I stayed at the hotel for a conference that was held at the same location. As a conference facility, it was an excellent space with great service, facilities and dining. Even if I was on a personal trip, I would consider this a great location as well. It has a good view of the Atlantic, excellent food (I still dream of the breakfast buffet!) and high quality rooms. I also liked that there was good energy and a little nightlife at the hotel, so you can have a good cocktail without having to leave the hotel.

I love this hotel! It's so beautiful and the stuff is so nice. You could just spend all day long and by the pool and never get bored. They're quite a few different restaurants that you can hang out in and if you get the urge to go somewhere else you can walk through the hotel and get to the Sea plaza shopping area which also has a food court. If you're if you'd like to go to the spa, they have a great one as well as a very nice fitness center that isn't very busy.

Excellent on every level. I cannot say enough good about this hotel. Staff were professional and kind. Systems were computerized and all functions well. The location is excellent. Everything was clean. And when I had a minor problem with my air conditioning the gentleman came and fixed it without hesitation. And by the way the breakfast buffet is so luxurious it’s hard to believe.

Very suitable place for professional and vacation activities, down Dakar, next to the ocean. Can have sometimes traffic congestion but the area is just lovely.

Bad customer service: front desk very slow in check- in and even check-out. Lady at check in treated me very badly, as well as my guests: race issue... came back from on-site mission trip very tired one Friday night, was given a room very close to swimming pool area where a reception was happening, loud music went on and on... asked for change of room, was told no room available... deplorable... for all the money paid, frankly, they can do better... NEVER AGAIN

A popular destination for tourists, business travellers and people who want a night out. Good security, rooms are decent sized and well maintained. Two restaurants and a resto-bar give some variety, although beware if you are gong for lunch you could wait up to an hour, even for standard meals. Reception staff are helpful and welcoming, room staff are friendly and polite. Well done to the team.

Good location in the city and next to the sea plaza shopping center with nice infinity pool over looking the Atlantic Ocean and has one of the best sunset view. The hotel staff are very friendly but the hotel rooms are worn out with ongoing maintenance. The buffet breakfast menu is standard and nothing special about it except Maria which she would her best to serve the customers. I had to change rooms three times due to either construction being done throughout the day in one of the rooms while the other was noisy because it was right next to the pool and restaurant. The last room had two twin beds joined together to make it king bed room 😓

Whatever you do, do not book the apartments. They are far, filled with mosquitos, very low maintenance, no security etc. Unless you want to go have fun with your group of friends, not to mention how expensive it is. The rooms or suites are super. They are clean, modern, comfortable, tvs are modern and big, the teams are super helpful and nice and warm and welcoming. Thumbs up! The pool isn't so clean though. Perfect for business trip.

Nice hotel, a bit on the pricey side for Senegal compared to the amenities there. Connected to the mall so convenient in that way. They also don't do a good job keeping up with pool charges to the room, someone tried to scam us. Thank goodness I took a photo of the receipt for what we did order.

Amazing. Great place, great rooms, great people, perfect location. Rooms are pretty wide. AC and view were fantastic. Safe too. Sea plaza mall is next door, several shops, a cinema and restaurants nearby at walking distance. Not cheap though :-).

One of the best meals I had in Dakar. I didn’t stay here as a guest but I dined in their restaurant and I’m still thinking about this meal. Absolutely stunning hotel located right on the water overlooking the ocean. We were seated right away in their restaurant and to my surprise there were so many options. I went with the classic fish and got to choose my sides. The portions were huge and I want to go back to Dakar just so I can eat this meal again.

The brunch was a great experience with a wide range of options for desserts, tacos, fajitas, grilled meats and other foods, as well as many drinks. Service is fast, efficient and friendly. It’s definitely worth it. I cannot wait to go back!

We felt very well in this large hotel and its many activities, a beautiful spa with excellent massages, a beautiful and large gym with modern equipment, beautiful spacious room with excellent bedding, the staff had helped us a lot in the organization of this beautiful trip

The rooms where mediocre. The ambiance of the pool area priceless. I did have the pleasure of staying in the large suite which was nice. The kitchen area was small and not really functional though it worked out.

The reason why I’m giving the hotel a 5 star is because of the customer service the front desk provided. Mbaye and Rama Sow are phenomenal. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay in Dakar was everything and more. I appreciate you guys so much and will be seeing you guys soon. The view at the hotel is to die for🥰🥰🥰

Expensive. Nice room. Good service. I was bothered a bit with noise from the beach music during the day in my room. But during the night it was quiet. Very nice facilities, although I would have rather paid less for something less fancy.

Beautiful 5-star hotel with breathtaking views. However, disappointed with the service quality and found the prices to be quite high. Shisha was 15.000 cfa ( 25$ ) and it took 30 min to come , same we ordered a pizza it took around 25 min . Overall, the view made it worthwhile, but improvements needed.

They don't allow customer vehicle at hotel entrance, park in parking and walk with luggage to the reception which is a long walk with luggage. They have smelling corridor average rooms, poor sleeping bed, also they charge for any room service like asking for empty glasses and they charge you for it.

We didn't stay here,we just had brunch. It's expensive by American standards, about 80$ per person. That being said,if you can afford it,go for it. Food was good some of the food was great even, location is beautiful.

I truly enjoyed my stay here, I was a little alarmed initially when I saw the snipers on the roof; but the front desk assured me that it was for my safety, considering the fact that foreigners and dignitaries like myself frequently visit the hotel! I would definitely come back to stay a while!

It's a fancy looking hotel, generally the structure and facilities are very good. The room is ample and comfortable. But the air conditioning is impossible to set to my desired temperature, it is on and the room is too cold to sleep, or off and it gets hot. Also, it is impossible to understand the quilt available on the bed. It's so thick and warm as if you were in northern Europe winter. After a couple nights struggling I ended up sleeping with the ac off and only a bedsheet for cover. The room is also so poorly lit. Especially the bathroom, it makes it hard to shave, for instance. There are 3 restaurants, and some of options are very good. Some are just ok. I had a lamb dibi that was the best. Everything is priced as if it was the US. A beer thar costs 600 in the supermarket is sold for 3000 XOF. A positive note has to go to the staff, usually very helpful and polite.

Nice hotel. They had a really nice open air live band playing downstairs by the pool the night my friends and I visited for dinner. The relaxed ambience was really popular with guests. I enjoyed it. I'm not sure I can say the same for dinner though. After we left the pool area and went indoors for dinner, it seemed as if the mosquitoes tripled inside. Hey, I know it's Africa and it's night, but I wonder if anything can be done about this? Is there some kind of mosquito repellent gadget that can be deployed indoors to drive those annoying insects away? Also, the food took about two hours to get ready. That wasn't nice. We were hungry as hell. I don't really blame the hotel staff though. We were like eight on our team and we got to the hotel at about 8pm. We placed different orders and when our orders came, everything was all mixed up. The waiter seemed to be overwhelmed, especially with the language barrier. It's a French-speaking country and the waiter's English wasn't great. Our French was poor too, so, it took everyone some time to sort things out. I didn't stay over at the hotel so I can't comment on their rooms. My friends did though and they didn't have any complaints. In the picture below, I'm the one in the blue suit.

The location was excellent, the food was good and breakfast staff were very efficient. Service at dinner was poor. The upkeep of the rooms needs attention. The bathrooms are old, the shower had no hot water and the bath was mouldy. Management is disinterested to complaints. The hotel is extremely expensive and not worth the price.

I really enjoyed my first time in Dakar. I attended AORTIC 2023 Stayed at Radisson Check in - 5⭐- swift and easy staff is very welcoming and warm hearted Rooms 5⭐- Spacious with good room. Bedsheets crispy white and clean/soft Rain Shower is great Safe works well My room was missing the iron box and was facing the beach so lots of noises from bar and club. But I didn't mind. They had a coffee station - great espresso Good room service Great access to mall Spa was 1000% - Great massage, jacuzzi etc I never used the main pool but it seemed legendary. The most memorable for me was the breakfast Omlette. That was my steal. Greatest omelette ever 🍳

This hotel is a 5 star experience. The staff are very professional and friendly. The only reason that my room gets 4 stars is because I was supposed to have a garden view, but all I could see was a roof full of solar panels. Perhaps it is a solar panel garden. Everything else was beyond expectations.

We came for an evening at the resturant on the pool side today. The service was absolutely terrible! Waiters would never come to assist us, we kept on leaving the table to call them to help us and we were ignored many times. Very uncommon from a hotel this known. Definately wouldnt recommend!

Stayed at the Raddison Blu for three nights in September 2023. For the price, name and reputation i was slightly not impressed. Was expecting heaven but I just got a decent hotel at best. The Pool and certainly the rest room in room needs a bit of general renovation. Food is great however different offerings. Combining the experience with what they are charging ill give them a decent 6.5/10.

Clean rooms, friendly service. As usual, African hotels don’t like air conditioning. The lobby, bar hallways and elevator were a little warm but the rooms were able to be cooled down.

Very bad hotel I have ever seen. I was working in hospitality, and I have good experience. Bad service. We asked bellboy come after 10 min, he came directly we told him we need 10 min. He said don’t worry trolley is here. We putted all our things on trolley and never saw this bellboy again. We by being 2 girls moved trolley from the end of the corridor, security saw us and didn’t even help. We came to reception I didn’t see anybody even pretend that they coming to help us. We stayed in junior suit, no bath robe we requested 3 times and got only on 2nd day. Was no big towels, only small for hands. We were like nagging things. Fridge ok the room wasn’t working and water was coming out. It was my first trip to Senegal, and I couldn’t take anymore I booked another hotel, so I checked out at midnight even without spending last night. Radisson kept bad impressions. I shared on my IG since I’m a blogger, I dint want anybody suffer as I did. We stayed in the room. 288

I can't wait to stay here!!! We were on business staying at a different hotel and stopped here for a nightcap. We really want to come enjoy the atmosphere if there's a daily pool rate, or book this next time instead! Selection at the bar was wonderful and the views were outstanding. Pool is just amazing. Restaurant looks great but we had just eaten. Next time for sure!!

I really enjoyed the oceanfront view of the hotel. It is beyond beautiful! Service is great. Staff is attentive and very kind. My favorite was Lou. Thank you for your hospitality!

The hotel is good but service at the restaurant is non existent. You wait very long to get service. Rather eat somewhere else.

Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly receptionist staff that made our vacation more interesting. Breathing taking outdoor view it’s a non-negotiable for nature and sea lover like us. Food was great. Definitely would recommend this hotel to my friends and family as a holiday destination. We certainly will be back again very soon. A true sample of excellent hospitality!

Bad service, need to walk a lot to get to the rooms. Many rooms give the view to parts of the hotel that have yet to be finished, so not great. I would not recommend this hotel in Dakar

It's a lovely new and clean hotel with a wonderful location and views but.... it's overpriced for food and drinks. and although the staff are very friendly the service is really hit and miss. I waited 40 minutes on a quiet afternoon for a prawn cocktail, which cost me 19e. At dinner everyone at our table had finished their main course before our friend got his burger. They need to sharpen up at those prices.

This hotel is very comfortable and has alot to offer. The free breakfast is delicious and fresh, rooms are very comfortable and come with a mini refrigerator, and the gym is very nice. There's a mall and grocery store attached if you want to avoid the very convenient but high priced food and cocktails served at the hotel. The pool is large with a large outdoor patio and has plenty of seating. The pool bar is staffed all day and thru much of the night so you can hangout with your friends anytime you like. If you're staying in Dakar I would definitely recommend the Radisson Blu Hotel.

A beautiful modern hotel with great view of the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent with wide variety of typical French delicacies. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Rooms much much smaller than I expected. For the price, you can definitely find better hotels in this city. If you’re on a short business trip, it’s cool but if it’s a longer vacation then I wouldn’t suggest bcuz it’s a waste of money. A short business trip for the bar and pool is fitting but for a family vacation it would be a bad idea . It wasn’t a bad stay, although the staff is stuck up, unwelcoming and unfriendly. Idk if it’s bcuz most people are less fortunate and this staff have the privilege of working a decent job considering the country but a decent hello welcome would really be nice. Other than that it’s ok. You’re really paying for the scenery of the hotel and not the service or room. So if you’re staying for more than 3 days it’s a bad idea

Came here for Sunday brunch (£50). A group of 5 didn’t need to book beforehand and were seated straight away. There’s a huge variety of food and the seafood was freshly cooked and divine! Excellent customer service from the cocktail makers. Yes it’s pricey but it’s definitely worth it for the food and entertainment.

Excellent customer service from front desk Manager Demba , the front desk staff and driver.I needed an item from the local market. Demba made the necessary arrangements on my behalf .The driver purchased the item for me from the local market and ensured it's delivery to me before I checked out.I cannot believe the staff went out of their way to ensure my request was fulfilled.Thank you Demba and Radisson Blu Dakar for your excellent customer service and attentiveness to your guests.

Great place, great service. The staffers were helpful, giving me an adapter and other items I needed. When I had my room changed, I forgot a shirt in the previous room and got it back before leaving. The waterfront is a great view! But they can definitely work on the food menu. Not a lot of local options?

Great location. The rooms are very nice. The restaurant and the pool is the best thing about this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a nice mall next door. We definitely will return next time we are in the country.

An astonishing waterfront hotel. Travelling as air crew I've alredy been couple of times at this hotel and I've always would like to spend just a day more in here. Interiors are very glamorous and smart, with some very appreciable modern African art pieces exposed. Rooms are spacious, silent and very confortable. The waterfront pool is the very diamond edge of this hotel, you could spent all day and night at this amazing pool offering not only a stunning view on the ocean, ans some unforgettable sunsets, but also very nice bar service at the same time. Food is an other highlight of this hotel, bar, restaurant and room service offer delicious food very nice presented, with some interesting french influences. Breakfast buffet is very abundant, with a lot of selection between sweet and savoury options. Fitness and Spa centre are very well organized with nice interiors and with good variety of machines and equipment to do most of weights and cardio workout. Staff have always been very welcoming, prompt to assist and professional. I just hope to come back soon.

I've grown up in a country that has the Indian Ocean and read in geography about other oceans like the Atlantic Sea. You can imagine my first emotions. The hotel is great, great continental food - loved the breakfast mushrooms. The rooms were beautiful with a balcony opening to the view of the sea. The hotel has an internal path to a nearby mall making it easy for shoppers. Overall, Senegal is beautiful! See you again!

  • 2/5 Maya F. 1 year ago on Google
Place is modern and relatively new. I came at 9:30pm to check in and got the worst location room where it required two different lifts to access the room. I reserved an ocean view with balcony and it was the side side corner view of the ocean with direct access to ground floor area. I asked them to switch me to another room and I have been waiting for almost 30 mins. Finally got into my room. Lights are a bit dark and balcony is 1ft x 3ft dimension. Ocean view is finally a proper one. Think the prices for the rooms here are overpriced.

I’m writing this review while I am still staying in the hotel. And I must say: I’m beyond disappointed. There was no welcome at the front desk, no information about the amenities. While I was waiting to check in, I was told off for laying down on the outside couch... Which was the big first fail on the hotel’s part. No sunbeds available either because of the crowd. Also, the room isn’t cleaned thoroughly and it’s obvious. There is no tea or coffee in the room provided. The only positive thing would be the location. I’m a very well travelled person and I would NOT recommend this hotel if you’re big on service.

Great location and right next to a shopping center making it easy to buy a few urgent needs if need be. The staff are friendly and always ready to help and follow through. One thing that differentiates Senegalese is most of them can speak English as well making communication Great. The pool has an infinity look as it oversees the sea and the location of the Restaurant is also amazing, right next to both the book and the sea. Overall, food is great, staff are awesome and the place is amazing too

Spent a few days here with family. Friendly staff, welcoming and kids friendly. The adjoining rooms are great. Good meals and room service. External clients book restaurants and other clients living within the hotel can't have access to food. I had to order room service meanwhile I prefer being out of the room

Nice hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathroom consists of shower. The air-condition was switching off by itself. Very beautiful pool with many sunbeds available. Gym was busy. Attaching some pictures for reference.
