After traveling in 90+ countries I can tell you this was one of my top five accommodation experiences, one that I will remember for life. Going to Gorée is a once-in-a-lifetime special experience, and it was made even more memorable by Eric and his wonderful family. I felt so welcome in this beautiful place, and the meals I ate were superb. It was peaceful and tranquil, and the location on Gorée is truly great. Gorée is a beautiful island near Dakar, kissed by the shining sun that makes you stay so wistful and romantic. It was a pleasure to spend time there. Only a few issues with the place where I sojourned. Cockroaches in the room. The owner said that it happens in rooms where people love eating inside( we haven't ever done it!). By the way, they provided an insecticide. The water in the shower was cold, most of the time. When I switched on the boiler, the owner called me from the upper floor (scolding me as if I were her daughter) telling me that the power had gone out due to the boiler being turned on.
