Took a group of 10 people to Cabanon, and had a great night. The food was terrific (beef filled was fantastic!!), and the service was great. Very happy with all the dishes (shrimp appetizer was best in Dakar), beef dishes were great, and so was a grilled fish dish. The view over the ocean is great - sunset would have been awesome had we not got stuck in traffic! 😞 Overall a great dinner, superb location. I would definitely return if I have the chance to be back in Dakar!!!!

The view is beautiful, especially if you catch the sunset. Interior is also very nice. We ordered muscles. They were is this tomato sauce, not what I’m used to in US. Drinks can be too sweet, but I’ll go for the view again.

Totally over rated…in terms of prices… probably riding on past glory. Gréât spacious resto but zero ambiance/décor. I had a lamb médaillon… it was okay… too small with no accompaniments. My friends too were not impressed by their Tapas ( mostly bread? and a fish dish… Would not go back… except for the spectacular sunset 😊

This restaurant is definitely a place to go if you like to take photos of you and the surrounding and the food. I went with a party of 5 total for brunch on a Friday morning. It was surprisingly not busy during this hour. We sat out by the ocean and it was great vibes. What was initially confusing was the way the brunch menu selection worked. The first four of us were given two brunch selection total where we had to fill out for two people on one. This could be done better with an indicator where it’s being selected for 1 or 2 persons. The food was decently good and decent amount of food as well. That was nice. I ended up being full and enjoyed that I could eat most of what I ordered. Overall, service was great. I liked that. Bathrooms were clean, I assume this is managed by a non-Senegalese or someone who knows their stuff about running a business catering to tourists and foreigners who look for comfort and luxury while in Senegal. Just like their ‘In Regards To” statement on their website, “Le Cabanon is an experience where pleasure, sharing and indulgence come together” … they have that down to the tea.

Fantastic addition to the string of restaurants along the petite corniche. This place has easily become one of our new favorite go to spots. Pros - Finished to a very high standard with beautiful wood throughout, a thoughtful design integrating sit down restaurant (indoor and outdoor seating), bar area, sun loungers etc. - great vantage point for watching the sunset and surfers - great for kids: enclosed sand area which is perfect for the kids to play (with helpful staff watching by the way!), they have a kids menu and toddler seating. Food is tasty - mostly Spanish style food including tapas. - generally decent quality (classic) cocktails like mojitos, margaritas etc. - good for sharing and group events: several things on the menu for sharing (2-4 people) including pitchers of margarita. Also seems to be a good spot for larger group events. -Oh, and you can pay by credit card. Cons - Although more expensive that most other restaurants, the quality is worth it. - full menu dinner is only served from 8pm, even the kids menu, which is a bit disappointing. Tapas always available though. - nowhere for kids to play in the water which other places on the petite corniche have - loungers are 5,000 to use which is quite steep if you are already buying food and drinks (and considering that all other places on the petite corniche don’t charge) Overall, highly recommended!

I only ate here once (so far, I'll be back) but the prawns we're not only HUGE but prepared so well. Perfectly grilled, nicely seasoned so the flavors were all there and a nice sauce on the side. Definitely on the list for dining at least a couple times on next trip to Dakar.
