This is a beautiful place to visit and not too hard of a hike. Depending on which entrance you go in, there may be many people walking there. Luckily it is not right next to the subway (to reduce the amount of folks going). Bring a snack, and if you like, some cash for the cable car. A nice place for a Sunday.

Great hiking experience in Daegu. There's also cable car if you don't want to go hiking.

Apsan Park is good. The cable car service is a tad bit slow but I am in no rush to enjoy nature's beauty. Amazing sight in the summer. Although I have to admit Palgongsan(Mt. Palgong is better than Apsan in terms of scenic views, amenities and services), it does not diminishes Apsan charm. It costs 9,500 Won for an adult round trip. There are alot of hiking trails to choose from if you are into trail-hiking. At Apsan Lookout Observatory, you will be able to have a birds eye view of Daegu city. Definitely worth visiting.

I went there in the fall and the scenery was very nice haha. It was quite difficult to come down because it was a rocky mountain and it was dark in the evening...

Giant Park with a lot of possible hiking. You can also use the cable car to have a great view of the city.

What a hike for this mountain. I took the patriot trail which starts from the military memorial at the bottom. Lots of steep and uneven trails. There is also a good amount of stairs near the top that make it even more tiring. The view is very well worth it when you make it to the top. I did the cable car back down. There is also a nice restaurant at the top that has an English menu.

Stationed there from '87-'89 at Camp Henry. Went to Apsan in '88 with a couple of Korean friends. If you're ever in Daegu make it a point to go experience the beautiful scenery there. What a beautiful memory I have of Apsan Park.

It's this also known as Mount To-Ap, where the 5 children disappeared in 1991 and bodies found 1997?
