Great place to stay. The hotel is well maintained, prim and proper. Everything works well and top notch. Really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely recommend. Breakfast in the morning is great and well nourished. The hotel is also connected to the main city and everything is close by. The view from the hotel is amazing. A must see

Only one night spent before a cruise, but the staff were all very welcoming and friendly and the room and public areas clean and comfortable. Beautiful view over the pool and the ocean from my room on only the second floor. As it sits in the same complex as the Novotel, you can eat lunch and dinner in that hotel. A back gate takes you straight out to the Corniche and the fairly quiet road that leads up to the Pullman Hotel, also in the Accor group, about a 5 minute walk away.

Although the rooms are relatively okay, they are not worth the price. I don't know if the price was inflated because of a global conference in Dakar at the time, which affected demand. But it's unfair to charge over $250 for such a room and service. Rooms were small without the necessary facilities that would meet the standards of a hotel like ibis. There was no fridge and you can't even move furniture around. The room had this smell that seemed like someone had smoked. There's not much variety during breakfast. Even the smallest of hotels serve fried egg during breakfast, but not this one. Food service can be better and kitchen staff can be more friendly. Reception and housekeeping staff are nice and helpful. For them I'll give a plus.

I'm enjoying every bit of my stay in Ibis. Pleasant workers. The sea breeze keeps the outside cozy. You'll hardly feel the heat. There ate great cocktails in the bar too. Cheers and enjoy your stay.

Very nice hotel with best view.. best part is both hotels share premises which makes it more beautiful. Bit expensive for small room.. Room amenities can be relooked since in same price you get a lot in other properties.

Great service from Becaye Sane who sorted my room out every day in a quiet, efficient and very friendly way. I returned to my room always knowing it would be spotless. Others in the team were also very helpful, such Pape. I am very grateful for the free drinking water which is a nice new feature and means you stay well hydrated without having to think about it. My luggage was delayed and Oumar Ka on reception was very thoughtful and showed concern until it turned up. Thank you for a great week.

Good and friendly staff, value for money. Maty specially. Only the rooms are little small and sometimes lights doesn’t work.

I reserved 2 rooms. My colleague had to change rooms twice because of light not working and the other room aircon leaking which made the floor wet. Staff not changing room but trying to fix. 2 hours later my colleague got his room. As for my room rain came in due to a heavy storm night of the 2 oct. The carpet was wet in which my bag wet because it was on the floor.

I had a very good night's sleep here and the staff were all very charming, devoted and kind-hearted. The breakfast buffet is nice, and the outdoor seating and pool areas are very pleasant; the location of course is very convenient in particular if you are pressed for time and going to Gorée island. The room even for an Ibis (and I've stayed at several!) is extremely plain and unremarkable. If you can obtain a discount rate then do stay here but the rack rates are possibly the highest I've ever seen for an Ibis. Accordingly when making your decision do also consider the Novotel next door.

Good reception, good internet services with good communication with respect to being bilingual (trying to make life easier for English speaking people); janitorial services quite impressive with very strict and excellent safety protocols as well as security services - thank you won’t be bad to pass by Ibis just for the pool side view at night !!! 😉

Lovely staff in all parts of the hotel - the front security barrier, swimming pool, cafe and reception and room cleaners. Great location. Good rooms. Breakfast ok. We had a lovely ocean view in our room. Nice shower.

Cheikh at the front desk was a very nice man especially, and the rest of the staff are also very nice :)) rooms were very clean and air con had a lot of adaptability. Also the hotel was in a useful place for optimal access to the best places in Dakar. Shower was clean and WiFi better than anywhere else in Senegal in my experience.

staff spoke english well and were very helpful and kind (especially Cheikh Tidiane) as-well as having very good wifi and nice air conditioned rooms. Also were able to watch football inside whilst eating nice food from the nomad food truck outside. very well located hotel also.

Surprisingly this hotel does not have a refrigerator and kettle in the rooms being situated in Dakar where the day temperature is killing.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the service and care I received at IBIS HOTEL . During my stay Josephine and Oumar KA were helpful. A friendly smile and a warm greeting make a great start. I have seen their Cooperative and sociable characters. They knows how to handle customers professionally. Thank you for make me feel home.i am sure I will come soon for vacation.

This is my second visit to Ibis Dakar in the last three months. The coffee machines at breakfast are still not working. Staff, overwhelmed by their workload, ignore guests waiting in line for morning coffee at the bar. This hotel, often chosen by business travelers, is usually busy in the mornings. It's not an insurmountable issue, but there has been no change, indicating either management's ignorance (which I doubt) or indifference. The reception staff, both men and women, treat guests not as customers but as unwelcome visitors in their home, either stating they are not authorized to address complaints and directing us to someone absent at the moment, or simply forgetting about them altogether. You cannot find such poor accommodation for $130 anywhere else in the world. I'm sorry, but I will not return.
