lounge Happy Hour - except for salad not one single vegetarian dish. I do understand that cultures and food vary from country to country but a hotel part of an international chain who does not cater for vegetarians or vegans does not deserve to be a multi star hotel!

Very expensive, slowest elevators of all time and the reception/lobby on the 8th floor. The breakfast at the executive lounge, pls skip it. Empty when I enter 09.40

I have booked the hotel for my coming stay in Nov 22. The first problem encountered is there is no email being published for JW Marriott Seoul which makes it impossible for me to contact them in any other way beside calling them directly in Seoul. I am from malaysia so I’ve to incur this unnecessary additional costs on the international calls, which for the hotel info, is not cheap. Is this the company strategy to refrain customer from contacting them as much as possible? Next, come the biggest disappointment following the call with Jw Marriott Seoul. I called all the way to the hotel to request them to prepare some kids toys or a tent and kids amenities as I will be travelling with a 3 year old. The answer from the customer service was so cold and not helpful with a flat NO WE DO NOT PROVIDE SUCH AS ITS NOT AVAILABLE. I have checked their website and there is a family vacation package where they do offer a tent and kids amenities so how could your customer service be telling me there is none. Even if it’s chargeable her role is to advise me and to provide me with some options or help. 1 of the reason I’m booking with this hotel is because I was expecting a great service from the chain since I needed this additional service as I’ll be travelling alone with my toddler without my partner but unfortunately this is not the case now. I still need to contact the hotel to assist me with some restaurants booking which is strictly in Korean. The hotel makes me wonder, so are they expecting the customer to call them every time when they needed some pre assistance and to bear all the international phone cost.

Great hotel with wonderful amenities very convenient to Subway and department stores. The JW Marriott has the best hotel gym and fitness centres I’ve been in, better than most paid gyms. The executive lounge is spacious and has a great breakfast selection.

Fabulous hotel with incredibly attentive staff. Super clean, well appointed rooms. Executive lounge a stand out for food quality, staff and diversity of offers. They do a great job catering to their wide range of guests. If time permits, have a treatment at the spa - it was a trip highlight!

Great location near three subway lines, restaurants and shopping. Great fitness center. However the breakfast is so-so. Next time I won’t do the breakfast package. Also the path from sinsegae department store to the hotel is not obvious and not well marked. I will stay here again now that I figured out how to find the place.

I've been staying here for fifteen years, first time back since Covid. The best part of the hotel is its central location and excellent concierge. The negatives are bathrooms and fitness facilities haven't been part of the renovations, our room flooded from clogged pipes, and sleeping area more cramped than before. They've also become highly restrictive on lounge and pool access, which are timed, and quite stingy on upgrades. This was always my go-to in Seoul, which I always recommended highly, but may try another on my next trip.

The staff was nice. You have access to the department store. The room was comfortable. If your staying for short period, then this is place. All you need in one place.

Stayed here for the first week or so waiting for my apartment to become available. Service was excellent, very friendly and polite. Helpful too!

Given our ambassador elite status, one would expect better service than a local 4 star hotel. No room upgrade, no kids amenities, and the service is barely there. Nothing is available until you call to ask of each... The experience is very short of expectation compared to other Bonvoy hotels especially the concerning departments; reception, reservations and concierge. Upon arrival, one of the concierge staff(woman) ignored us when we didn't know the way to reception. There definitely is a rude awakening since foreign guests are treated with more respect than Korean guests. All in all, the only good thing about JW Marriot seoul is the location. Period. Ps. Among the rude staffs, I was lucky to meet "an" amazing hands-on employee at the executive lounge who was eager to help me with my requests.

Who’s been to a suite with no chairs? Why is it so sparsely furnished? I called and they said “we bring chairs on request” …?

Great place to stay in Seoul, friendly staff and clean rooms, awesome gym and pool if that’s your thing. Breakfast was ok at best, with little selection at the executive lounge.
